Evolving My Undead Legion In A Game-Like World

Chapter 470 New Changes

Chapter 470: Chapter 470 New Changes

[Ordinary rules can’t bind you.]

Michael stared at the floating words.

"...That’s it?" he muttered.

He leaned forward, narrowing his eyes at the system prompt like it had just insulted his intelligence.

"It’s not that I can’t read," he said aloud, "but if I actually understood what I was reading, would I be asking for help?"

Unfortunately—or maybe fortunately—the Origin Will didn’t respond.

Michael groaned and rubbed his temples.

He glanced at the panel again and gave a long, suffering sigh.

"...I need a manual."

The aftermath of his advancement brought both happiness and concern.

Shaking away the distracting thoughts, Michael refocused on his undead.

Just like him, all of them had undergone a surge in strength.

Unfortunately, due to his current location, he couldn’t examine their appearances in detail—only their updated statuses.

Aside from gaining new skills and several of their old ones advancing in mastery, Prince, Beginning, Gale, and Lily hadn’t undergone a race change.

One was still a Venomthorn Ravager, another a Galestrike Griffin, and two remained classified as Titan.

The main difference was that their star rating had increased—from one star to three stars within the Extraordinary rank—and all four had reached Rank 3 Undead, Level 50 and above.

Perhaps due to their previous mutations, Beginning and Lily had higher levels than Gale and Prince.

Prince was now Level 53,Gale was Level 51,Lily sat at Level 54,And Beginning had reached Level 55.

As for which of them would ultimately prove stronger in combat, Michael didn’t know.

What he did know was that to find out, he’d need to conduct a proper field test.

But given the current situation, he’d have to plan carefully.

While the changes in the four were significant, they still couldn’t compare to Lucky.

Lucky was... a surprise.

Michael had always known that influencing evolution with external materials would eventually produce a unique result.

What he hadn’t expected—was for it to happen now.

Lucky, who should’ve remained similar to Prince, had become something entirely different after his latest evolution.

[Undead Dire Wyvern – Lv. 55]

[Rank: Extraordinary★★★]

Lucky had transformed completely.

Whether he could even be considered a "wolf" anymore was debatable—the race name alone suggested otherwise.

What also caught Michael off guard was the absence of the ’Mutated’ prefix, despite the fact that Lucky had evolved using an external object: the Poison Wyvern Blood Essence.

This wasn’t a mutation.

It was a true race change.

And with that came new power.

Two new skills had been gained:

Poison Breath — just as the name implied, a toxic blast of venomous mist.Intimidation — and this one... was particularly interesting.

Michael read the skill description.

[Skill: Intimidation]

Unleash a fear-inducing presence. Targets below a certain threshold may experience panic, hesitation, or forced submission. Strength of effect scales with the difference in level, mental resistance, and willpower.

Passive suppression aura. Active mode enhances effect dramatically for a short duration.

Michael’s lips pressed into a thin line.

This wasn’t simply a fear effect.

This was a tiered deterrent that had no mastery level attached.

That fact alone said enough.

No progression meant it didn’t need refinement—it was already complete.

"It doesn’t even need to grow stronger," Michael muttered, staring at the panel.

And then there was another skill that caught Michael’s attention.

Like Intimidation, it had no mastery level.

What stood out even more was the fact that all five of his undead had gained it.

That detail alone made Michael pause.

It wasn’t coincidence.

If every one of them had unlocked the same ability after advancing to Rank 3... then it had to be something tied directly to that breakthrough.

The name of the skill was Transformation.

Its description was brief—but enough to make Michael’s brows lift.

[Skill: Transformation]

Allows the user to assume an alternate form.

Michael narrowed his eyes at the panel.

"...Alternate form?"

The description wasn’t exactly illuminating. No details on what that form would be. No mention of strength gain, duration, or cooldowns.

It just existed.

A skill without mastery. Gained by all five undead.

He leaned back in his chair, fingers tapping against the armrest.

"Alternate form, huh...?"

His gaze drifted upward, mind already spinning with possibilities.

What kind of alternate form?

Were they going to sprout wings? Grow larger? Smaller? Were they going to become human?𝓯𝙧𝓮𝓮𝒘𝓮𝙗𝙣𝒐𝒗𝒆𝓵.𝓬𝓸𝒎

He paused at that last thought.

"...No way."

But even as he said it aloud, he couldn’t help the image that flashed through his mind—Lucky, standing upright, tail coiled behind.

Michael gave a quiet, dry laugh and rubbed the bridge of his nose.

"Yeah, I’m probably overthinking it."

Still, he couldn’t shake the feeling.

And considering all five of his strongest undead now had it?

Michael’s mouth twitched.

"...Maybe I’m overthinking it."

Michael shook his head, pushing aside the wild guesses. There were too many unknowns, and speculation wouldn’t get him answers.

Only experimentation would.

But for now, he focused on what he could examine.

And that was when his eyes flicked over to one last thing.

His own Class Skill.

Michael tapped open the window.

> [Spirit Eyes – Basic Mastery]

Grants the ability to perceive essence through the eyes.

Michael didn’t hesitate.

He activated it.

A cool sensation washed over his pupils.

And just like that, the world changed.

The room remained the same, yet everything looked different.

Michael’s eyes widened.

He could see mana.

Not just feel it—not just sense it the way he always had

Now?

He saw its flow.

He lifted his right hand slowly and stared at it.

His skin shimmered with a faint, translucent overlay, all pulsing with a darkish green hue.

That was his mana.

It pulsed with power.

As if it had its own will.

He tilted his hand, watching the lines swirl with each movement. His mana responded immediately—like a second bloodstream.

He looked past his hand and toward the window.

Outside, the night sky was still dark —but now he saw the world in color beyond color. Trees glowed faintly.

Even the moonlight reflecting off the glass didn’t seem like ordinary light anymore. It carried a spectral tint.
