Chapter 670: Creating the Kingdom of God
Chapter 670: Creating the Kingdom of God
The gathered faith continuously poured into Liora’s body and was subsequently led into the Cosmic Sea.
Under the control of her consciousness and the Human Emperor Star’s authority over it, wisps of faith began to flow toward a single point and then overlap with one another.
Slowly but surely, the faith fused together, outlining a spherical object that shone beautifully.
It reflected the light like a flawless diamond, yet its shape was a perfect sphere, making it even more breathtaking.
“The core of the Kingdom of God…”, Liora muttered its identity.
Had the Divine Emperor been here to examine it, he would have realized that it very much resembled the sphere existing at the center of his own Kingdom of God.
Now, Liora had managed to create the foundation of the Kingdom of Gods in a matter of seconds.
Granted, this was hardly surprising.
Her own strength and vision were still there, as was her control over faith.
With vast amounts of it being freely available for her to use, it would have been surprising if she had failed at this stage.
Likewise, the advancement barely improved her strength, increasing it by such a tiny amount that even she failed to notice.
The improvement was akin to her taking a single breath and naturally increasing her demonic energy.
Yet Liora showed no disappointment.
She didn’t waste any time thinking about these things.
Her movements didn’t pause for even half a second.
She continued manipulating the golden faith, letting it flow toward the core of the Kingdom of God and washing over it.
The latter absorbed it like a sponge.
Then, as though using it as fuel, it began to construct imaginary lines around it.
First appeared four walls, enveloping the sphere from every direction, and then two more materialized, acting like a floor and a ceiling respectively.
With an almost inaudible click, these six dimensions merged, creating a tiny pocket of space that was barely a couple of inches long.
Liora’s Divine Path had taken another step!
Even so, she did not stop there.
More and more faith was forcefully moved into the pocket of space and then into the core.
This time, the effect of doing so was different.
Rather than creating something—the walls—the faith was used to expand the already existing space.
From the original length of a couple of inches, the sealed space rapidly expanded.
Two inches. Five inches. Ten inches.
Shortly afterward, it was several feet long yet showed no signs of stopping.
It consumed faith as though it were nothing.
One hundred feet. Five hundred feet. One mile.
Had the Divine Emperor seen what Liora was doing with his faith, he would have been driven into a frenzy.
It was indeed true that one could use faith to strengthen their Kingdom of God, and it was perhaps its most important use.
But most practitioners of the Divine Path would only do so slowly, consuming tiny bits of faith hesitantly and using their own power to do the rest of the work.
When it came to Liora, however, she didn’t seem to care about the expenditure at all!
She used faith as though it was trash!
In fact, this was indeed the case for her.
Although the pocket of space had continuously expanded, now occupying hundreds of miles from one end to another, the amount of faith she had consumed was only a tiny percentage of that stored within the core of the Kingdom of God.
It was almost impossible to detect that any of it had been consumed.
Realizing this, Liora stopped paying attention to it.
Her mind remained focused on controlling the faith, watching intently as the pocket of space got larger and larger.
She soon lost track of the time, immersed in this strange sensation.
It was only several minutes later that she woke up from her stupor.
A thunderous boom echoed directly in her mind and brought her back to reality.
The “pocket” of space she had been consciously expanding suddenly shook violently.
A golden hue appeared in the originally plain walls and started to spread to the rest of them like a golden dye that had grown out of control.
The orb at its center also transformed.
Its surface grew illusory, as though it was being erased.
Then, seemingly leaping in dimensions, it dove into a deeper, more well-concealed space.
Despite this, Liora sensed that the core’s connection with the space itself still remained.
If anything, it had only gotten stronger as a result of this movement.
The reason was simple, something that Liora knew full well.
Her Kingdom of God had successfully been built!
She had taken another step in the practice of the Divine Path power system.
Perhaps the most important step in its practitioners’ lives.
After all, the pocket of space had previously granted her no abilities at all.
Now, though, its secret functions were enabled.
“This power system is indeed extremely bizarre.”, Liora smacked her lips.
“Forming the Kingdom of God is supposedly only its first stage. Yet once a practitioner has done so, they will directly reach a level equivalent to Rank 10 Awakeners.”
Yes.
From her own situation, Liora understood that creating the Kingdom of God had given her strength equivalent to an Emperor.
This was truly surprising.
However, when one considered that this power system was given to her by the mysterious Divine Emperor, who had supposedly obtained it from an even more mysterious inheritance, it all started to make sense.
Glancing at the Kingdom of God and sensing her connection with its core and thus with it, as an extension, Liora’s face broke into a smile.
But soon, the joy faded away.
A mere Rank 10 strength was not what she was seeking.
Even Rank 11 was inconsequential to her.
Only Rank 12 combat prowess could satisfy her!
With her absorption of the accumulated essence in the fortress, both the Human Emperor clone and her real body had reached the pinnacle of Rank 11.
However, her Devil stage had yet to truly advance.
She was still an Archdevil, one standing at the very pinnacle of the stage, with one foot already in the next.
The easiest way to improve her combat power was to take the second step, fully stepping into the Ancient Devil stage.
And to do that, Liora had already formulated a plan.
With that thought, her gaze subconsciously settled on the Kingdom of God.
