Chapter 3622 The Whole Truth
Chapter 3622 The Whole Truth
Alex felt the world around him move in a way that he could not follow. He was teleported from the edge of the cliff directly to the palace up above, but the mysteries held within this teleportation were not ones he was privy to.
It was not that there was some special dao that was being used for this teleportation, but rather the aura itself was being hidden from him. He almost got a sense that it was the Sky God's attempt at hiding the truth of where he was being teleported to.
Of course, when he arrived inside the hall, it was very apparent where they had come to.
"Are you the Sun God?"
The Sky God didn't waste a single moment asking him that question. They were both still standing, looking at each other, as she demanded the answer.
"I do have the Sun God's body," Alex said as his answer.
The Sky God snorted. "That's not what I asked you. Are you the Sun God?"
Alex realized very quickly that there was no way out of this situation. As such, he could only give a gentle nod in return.
"Yes, I am."
The Sky God's eyes widened slightly, finding it impossible to say anything afterward.
Bladedance arrived around the same time, quickly walking up to the two of them.
The Sky God turned toward her. "You knew this too, didn't you?" she asked.
"You'll have to be more specific," Bladedance said.
"That he's the Sun God."
Bladedance shook her head. "He's not."
The Sky God was taken aback even more so. "He just confessed."
Bladedance turned toward Alex. "Why are you lying? You're not the Sun God."
"I am the Sun God."
Both of the Celestials were confused now.
"I don't understand. Did you know about this or not?" the Sky God asked Bladedance.
"I thought I did. He told me the inheritance failed. As such, he's not the Sun God," Bladedance quickly answered before turning toward Alex. "Did you lie to me?"
"No!" Alex shook his head. "The inheritance did fail. I am not a True God. However, for some reason, I am a Half-God now, and that started after I made the claim of being the Sun God. So, for better or for worse, I am indeed the Sun God."
The Sky God took her time processing the information. She walked away from the two and sat down on the couch, continuing to think of the situation. After a while, she turned toward Alex again.
"You claim to be the Sun God, but you are not THE Sun God. Is that correct?" she asked.
Alex nodded. "That would be accurate. Yes. I am not a True God as I failed to gain the inheritance of the True God."
The Sky God was fascinated by this. "Can you tell us what happened?"
Alex thought for a moment and shook his head. "I can give you some details surrounding the subject, but I cannot go into detail."
"That's fine. Just help me understand exactly what is happening," she said. "There are now claims of the Moon Goddess coming back, so if you can help with that too, then please do."
Alex nodded and began his explanation of the situation. He spoke from the beginning of how he had been beckoned to the Sun's Talon realm for a long time now and had finally gone there when he was in the Beast Realm. There, he talked about the trial that had started, which was meant to pass along the inheritance of the True Gods to the two individuals who were born with those body constitutions.
They passed the trials and were even given the inheritance. However, Alex explained that something went wrong with his inheritance, which was why he wasn't the True God right now.
"What exactly went wrong?" the Sky God asked with utmost curiosity.
"One requirement for taking on the inheritance was to give up on my autonomy, which I had no intention of doing. I vehemently refused such a condition, and as such, I never received more than a small part of that inheritance. I don't know how it works, but I believe that small part allowed me to become a Half-God at the moment."
The Sky God nodded slowly. "I was previously told that your body evolved while you were with the beasts too. Was it alongside this event?"
"It was within the trials, yes," Alex answered. "I evolved mine, and she evolved hers."
"The Moon Goddess?"
Alex nodded.
The Sky God was even more fascinated with the topic. "What happened to her? Is she like you too?"
"Like me?"
"A Half-God that was rejected by the inheritance."
"Ah! No," Alex quickly answered. "She did receive her inheritance entirely. She is indeed the Moon Goddess right now."
That concerned the Sky God more than Alex thought it would have. "Did she lose autonomy as well? Is she just a vessel for the inheritance to act through?"
Alex quickly shook his head. "Her inheritance was slightly different than mine. She didn't lose her autonomy and instead gained it entirely. She should be the single True God currently alive in this world."
The Sky God slumped in her seat when she finally took in the whole truth. Her eyes defocused as she was lost in her own thoughts.
Alex turned toward his master. "What exactly happened with that demon from earlier?" he asked. "Did she come here for something?"
"The Moon Goddess has called for a peace talk to end all wars and connect our two species. She wants the gods to come for a talk in the Beast Realm," Bladedance explained.
Alex thought for a moment and slowly nodded. "It makes sense that she would do that. If she is to do what she must, then this is definitely the first step."
"Do you understand what she is doing?" the Sky God asked.
"I… have some idea," Alex said. "But I'll let her explain it to you all. It would be better that way."
