Chapter 3415: Alex’s Considerations
Chapter 3415: Alex’s Considerations
With Battlesage inside his Soul Space, Alex didn’t think he could leave the room unless he wanted people to be curious about where the old man had disappeared to. For a moment, he even wondered if he should just deal with the situation right away and let the Beast God know about his Soul Space so he wouldn’t have to tiptoe around the situation, but he thought better of it for now.
The woman may not be against him right now, but that didn’t mean that she was fully on his side either. The only reason she didn’t hurt him was because she thought he was the so-called ’Savior.’ However, until that was certain, she could turn heel at any moment.
He couldn’t give her any knowledge about him that she could later turn against him.
There was also the fact that he may not be this so-called Savior. According to Bai Jingshen, while the chances of him being the Savior were decent, there was also the chance of Shumi being this person.
Her people called her their Salvation, the person who would bring peace and relief to this world. And those weren’t empty words either, but rather words of wise men and seers. If prophecies were to be trusted—which one would have to do to believe in the Savior’s existence—then prophecy dictated that Shumi would be the one to save the world, while he, the Undying God, would only be a mere helper in her mission.
If any of that was to be believed, then Alex was not the Savior; it was instead Shumi. Which would mean that the Beast God would no longer have a reason to protect him, and that was dangerous.
’Shumi is also a True God now, while I’m merely a half-god,’ Alex thought to himself with a brief sigh. What reason would there be for a Half-God to be the Savior when the Moon Goddess exists?
’Is there a way for a Half-God to become a True God?’ Alex couldn’t help but wonder for a moment. What could one possibly do to reach such a state that the other gods hadn’t tried forever?
These weren’t the first gods, after all. Alex remembered several gods from Godslayer’s memories, including the late Fire God, Water God, Forest God, Ice God, and the greatest god within recorded history, the old Sky God. They were all strong gods, each one clearly a Half-God, and yet not a single one had succeeded in becoming a True God.
They were, in fact, so weak that Godkiller had killed them all. Although Alex couldn’t really compare the gods to someone like Godkiller.
The thought that Godkiller could be a True God did cross his mind, but Alex quickly threw it away. There were two pieces of evidence that he wasn’t one.
First, he was too weak.
It felt strange to consider a man who could easily kill gods to be weak, but in the grand scheme of things, if Godkiller were strong enough, he could have fixed the situation with the planet all on his own. He was clearly benevolent enough to help those in need, so the fact that he hadn’t done so made Alex believe that he didn’t have the energy that was needed to make it happen.
Second, Bai Jingshen never said he was. He never even said he was similar to one, and that tiger was an expert on the topic of Godkiller.
"I was a True God, if only for a moment before I sealed the Sun God," Alex thought to himself. "Is there a chance I can become one again without doing anything but just absorbing energy?"
That was probably not true, but what if he found a way to turn his impure energy into pure energy?
"Strip it away from the Qi and remove its aura, huh?" he thought to himself. Could it work?
He didn’t waste any time at all, starting immediately. The stream of energy flowing into his dantian had grown minimally within the past few weeks, to a point where it wasn’t even worth mentioning. That being said, Alex was happy that it hadn’t dropped any further, and at the rate it was going, he could soon have enough to conduct experiments.
Alex truly wanted to know just how much of this energy he could contain in his body. Since it was mixed with the Qi, would there be a day when he would have so much of this energy that Qi would be an afterthought for him? Or would it replace Qi entirely? Or was there a threshold that he didn’t know about?
There were so many questions regarding what would happen when he got an excess influx of this energy. Sadly, that was not something he would be able to answer himself.
At the rate it was coming in, Alex could tell that the energy wasn’t even a hundredth of his Qi. To become equal in amount to his Qi—which, to be fair, was quite high due to his body constitution—it would easily take him multiple decades, maybe even more than a century. It depended on the change in the rate, as well as on whether he was forced to use it throughout.
Putting those thoughts aside, Alex began focusing on the energy itself and seeing what he could do to it. Since he needed the energy to separate itself and lose its aura, Alex first thought of the simplest way he could think of.
To use his Intent.
With a thought, he forced the energy to separate. The moment he did, intense pain erupted within him. He could tell that the energy simply did not want to budge. He was used to mental pain, so he thought he could force it, but no matter how much he tried, the energy was a boulder to his mind, and he had a feeble body in its presence.
Even attempting to remove the Fire and Yang aura resulted in the same situation.
For now, this was definitely not the path to take.
