Chapter 3368 A Single Sword Qi
Chapter 3368 A Single Sword Qi
After the small tour around the Winterborn Dragon's palace, Alex returned to his room as soon as he could in order to get some free time.
Alone in his room, he continued what he had started back in the fighting arena.
A small Sword Domain formed around him, along with which he created an aura of True Fire Dao mixed with Yang Heat, bringing it closer to becoming a True Sun Fire aura.
He attempted to combine the Sword Qi in the Sword Domain with the True Sun Fire aura now that he had nothing else to focus on, but he found it difficult to do still.
Combining two things that weren't compatible on their own wasn't so simple, and yet this was the way for him to improve his Sword skill to the next level and learn his Dao Sword.
'This won't be my Dao Sword, will it?' Alex thought. As far as he understood about the next stage of the Sword after Sword Heart, he would have to combine Sword Heart with various auras and see which one fit him and was compatible with his fighting style.
That would mean he had to combine dozens and dozens of auras into his Sword Heart to create dozens of different Dao Swords, which he would then have to eliminate one after another until the best one remained.
As such, this was merely the first of the many he was going to make.
Alex watched the thin Sword Qi, barely visible to the naked eye, flash around him. At the same time, the True Sun Fire aura attempted to mix with it, but it failed.
He kept it up for a few long minutes before he thought of a way to reduce the difficulty of his task. Instead of trying to combine two auras at such a scale, he would have to start small first.
Instead of the thousands of Sword Qi that constantly flashed around him, he would have to start with a single Sword Qi and work on it.
Thinking as much, Alex created a single Sword Qi, which stood on top of his finger like a needle standing on its tip. It glimmered in and out of the light as it was far too tiny to even catch regular light.
With a single Sword Qi, Alex felt quite free to do the next part, which was to add the True Sun Fire aura. But he didn't do that part normally either.
Instead of creating the aura, he used his Intent to try and change the aura of the Sword Qi itself.
Just as Alex used his Intent to try and make it happen, his entire body froze in a sudden shock as he abandoned everything.
The Sword Qi vanished.
Alex took a long few seconds to breathe in and wait for something to happen, but nothing did. Slowly, he poured his attention into his Dantian, where the unique energy of the Sun God had nearly stirred earlier.
"That scared the hell out of me," Alex said softly, feeling his navel region. "Was I trying to make something impossible happen? Why did it try to take charge just then?"
Just as Alex had been about to use his Intent, the energy within his Dantian had come forward on its own, seemingly asking to be used instead.
Once he stopped, however, nothing had happened, so he was slightly relieved.
After taking some time to gather himself, Alex tried once again. The Sword Qi appeared on top of his finger, and then he used his Intent to directly add the aura of the True Sun Fire into the Sword Qi.
The energy in his Dantian came active again, and this time Alex was ready for it. He willed the energy to stay put, and it surprisingly
obeyed without any fuss. At this point, it felt more like a loyal subordinate that was willing to help when needed, but would stay away if told to.
With the small moment of panic passing away, Alex focused his Intent on the Sword Qi and made it hot.
The moment the Sword Qi appeared to glow with a bright yellow light was also the same time Alex felt his head try and split open. The pain was quite extreme, although not unbearable for him after what he had gone through to break through the Storm God's seal.
Alex held on despite the pain and watched the single Sword Qi that did exactly what he had wanted it to do. He moved the Sword Qi, digging it into his palm. The Sword Qi vanished once it left a burning hole through his skin.
Once the Sword Qi was gone, his headache vanished as well.
Alex took a moment to go through what he had just done.
"Alright, this is still quite impossible for me, which is why using my Intent is causing me to get so much headache," he told himself. "I need to learn more about it so I feel less pain when I create it. With time, I should be able to add more and more until the True Sun Fire aura is fully added into my Sword Heart."
There was a bit of success there, and at the same time, Alex saw a path forward as well. He practiced for some time longer, but even hours later, he wasn't able to do so for two Sword Qi at once. This would likely require longer training for him. Thankfully, there wasn't much else left for him to do in the near future, so he could more or less focus on it when he had the chance.
A while later, someone knocked on his door, and Alex opened it to find a servant who had brought along a message.
The Wu Clan of the Second Scar Continent had requested him to visit their family. Someone had also come to take him whenever he wished
to leave.
00:52 -
Alex nodded slowly. There were 4 more days before he left this world, and he wanted to stay in the other continent for no more than 2 days. Meaning, in 2 more days, he would leave for the Second Scar
Continent.
