Chapter 344: Demon God’s Revival
Chapter 344: Demon God’s Revival
"Mayven! Have you betrayed the nine Divine Clans?"
"Are you going to let the Demon God return to this world?", one of the people engaged with Mayven couldn’t help but scream in horror, as his blood spilled across the land, crushing the mountains and cities below.
The Demon Sovereign had to admit that he was truly scared.
He no longer wished to fight with Mayven. This guy was a complete lunatic!
If the fight did not stop, at least two of the three Demon Sovereigns would have to die in order to take him down.
"Mayven! Have you considered that this is all the Demon God’s plan? What if your daughter died in his hands instead?"
"His plan is to sow discord among us and divide us!"
Knowing that Mayven could not be convinced through logic, one of the Demon Sovereigns decided to change the subject and try something else.
And indeed, their seemingly naive idea actually worked.
The attacks of Mayven gradually turned less fierce, as his eyes became increasingly cloudy.
"Indeed, indeed!"
"What if Ophis died at the hands of the Demon God?"
"Did the Demon God kill my daughter? Yes! Yes! He must have! He must have!", he muttered in a low voice as his actions suddenly halted.
Raising his head, he revealed a pair of bloodshot eyes beneath his messy dark hair. He stared in the direction of the Demon God’s Cemetery with overwhelming fury.
"Damn you! It’s you! You killed my daughter!"
"Demon God! I’ll never rest as long as you’re alive!", he roared.
Ignoring the three Demon Sovereigns, he rushed towards the demi-plane.
The curved blade in his hand shone brightly, and his aura grew even more powerful as he prepared to strike at the cemetery.
The three Demon Sovereigns immediately made way for him, unwilling to mess with him.
They couldn’t help but wipe the imaginary sweat on their foreheads as they watched him leave.
They cursed inwardly. How come Mayven had turned completely insane?
Watching the situation from afar, Liora immediately noticed his sudden shift in movements.
She also accurately captured the Clan Heads fighting against the Hall Masters, deliberately making way for him, holding the Hall Masters back, and indirectly helping Mayven.
Of course, their purpose was not really pure. They wished to let Mayven test the Demon God, allowing them to investigate his current state and how much of his strength he had recovered.
Fortunately, Mayven did not seem to have noticed or cared about their plans. Lost in the death of his own daughter, he had long lost his sanity.
Approaching the Demon God’s Cemetery, he let out one final thunderous roar before his Divine Aura started to burn.
The Indestructible Matter-like substance in his body was quickly consumed, being the price of his strength increasing for a short period of time.
Although Liora was far away, she felt threatened when looking at Mayven’s curved blade.
In his current state, he might be able to suppress or even kill a Greater Devil at the second stage.
Liora was not the only one who noticed him.
Seeing that his three subordinates were being held back and that the frenzied Mayven was about to strike at the demi-plane, the Demon God knew that he could no longer sit still.
With a flicker, the light within the dark void disappeared and emerged in the outside world.
Compared to not long ago, its golden color had grown even further, though the murky black and crimson red colors had not been completely wiped out just yet.
The Demon God was disappointed to see this. However, after he let out a regretful sigh, he began to construct his own body.
The light shook as Divine Aura rushed out and quickly took a material form.
First, a lifeless head appeared, then a torso, and finally, the four limbs were attached to it.
The moment the body was formed, the colorful light settled onto it.
The body’s eyes opened wide.
A terrifying aura, faintly surpassing the Demon Sovereign stage, spread from him at the center, as his outline blurred before vanishing.
In the outside world, few people sensed those changes.
Though the process sounded complicated, less than a second had gone by in reality.
The fight between the Clan Heads and three Hall Masters was still ongoing, while Mayven was still getting ready to launch his desperate strike.
However, just when his very existence was about to burn, the air suddenly froze.
A figure emerged before everyone.
With unkempt red hair that fell on his wide shoulders and a tall but lean build, a man appeared at the center of the battlefield.
His oppressive aura attracted everyone’s attention.
The Clan Head’s attacks paused for a brief moment, while the Hall Masters turned towards the man with a pious gaze.
"Demon God!", both parties muttered, one in fear and hatred, and the other in a frantic excitement.
Yet surprisingly, the Clan Heads recovered quickly.
The three Demon Sovereigns that had besieged Mayven earlier and two of the remaining five stepped forward, and surrounded the Demon God with Mayven serving as their spearhead.
The Demon God noticed their actions, but he didn’t lose his composure.
After glancing at the Clan Heads and observing them, he shook his head lightly and spoke up:
"Why don’t we all stop here?"
"There is indeed bound to be a battle between us, but now is not the right time."
"Let the three Hall Masters go and stop targeting the Demon God’s Cemetery. Otherwise, the consequences will be grave.", he stated calmly, as if everything was under his control.
It was as if he were not the one being besieged by several beings on the same level, but rather held the absolute advantage.
The eyes of the Clan Heads surrounding him flickered. Although they didn’t know exactly what the Demon God was talking about, they had formed some guesses regarding his goals over the years.
Therefore, they hesitated to make a decision.
However, just when it seemed that the battle would fall into a null, there was one among the Demon Sovereigns who disregarded the situation.
Mayven ignored the Demon God’s words and launched an attack.
The curved blade he was holding transformed into a giant black serpent, which opened its maw wide and shot in the Demon God’s direction.
Though they cursed at him for his recklessness, Mayven’s attack made it easier for the Clan Heads to make a decision.
Since they were here, it would indeed be best to deal with this opponent! As for the so-called consequences? This was a matter for the future!
Thinking of this, the Demon Sovereigns, several of whom had previously fought against Mayven, now helped him.
Their Demon Weapons shone brightly, with some transforming into living creatures, before they fired at their common enemy.
