Chapter 1673: Void Annihilation Trinity Scripture (2)
The Dread Duchess then looked Eva directly in the eyes as she explained the requirements for cultivating the Void Annihilation Trinity Scripture.
"The requirements to cultivate this spell art are strict. You must possess comprehension of both Space Law and Destruction Law. You must also awaken at least two corresponding Mystical Abilities."
Eva nodded calmly, as she already possessed two Space-type Mystical Abilities for Destruction; one had already awakened, and the second was close.
The Dread Duchess naturally knew this, having personally witnessed Eva’s terrifying comprehension abilities, especially in the field of Space Law. It was as if Eva were naturally born to cultivate the Law of Space. Which was why she dared to pass down the technique; otherwise, it would’ve been meaningless.
"Now, you may begin!"
Without hesitation, Eva injected her consciousness into the jade scroll, and the next moment, countless runes exploded in her mind, forming ancient formulas, combinations of laws, Qi-circulation pathways, Void structures, and spatial-destruction matrices.
They flooded her consciousness like a storm, yet instead of struggling, Eva instantly began to understand them. Her terrifying bloodline, hidden behind her disguise, revealed itself.
The surrounding space began to tremble; tiny distortions appeared around her, and threads of destructive Qi emerged, intertwining with spatial fluctuations.
The Dread Duchess watched silently, and several minutes passed, then several more. Finally, a tiny black crack appeared before Eva’s fingertip. The crack lasted only an instant before disappearing.
Yet the Dread Duchess’s eyes lit up in astonishment, as that tiny crack contained traces of Void Annihilation Qi. It simply meant that Eva had already entered the first step.
Even the Dread Duchess took a full fortnight to reach this step. A rare feeling of satisfaction emerged within her heart.
’As expected, my disciple’s talent is monstrous. Perhaps even more monstrous than I’ve initially believed.’ She thought with great pride.
Eventually, Eva opened her eyes, and she appeared somewhat stunned as the technique was profound beyond imagination and terrifyingly powerful.
Moreover, there was something that probably even those Abyssal Kings did not know about this Void Annihilation Trinity Scripture.
It turned out that as long as a being who masters the Void Law cultivates it, the requirements for the Space and Destruction Laws could be bypassed directly!
Not to mention Eva was a full-fledged Void Abyssal Devil, a bloodline which had never been seen or even heard within the Abyss of Wandering Souls, and the Void Annihilation Trinity Scripture seemed to be tailor-made for her!
The Dread Duchess nodded approvingly, "You’ve exceeded my expectations again."
Even receiving praise from the Dread Duchess was an extraordinary achievement, yet Eva remained calm.
But she still joyously replied, "It’s all thanks to your teaching master. If not without your recognition, I would’ve long since turned into a slave by that vile Viscount."
"Hmph! There’s no need to mention your past. That scandalous trash deserved to die a thousand times!" The Dread Duchess showed extreme disdain and killing intent as she stated.
Eva had just mentioned the first time she and Dread Duchess met, but in truth, the entire scenario had been instigated by Eva to earn the Dread Duchess’s favor, and since she was here, it had, without a doubt, gone well beyond Eva’s expectations.
The Dread Duchess was unaware of Eva’s inner thoughts and thought this incident was a scar to her cherished disciple, so she didn’t mention it again.
She then waved her hand, and the jade scroll disappeared.
"The remaining sections will wait until your cultivation rises."
"Understood!"
The Dread Duchess then stood up and sternly declared, "The war has not started yet; you still have time. There is a cultivation chamber prepared exclusively for you."
Eva nodded. The Dread Duchess continued, "When the battle begins, I will personally assign your position."
A hint of disdain appeared in her voice as she stated, "As for Kharon...do not place excessive expectations upon him. He is useful enough. But that is all, if not able to perform to my expectations."
Naturally, she had no idea she was talking about Ace; otherwise, she would never dare make such a statement. Eva almost smiled, and the Dread Duchess failed to notice.
"Both of you may remain within the fortress until the war begins." She then looked at Eva seriously, "And one final thing."
Her voice became cold, "The Void Annihilation Trinity Scripture is an Evernight Duke-level inheritance. You are forbidden from revealing it to anyone. Not your companions or subordinates. Not even your future followers. Understood?"
Eva respectfully nodded before she snickered playfully, "This disciple understands. Anyway, even if I try to teach it to others, they won’t be able to learn it, so don’t worry about it too much, master."
The Dread Duchess nodded in satisfaction, "Well, you had a point. "
With a wave of her hand, the doors opened.
"Go cultivate. The next time we meet..." Her eyes turned toward the distant Undead Boundary, "...the conquest may already have begun. You must take this chance to perform well, for there might be an unexpected fortune waiting for you if you catch ’their’ attention..."
Eva was startled when the Dread Duchess made that last remark, and, seeing she had no intention of clarifying further, Eva knew it was probably a secret even the Dread Duchess didn’t dare disclose.
Eva instantly thought of the entities that even the Dread Duchess wouldn’t dare offend, and of those who would show such respect even in their absence.
But instead of feeling ecstatic like any other Evernight Noble, she became wary and gloomy because if those entities were really here, then Eva and Ace couldn’t move as they pleased!
With a heavy heart, Eva was dismissed, and outside the chamber, Ace waited calmly.
The moment Eva emerged, their eyes met briefly; neither spoke, yet Ace could tell Eva had learned something that wasn’t good for their plan.
"What happened?" Ace asked quickly, keeping up the façade of Kharon.
Eva grimly replied through their connection, "If I’m not wrong, then more than one Evernight King will be here, or they might’ve already arrived!"
