Chapter 423: Process Completed
Chapter 423: Process Completed
Spear of Divine Punishment, Abyssal Maw, Devour, and Null Step.
These were all abilities that Liora frequently used in her battles and had already been perfected for all intents and purposes.
As such, she didn’t alter them at all, but used them intact, integrating them into the True Devil section.
A similar thing occurred at the Greater Devil section. At this stage, Devils did not awaken any new abilities.
At most, only techniques could be passed through the bloodline, enhancing their combat power.
Liora decided to pass down the Crimson Annihilation Technique, as well as the unknown technique she obtained through the three trials, which she named the Heart Refining Art.
With the above, everything was settled. Or at least, the abilities for her "descendants" had been selected.
"Of course, the True Devil stage is only partially complete."
"Besides the abilities, a technique that can enable True Devils to gain insights regarding their bloodline should be added. Otherwise, advancing to a Greater Devil is going to be difficult."
"Unfortunately, I don’t have any."
Liora was just about to create the bloodline after all.
Where could she find such a technique?
All she could do at the moment was note this down and create a suitable technique when she had the time.
Thankfully, none of her "descendants" would reach this stage any time soon.
She had a lot of time to prepare, perhaps even decades.
With that in mind, Liora ignored that imperfection and turned to the second from last section of the pyramid.
The previous sections all represented a certain Devil stage, but this one did not.
Rather, this section was related to the concepts that her bloodline represented.
For example, the World Devourer bloodline was obviously related to concepts such as Devouring, Nothingness, and partially to things like World and Space.
Her created bloodline was also the same.
Liora didn’t have to take action.
The previous abilities, her experiences, and her personality itself had already shaped the bloodline and integrated various concepts into it.
As her eyes landed on this section, several sensations instantly assaulted her mind.
A barrage of images flashed in front of her eyes.
A constantly expanding black hole standing at the center of a universe, swallowing the planets, stars, and even galaxies around it...
A continent plagued by natural disasters. Earthquakes, storms, and other such phenomena spread everywhere, bringing destruction and chaos...
A single black point, seemingly existing after the very destruction of the world itself and gathering all of its matter...
Thousands of images emerged in Liora’s eyes, each extremely life-like.
But within those images, there were some that stood out, being many times more vivid than the others.
"Devouring, Natural Disasters, and Nothingness...", Liora muttered the concepts of these images.
This wasn’t surprising to her.
The World Devourer Bloodline had obviously affected her own experiences.
As for the concept of Natural Disaster?
Wasn’t every Devil a moving Natural Disaster?
Their entire existence was made for pure, undisguised destruction, and countless worlds of the Origin Sea had perished in their hands.
Liora was immersed in these images for a while. She felt herself have a new understanding of these various concepts.
Yet, when she awakened only a few minutes later, she discovered that she had realized nothing.
It was as if the previous scene had been an illusion, a figment of her imagination.
Shaking her head, Liora did not mull over it. She quickly suppressed the faint annoyance in her heart and returned to the matter at hand.
"The bloodline creation has finally reached its final stage.", Liora whispered as her eyes landed on top of the pyramid.
Just like the section below it, the one at the very top was not related to any abilities or stages.
Yet, the two were quite different.
Unlike the one representing the concepts, this one was empty, as if waiting for someone to complete it.
Since she had reached this point, Liora knew very well what she needed to do.
She rose to her feet and took a step forward, appearing in front of the pyramid.
Then, she stretched out her hand and placed it on the only empty section.
Her soul body trembled, as if resonating with the pyramid.
Section after section lit up, working from the bottom up.
With each new light, the pyramid grew more majestic, and its momentum became even more astonishing.
By the time the fifth section was lit, the pyramid exuded an aura far surpassing the Greater Devil stage.
Yet, this was not over just yet.
As its light landed on Liora’s body, an instinct arose from within her.
A set of words she had not used in a while naturally emerged in her mind and made it impossible for her to ignore.
For a moment, she seemed to have lost control over her body.
Her eyes grew indifferent and aloof.
She unknowingly opened her mouth, and a long string of words came out of it without her control.
"Liora Veythalis Dranthera Vexira..."
As her True Name, the one bestowed upon her by the Demon World upon her birth, was uttered, the final section was filled.
The lights coming from the rest of the sections rose up like a dragon and soon engulfed the entire crimson ladder.
Under Liora’s solemn gaze, the pyramid began to transform.
Its many sections resonated with each other and let out a piercing hum before they fully merged together.
A brilliant light flickered, plunging the soul space into its color. When the light retreated and the space returned to normal, the pyramid had vanished.
In its place, an illusory throne stood.
As soon as it appeared, a Devil Rune shot out.
It quickly flew out of her soul space and escaped the seal of the inheritance palace, spreading throughout the Origin Sea and arriving in the Demon World.
The next moment, some changes seemed to have taken place in the Demon World’s origin.
The most significant changes were in the River of Oblivion.
Or to be more accurate, at the place where Little Devils received the Blessing of the Demon World after slaughtering their kin.
Within those spaces, a new choice was given to the Little Devils that were about to be thrown into the Crucible.
An option that emanated unabashed destruction and endless devouring, seemingly being the destination of all things.
This option was threatening. Yet, at the same time, it was extremely tempting to all Little Devils.
