Eternal Cultivation of Alchemy

Chapter 3531 A Seed

Chapter 3531 A Seed

Alex's next challenge was to get the pillbugs to breed. However, it turned out not to be much of a challenge at all. If he simply separated the females and placed them before the males, they would choose mates on their own and get it done.

Alex could not have expected it to be so simple.

What he had thought would take multiple months ended up being done in less than an hour. Now, all he had to do was wait for the female pillbugs to produce their brood. Even if a brood had only 50 or so pillbugs, considering that Dragon-blooded pillbugs could produce about 20 broods in their lifetimes, it would be a lot anyway.

Not every birth would be without issues, so a more realistic estimate of the total number of pillbugs would be closer to 700.

Alex kept the bugs safely stored away and focused on his cultivation. He had been cultivating for quite some time now, so he took a short break to interact with the people in the Beast God's palace.

The Beast God herself was away for the moment, but he met up with Xue Yu'er and Bigshell.

Bigshell had wanted to properly thank him for everything for quite some time and hadn't had the chance. So the moment he saw the opportunity, he took it.

Alex tried his best to refuse the man's offerings, but couldn't in the end. He accepted them and stored them away. The man was grateful.

His meeting with Xue Yu'er went a lot more smoothly. The woman simply wanted to hear about Alex's own story, as well as the things that had happened back in her home world.

Alex told her everything he could, which was quite a lot for her to take in. Ignoring the fact that Alex himself had only started cultivating because of something the Sky God's disciple did, she was quite surprised to learn that the Godkiller had gone and hidden away in the

3rd Major Spirit Realm.

Alex kept it rather vague as to what had happened to the Godkiller in the end, saying nothing about the other world where his people had come from. There was simply no way to tell her that.

By the end of their conversation, Xue Yu'er began wondering if she had perhaps done less in her much longer lifespan than Alex had in the mere two millennia he had been alive.

She had been a sect master, but he had been a king. She had joined a sect and later left it to participate in a tournament, and so had he.

And he had done it faster.

She had gone on a journey to see the moon, and yet Alex had been to Hell and back. He had visited the three Beast Immortal realms. And perhaps most fascinating of all, he had become the disciple of one of the strongest cultivators alive.

This was not something an ordinary person could accomplish.

After they were done talking, Xue Yu'er began wondering if she should do more as well. She had so much talent, and it was all being wasted because she refused to leave the Beast God's palace.

While she could say many things to others about why she had joined the Beast God's faction, the simple truth she understood deep in her heart was that the Beast God provided a safe refuge for her to hide in, so that no one else could trouble her the same way they had when she first began cultivating, or later when she became an Immortal.

She hid away because she feared her beauty was a curse. But she was a Divinity now. While she might not be among the strongest of those she frequently interacted with, it did not diminish her achievements.

In a world of billions of cultivators, being one of the few thousand Divinities still made her one in a million.

And now, Xue Yu'er wanted to be more than that.

A seed had been planted in her after her conversation with Alex. She

wanted to travel the world more. She wished to see different realms. And in doing so, she hoped to grow both as a cultivator and as a

person.

That was what she wanted from her life now.

Unaware of how he might have changed the trajectory of Xue Yu'er's future with his story, Alex made his way back to his room for further cultivation.

On the way, he contacted Pearl and Scarlet to see how they were doing. He could faintly sense their presence far to the west, so they had to still be on this continent.

Pearl replied quite quickly. They were apparently in a city called Stillstone, where an attraction called the Battle Arena was located. Hearing the name, Alex could guess what it was about.

"You got bored and wanted to fight again, didn't you?" Alex asked.

"Not me," Pearl quickly answered. "It was Sister Scarlet who wanted to fight. She hasn't had the chance to fight after all."

"Oh. So she is fighting right now?" Alex asked.

"Ah, no. She is right here. Your clone is the one fighting right now,"

Pearl answered.

"Huh?"

Alex wasn't sure he had heard it correctly. "Alex is fighting? Why?"

It took nearly half a minute before the next reply came. "Sister Scarlet might have accidentally made an enemy here after defeating them a bunch of times. They got into an argument outside the arena, and in the heat of the moment, she claimed that they were so weak that even mortals could beat them."

There was a brief pause before the rest of the message came.

"And to prove that, she made Brother Alex join the arena."

Alex could hardly wrap his head around what was happening.

"What's going on now? How is Alex doing?" he asked quickly.

"Well..." Pearl replied. "They're struggling to understand how someone who's barely in the True realm is defeating Immortals left and right. But other than that, it's all fine."
