Chapter 3560 Reversal
Chapter 3560 Reversal
Alex began handing out the rest of the souvenirs he had gathered throughout his time away from his family. Most of them were artifacts he happened to find, aside from a few which he had bought on purpose.
Unsurprisingly, while his family did accept everything, it was clear that many of them did not require them at all. In fact, it would be surprising for them to be excited about any such thing they received when they had likely received a lot from the Sky God herself.
Even throwaway artifacts from that woman had to be worth more than most of what Alex had.
"Right," Alex said, remembering something. "I do have something else that is quite incredible, but it will require the person to regress their cultivation base back to the initial Immortal realm. Is anyone willing?"
"What is it?" Hannah asked curiously.
"Unfortunately, it won't work for you, sister," Alex said. "You're already in the Divine realm. The pill that makes the regression happen won't work for you."
"That's fine. Still, what is it?" she asked.
"It's a technique that allows you to have more than one Creation at the same time," Alex said. "Since this technique needs to be used at the Immortal Origin realm, you will need to regress your cultivation."
"Why all the way to the start if it's only the Origin realm that matters?" Hannah asked.
"Because the pill I will be using can only do that," Alex answered. He looked around. "Is anyone willing?"
"Can I accept it?" Long Huan asked.
"You can, but you won't require the pill, brother Huan. You aren't high enough to require regression," Alex said. "In the same way, Father will receive it too. And so will Alex and Emily, if they ever reach the Immortal realm. It's the rest of you that need to make the decision."
"Can I accept it as well?" Hao Ya asked.
"Of course," Alex said. "Anyone else?"
"Well, my cultivation base has reached quite far, so regressing doesn't feel nice," Helen said. "But if it is that important, then I might be willing to accept it."
"You should, mother," Alex said. "It is a chance to redo your Creations if you are not happy with them. That reminds me, what exactly are your Creations?"
He turned toward the four females in the room, each one of whom had already chosen their Creations.
Liz was the first to respond. "Do you want to see?" she asked.
Alex gave an expectant nod.
Suddenly, he felt something touch him. An aura that emerged out of Liz as an image appeared behind her. The image was undecipherable, a mess of purple aura folding into itself.
Unlike the regular Spirits he had seen in his time—from flowers to spearheads to skulls—this was something very different. While he had never sensed this aura specifically, he could be certain that this was certainly a type of Time aura.
Considering his lack of understanding of it, it had to be one of the few ones he hadn't come close to learning just yet.
Alex could tell he was affected by it, which he could stop if he used the Spirit Reversal technique, but he chose not to because he trusted his aunt. He waited for something to happen, but nothing did.
Just as he thought he might have been unaffected by the aura, he sensed strange stares from around the room. He turned around to look at them.
"What's wrong?"
"Did you not realize?" Scarlet asked. "I thought you could sense time."
"I could. I mean, I can. What's wr—"
He finally sensed it. Not the aura, but the true time of the world that he could always tell thanks to his Dao of Temporal Awareness.
In the span of a few seconds, over 5 minutes had passed.
Alex's eyes narrowed in confusion. How could this be possible? Had time been sped up for just him? That would make sense, only he didn't sense the Dao of Temporal Swiftness at all. He had the Dao, so if that was what Liz had used, he should've noticed.
But it wasn't. It was an entirely different aura.
"That's my Creation," Liz said proudly. "Could you tell what I did?"
Alex slowly shook his head. "You sped up time, but that wasn't it. Five minutes passed in the span of a few seconds still, in which case… did you stop time?"
He could hardly believe what he was saying himself, but it had to be true. She had to have stopped time just for him. He should have remained there, frozen in time for a while before she let him act again.
"Everyone thinks it's that," Liz said proudly. "But my master didn't teach me something so simple."
"Simple? Master?" Alex didn't know where to begin.
"You should stop with the suspense, mother. He's already too dumbfounded. He's not going to figure it out."
Alex turned to his aunt and nodded, waiting for her to speak.
"Fine," she said. "My Creation is the aura of Temporal Reversal. I can reverse time."
Alex stared at her in awe. "You can… reverse time?" he asked.
"Yes, to some degree," Liz said. "And it costs a lot of energy, mind you. But yes, I can reverse time."
Alex couldn't help but be in awe of what he had just heard. "Time Reversal. So that's what that aura was. No wonder it is so strange. I don't think I've ever sensed it before."
Even inside the void, it was impossible to find aura for temporal reversal, so the best Alex could do was simply recognize the aura as having something to do with time. Beyond that, he had no idea.
"And you said your master taught you this?" he asked.
Liz nodded.
Only one name came to mind for Alex who could do such a thing.
"Surely you don't mean the Divination God, do you?" he asked.
"That's exactly who I am talking about," Liz said. "He is my master. He's been teaching me how to perform divination for over a thousand years now."
