Evolving My Undead Legion In A Game-Like World

Chapter 541: Five Undead

Chapter 541: Five Undead

Then Michael willed it.

Enter.

In an instant, his figure vanished—like smoke folding into smoke.

The palm-sized coffin slipped from the air and landed softly on the wooden floor of the study with a muffled thunk.

Inside...

Michael opened his eyes to an entirely different world.

He was standing in the coffin’s realm.

Just as before, the sky above him was layered in unmoving grey clouds. There was no sun, yet everything was bathed in a cold, even light—like the memory of dawn without the warmth. The air was still, thick, and silent.

Michael inhaled.

Air.

It was real. It smelled faintly of ash, with the barest tinge of ozone.

He looked around.

An acre of cracked, dark soil spread out in all directions.

A coffin... that’s also a world. Worthy of an epic grade item.

Michael crouched and brushed his fingers over the soil.

It crumbled like packed ash but felt cold and dense.

There was no wind. No distant horizon. The edge of the space faded into gloom, and even as he extended his senses, he couldn’t touch a boundary.

Then he turned slowly in place, absorbing everything.

This... this wasn’t just a storage item.

This was a domain.

And for now... it was his alone.

Michael inspected himself and subconsciously thought that since he was unaffected, his undead would be too.

Then he paused as an idea came to him.

Without hesitation, Michael spread out his arms and five huge magic circles appeared on the ground.

A significant amount of mana was consumed and from the circles came five huge creatures.

Lucky. Prince. Gale. Beginning. And Lily.

Michael for the first time since their evolution, summoned his five rank 3 undead.

The moment they appeared, Michael felt the air shift.

The sheer presence of his five creatures warped the space around them. They were massive. Not just tall, but wide, dense, and powerful in a way that made the surrounding soil tremble slightly beneath their weight.

Lucky was the first he noticed.

The wolf now stood like a living nightmare: nine meters tall and covered in sleek black fur with jagged grey stripes running down his sides.

His frame had thickened, his bones elongated, and his back now supported leathery, dragon-like wings folded neatly.

But what caught Michael’s attention most wasn’t the body—it was the eyes.

Green pupils.

Sharp, intelligent, and filled with a primal will.

Not the dull grey of undeath.

It wasn’t just Lucky.

Prince, his loyal second, had transformed into a majestic creature. Seven meters tall, with deep green and grey fur layered like scaled armor. The thick mane that crowned his head shimmered faintly with mana, and like Lucky, his once-lifeless eyes now held green pupils that gleamed faintly in the coffin world’s light.

Michael turned.

Gale.

The griffin.

A fusion of eagle and lion, Gale towered lower than the others at five meters in height. His feathers were obsidian edged with silver, and his lion half radiated tension like coiled muscle. Green eyes met Michael’s for a moment, and the creature bowed slightly.

Michael’s lips twitched.

Then came the Goliaths.

Beginning and Lily.

They were not monsters in the traditional sense. They looked human. But only in shape. Eight meters tall, male and female, bare-chested, with skin like polished stone and glowing veins of faint green energy running across their bodies like living tattoos. They radiated presence. Not just mass—but dominance. Their eyes too were alive.

Michael took a step back, slowly absorbing the sight.

All five creatures stared down at him.

None of them moved without his permission.

Even with that much power, they still waited for his word.

They were still his.

Michael’s heart beat faster in excitement.

A slow grin stretched across his face.

"Good," he said softly. "You’ve all grown beautifully."

Prince lowered his head slightly.

Lucky’s tail flicked once, stirring dust.

Michael stepped closer, weaving between them like a general among commanders.

Michael’s gaze lingered on the Goliaths—Beginning and Lily.

Even standing still, their very presence radiated oppressive strength. Each stood at a towering eight meters tall, yet this was just their default.

Curiosity gawked at Michael.

"Let’s start slow," Michael muttered.

He turned toward Beginning.

The male Goliath stood tall, arms folded across a chest like a fortress wall.

Michael lifted a hand. "Beginning. Grow for me.."

There was no verbal response.

But Beginning heard.

Rumble.

The ground beneath Beginning’s feet cracked slightly as his form surged upward. Slowly, but steadily, he rose. Eight meters. Nine. Ten. Eleven.

The change wasn’t grotesque or exaggerated. His proportions remained the same—arms still symmetrical, chest still broad, spine still straight—but his size was increasing without effort. His skin even seemed to harden with every passing moment, taking on a faint shimmer like tempered steel.

Michael’s eyes stayed locked on Beginning as the towering figure continued to rise.

Twelve meters.

Then thirteen.

The dense, black soil beneath his feet gave a quiet crack, barely audible, but Michael heard it all the same.

Beginning body swelled with smooth inevitability.

Fourteen. Fifteen.

Sixteen. Seventeen.

The soil around Beginning’s massive feet fractured further, subtle spiderwebs of cracks splintering outward.

Eighteen meters.

Each additional meter now came slower than the last.

Nineteen.

Michael’s lips twitched.

Twenty.

And then... it stopped.

The Goliath stood tall.

Monolithic.

Michael took a deep breath and let it out slowly.

"...You can stop there."

Beginning knelt on one knee, a motion that shook the earth slightly, and dropped his height by half in a blink—but even kneeling, he was bigger than every creature.

Michael approached.

He stared up, craning his neck, and marveled at the scale.

Even in a world where monsters could consume buildings and Awakeners leveled battlefields, this—this was something else.

"You were named Beginning," he said quietly, "but you might be the end of many."

A faint grin touched his lips.

He turned slightly toward Lily, who watched in silence from the side, her glowing eyes steady.
