Evolving My Undead Legion In A Game-Like World

Chapter 1141: Intimidation [2]

Chapter 1141: Intimidation [2]

The various Awakener Academies alone possessed terrifying foundations. Every major academy had at least one peak Rank Four expert overseeing it, and the strongest academies possessed Demigods.

Some even had multiple, like Verdant's Edge Academy, the institution Michael attended.

Within the Federation itself, setting aside the Chairman who stood above everyone else, among the remaining twelve Pillars only four had truly crossed the boundary into the Demigod Realm.

The other eight were all peak Rank Four experts who stood only a single step away from that threshold.

Of course, this did not mean the Federation possessed only five Demigods. Far from it.

The Federation's military, hidden departments, and countless affiliated organizations still contained numerous Demigods who did not occupy seats among the Thirteen Pillars.

Likewise, the academies, the great clans, and independent factions all possessed terrifying experts of their own.

Thanks to these forces, no single power could truly claim absolute authority over the entire realm. Instead, the Federation acted as Aurora's representative to the outside world, but never its sole ruler.

The bronze-skinned undead gave the four visitors a slight nod.

"My master is waiting."

Without asking whether they wished to enter, he simply turned around and walked deeper into the apartment. The four visitors exchanged brief glances before following behind him.

The apartment itself appeared surprisingly ordinary. The furnishings were simple. Everything was clean and neatly arranged.

Nothing about it reflected the status of the man who had become the center of the universe's attention.

Yet the moment they stepped into the living room, all four instinctively stopped.

Their hearts sank.

Though the Michael they were looking for was currently nowhere to be seen, the room was far from empty.

In one corner stood a towering muscular man who appeared to be in his mid-twenties.

His body seemed sculpted from steel, every muscle perfectly defined beneath a simple dark shirt. His complexion carried a faint grayish tint that was almost imperceptible unless one looked carefully.

Beside him stood a woman who possessed similar facial features, suggesting they shared some connection. Although noticeably shorter than the giant beside her, she still stood far above the height of an ordinary human.

Her physique was athletic and powerful. Compared to normal people, she was still a giant.

Neither spoke. They merely observed the newcomers with calm, almost cold emerald-green eyes.

In another corner, two more figures occupied a sofa. One was another enormous man, just as massive as the undead who had led them into the apartment, with a body built like a fortress.

Every inch of his physique radiated overwhelming physical strength, his broad shoulders and thick muscles making him appear capable of crushing steel with his bare hands.

Sitting beside him was another man.

Unlike the giant, he possessed a far more refined appearance. He looked completely human. He was tall, exceptionally handsome, with long black hair neatly resting behind his shoulders.

A pair of elegant glasses sat upon his face, and a thick book rested calmly in his hands as though the arrival of four visitors had done nothing to interrupt his reading. Without raising his head, he calmly turned another page.

The room remained silent.

Yet the expressions of the four visitors had subtly changed.

Green eyes. Every single one possessed emerald-green eyes. Which meant every single one was almost certainly one of Michael Norman's undead.

But that wasn't what caused their hearts to sink. It was the pressure. Though subtle and almost imperceptible, it was unmistakable at the level of Rank Four. All four radiated the aura of Rank Four existences.

Cold sweat slowly formed on Brian's forehead. Instructor Yara's breathing unconsciously became slower as she instinctively regulated her own aura to withstand the oppressive atmosphere.

All four were deep in thought at the sight laid before them.

Including the undead who had opened the door, that made five Rank Four presences in total. And one had to remember that Michael had only entered the supernatural world slightly over a year ago.

Looking at the silent figures occupying the room, an unsettling realization surfaced in everyone's mind.

Exactly how many Rank Four undead did Michael Norman actually possess?

Just as the four remained lost in their thoughts, the sound of approaching footsteps echoed from deeper within the apartment.

Tap. Tap. Tap.

A moment later, a familiar young man entered the living room.

It was Michael.

Like most of his undead, he wore simple casual clothes. In one hand, he carried a tray. Resting upon it were four cups and several chilled drinks.

Seeing everyone already gathered, Michael smiled apologetically.

"Sorry for the delay. My guests arrived sooner than I expected."

He walked over to the center table before carefully placing the tray down. Only then did he look toward the four visitors.

"Welcome."

His tone was calm. Neither overly enthusiastic nor distant. Simply polite.

After placing the cups onto the table, Michael turned his head toward two of the undead seated nearby.

"Spartan. Ghost."

"You're occupying the seats meant for our guests."

The handsome man with the glasses quietly closed the book in his hand. Without the slightest complaint, he rose to his feet. Beside him, the enormous muscular undead also stood up in silence. The two calmly stepped aside.

Michael then looked back toward the visitors.

"Please. Have a seat."

Only then did the four slowly move. Director Lin and Instructor Yara chose the now vacated sofa, while General Caelum and Teacher Brian sat opposite them.

The room soon settled into silence once again.

Michael himself remained standing beside the center table. His calm gaze slowly swept across each of the four visitors before finally coming to rest on General Caelum.

For a brief moment, no one spoke.

The atmosphere was strangely quiet. Teacher Brian unconsciously adjusted his sitting posture. Instructor Yara quietly folded her hands on her lap.

Even Director Lin, who usually maintained her carefree smile regardless of the situation, found herself becoming noticeably more composed.

As for General Caelum, he looked at the young man standing before him while doing his best to settle the emotions stirring beneath the surface.
