Chapter 1679: Wreaking Everything in Path

Chapter 1679: Wreaking Everything in Path

Right after the thunderous roar, from one of the colossal underground tunnels, an incomparably gigantic undead beast charged toward them. Its body resembled a fusion between an enormous corpse serpent and an armored mountain.

Countless corpse veins pulsed beneath its bone armor; entire fortress districts could have rested upon its back. Its blood-red eyes contained only endless slaughter.

Above all, it’s terrifying aura, which had already reached the boundary of the Abyssal King Realm!

It was none other than the Vein-Carriage of Undead, but unlike its previous harmless form, it seemed to have completely transformed into terrifying and dangerous!

The Evernight Demon King’s eyes flickered as this was the first time she had seen something like this.

"So, they do have hidden watchdogs!" Even though she didn’t recognize the Vein-Carriage, she had seen something similar in the past.

"It seemed just like those mindless undead war puppets, as it follows only commands engraved upon its soul. " She smiled with amusement, "It possesses power...but lacks true King’s Might. Without that...it poses no real threat. It’s just a false Abyssal King."

A trace of nostalgia flashed through her voice, "It’s just like the creation of the Earth Wraith Clan. I never thought I’d encounter something similar here. This could be the perfect new material for my research. This place...is becoming increasingly interesting. Don’t you agree, Eldest Senior Brother?"

The Evernight Fiend King naturally knows about the undead war puppets of the Earth Wraith Clan, but he wasn’t interested in researching them; destroying them was another matter entirely.

He merely sneered, "Interesting indeed, but no challenge at all. A false king...is still false. Worthless..."

Yet, before his sentence finished, three more terrifying roars echoed from different directions. The underground world trembled before three additional Vein-Carriages burst through separate tunnels. Four gigantic False Abyssal Kings now surrounded them.

Even the Demon King blinked with a hint of astonishment.

"...Four?" Her brows rose slightly as even she found this surprising. "Even the Earth Wraith Clan possessed only one such puppet before their extinction. And the Corpse Clan somehow possesses four? Just how much are the Undead Boundary really hiding?"

The Evernight Fiend King, however, simply laughed out loud, which was wild and battle-crazed laughter.

"Hahaha! Excellent!"

His spear intent instantly erupted, and the underground world fractured as he looked toward the Evernight Demon King and coldly said in an irrefutable tone...

"Don’t interfere. I’ve been wanting to stretch my muscles."

The Evernight Demon King smiled sweetly and nodded, "Gladly."

The next instant, she stepped into another layer of space, completely disappearing from the battlefield, leaving the floor to the Evernight Fiend King.

On the other hand, the four Vein Corpse Carriages roared simultaneously, their gigantic bodies shook the underground world as they unleashed terrifying corpse arts filled with endless corpse chains, mountain-sized bone spears, corpse tidal waves, and spatial crushing.

Every attack carried enough power to threaten even Half-Abyssal Kings like the Dread Duchess and Midnight Duke.

Yet that was all because they might possess strength, but not intent, and they might possess law power, but not true comprehension, for they were kings without kingship!

The Evernight Fiend King’s grin widened, "You insects...don’t deserve to wield the title of King."

His halberd instantly materialized and descended.

’BOOOOOOOM!!’

With one strike, the first Vein Corpse Carriage exploded into countless fragments. Then came a second sweep, and the second war beast was cleaved cleanly in half.

Without stopping, he stepped forward, and his spear intent pierced heaven and earth. The third puppet attempted to unleash a devastating corpse beam, but it never finished. The halberd shattered both the attack and its skull simultaneously.

Finally, the fourth Vein Corpse Carriage roared while charging with its mountain-sized body. But the Evernight Fiend King didn’t retreat; instead, he launched a punch. A fist wrapped in Destructive Terror Fire collided head-on with the charging false king.

"CRAAAAAASSSSHHHHH!!"

The colossal undead war beast disintegrated, leaving behind bone, flesh, corpse crystals, and soul inscriptions as everything was pulverized into dust. The underground world became silent once more.

The Evernight Fiend King stood amidst the drifting ashes without a single scratch upon his body, and his battle intent had only grown stronger.

"So..." He rested the halberd upon his shoulder, "Is that all you’ve prepared for me?"

The Evernight Demon King appeared again, and no speck of dusk or grime could touch her. She pouted as she complained, "Eldest Senior Brother, you could’ve left at least one intact for little junior sister!"

The Evernight Fined King grunted, "Hmph, these playthings are of no use to us. Just pick up that cleaved one if you want to mess you around."

’Always a brute!’

The Evernight Demon King gave the Evernight Fiend King a side-eye before she waved her sleeve, and all the remains of the Vein-Carriages vanished without any traces.

The Evernight Fiend King paid the Evernight Demon King no heed, as he knew her personality, and once she had collected everything, without stopping, they continued the descent through the tunnels filled with corpse veins.

If it were anything else, they would’ve been lost in that maze of tunnels since only the Vein-Carriages could determine the correct route as they were designed for it.

However, with Evernight Demon King’s eyes, these hidden routes within the Corpse Veins became visible in the day, especially when the Vein-Carriage took those routes to attack them.

At this moment, before them stretched an enormous wall of dark stone. It looked completely natural, as though it had existed since the birth of the Lower Grave Strata itself.

Ancient corpse vines crawled over its rough surface while dense corpse Qi seeped from countless tiny cracks. At first glance, it was nothing more than another mountain wall hidden beneath the Undead Cradle.

Yet the Evernight Demon King’s expression slowly changed as those empty white eyes were no longer looking at the wall itself. Instead, countless ancient runes flashed across her pupils, space folded, and layers of concealment unraveled.

Invisible laws hidden within the mountain were gradually stripped apart before her terrifying eyes, and a faint smile slowly appeared.

"I found it."

The Evernight Fiend King looked over. "Oh?"

The Evernight Demon King pointed toward the seemingly ordinary cliff, and her eyes narrowed, "This wall. It isn’t natural. Someone deliberately constructed it. It blocks ordinary law perception. Even my senses couldn’t penetrate it directly."

Her smile widened slightly, "But...it cannot completely erase traces."

Her fingers gently tapped the air as her eyes gleamed with curiosity, "Those little toys we encountered, the undead war beasts, I can still perceive remnants of their movements, and this place seemed to be the origin of those traces. Which could only mean they were here, and they never came back out."

The Evernight Fiend King’s savage grin immediately widened. "So, this is the entrance?"

The Evernight Demon King nodded, "I’m almost certain. The concealment is extremely sophisticated. It isn’t meant to keep people out. It’s meant to conceal whatever lies beneath."

She softly laughed, "The Corpse Clan truly hid well."

The Evernight Fiend King’s bloodthirsty eyes burned brighter, "Then there’s nothing left to think about."

His enormous halberd slowly appeared in his grasp once more, and a terrifying spear intent exploded, sending the surrounding mountain ranges into an instant tremor.

’BOOOOOOOOOM!’

Without another word, he struck; the halberd descended like divine judgment as dark-golden destructive flames erupted alongside overwhelming spear intent, compressing into a single line before crashing into the gigantic wall.

The next instant...

’CRAAAAAAAAAAASH!!!’

The entire mountain exploded; millions upon millions of tons of corpse stone were obliterated instantly. The concealment arrays shattered one after another before they could even activate.

Ancient runes collapsed, defensive formations disintegrated, and an enormous hole was blasted straight through the seemingly endless cliff. The entire underground world shook violently.

For a brief moment, everything became silent and then...

’RUMMMMMBBBBLLLLEEEEE!!!’

The remaining sections of the wall collapsed like an avalanche, dust mixed with dense corpse Qi filled the enormous cavern, and slowly, the hidden world beyond finally revealed itself!
