Evolving My Undead Legion In A Game-Like World

Chapter 884: The Universe Blessing [1]

Chapter 884: The Universe Blessing [1]

Four Rank Four powerhouses began speaking among themselves as if Michael was not even present.

Somehow they had conveniently excluded Arven in the mix as well. It seemed even allies wanted nothing to do with this fellow, even if he currently looked sane.

One of them folded his arms while studying Michael carefully.

"Truly, seeing is believing."

His eyes moved up and down Michael’s figure as if trying to understand something impossible.

"It seems the rumors were not exaggerated after all."

Another elder gave a faint chuckle.

"So this is the boy."

Her tone carried mild curiosity.

"I have heard quite a few things about him recently, but this is my first time seeing him in person."

A third individual slowly nodded.

"Yes. The academy has been unusually protective of him."

His gaze lingered on Michael for a moment.

"Now I see why."

Michael stood there, completely baffled.

The conversation continued as though he were merely an object of study.

Another of the Rank Four powerhouses crossed his hands behind his back and spoke calmly.

"You should not be too excited yet."

His eyes briefly moved toward the dark storm gathering above them.

"If the youth survives this ordeal, then perhaps we can celebrate. Only then will it prove that the academy truly scored big this time. And that the conflict with the Federation was worth it."

The group continued speaking casually.

"Still," one of them said thoughtfully, "to think it would happen this early."

Michael finally lost his patience.

At this point he could no longer care about showing proper respect.

Five Rank Four powerhouses or not, the situation involved him.

He took a step forward.

"Excuse me!"

The sudden interruption made the group fall silent.

Five pairs of eyes turned toward him.

Michael looked at them one by one before finally settling on Director Arven. Never did he expect a day would come where Director Arven looked like the most reliable person nearby. Though unsettled by his subdued demeanour, Michael still pressed his question.

"Can someone please explain what is happening?"

He pointed upward toward the terrifying storm.

The clouds above had grown even darker.

Lightning flashed violently through the sky.

The entire atmosphere felt unstable.

Michael’s voice became sharper.

"What exactly is that?"

The forest trembled slightly as thunder rumbled through the heavens.

Michael clenched his fists.

"And why does it feel like it’s coming for me?"

The closer one drew to the universe, the more their senses evolved past normal perception. At some point it went beyond detecting things and became something closer to feeling danger before it arrived, and for some, even glimpsing fragments of the future. Michael was far from that level, but he was still sensitive enough to threats that the pressure descending from those clouds made him deeply uneasy.

Only Rank Four beings could threaten his life directly. Whatever was gathering above him he wanted no business with.

One of the elders finally stepped forward.

It was the only woman among the five.

"Tell me something, boy."

Her voice was clear and steady.

"Do you know the stages required to ascend to Rank Three and beyond?"

Michael blinked at the sudden question but nodded.

"Yes."

The woman gestured lightly.

"Then explain it."

Michael answered without hesitation.

"To ascend to Rank Three, one must comprehend a law and condense that understanding into a Law Seed within the soul."

"To ascend to Rank Four, the Law Seed evolves into a Law Domain, allowing the cultivator to project their law outward and influence the world."

"And to ascend to Rank Five, the Law Domain transforms into a Law World, where the cultivator possesses a vast world within themselves."

The female elder nodded.

"Correct."

Then she asked, "But do you know the similarity between all these ascensions?"

Michael frowned slightly and shook his head.

"No."

The elder pointed toward the dark storm forming in the sky.

"The similarity," she said calmly, "is that the universe must acknowledge you."

Lightning flashed across the clouds.

"When one ascends to Rank Three, the universe acknowledges the birth of a Law. When one ascends to Rank Four, it acknowledges the expansion of a Domain. And when one ascends to Rank Five, it acknowledges the birth of a World."

Michael slowly looked back toward the storm, his heartbeat quickening.

The elder spoke again.

"Do you know what comes with the universe’s acknowledgement?"

Michael knew the answer immediately.

"The universe’s blessing."

"Yes. What is above you is the universe’s blessing, but it should not be appearing at your stage. What you are seeing only manifests when someone begins ascending to Rank Four, where the universe does not merely acknowledge you but blesses you at the same time."

The female elder continued while observing the storm above.

"What will soon happen," she said calmly, "is that several rounds of lightning will descend from those clouds. As long as you survive them, you will reap the benefits."

Michael’s expression stiffened.

"The lightning will temper your body, your soul, and your law seed."

She paused.

Then she muttered quietly to herself.

"But I still do not understand."

Her brows furrowed as she studied the storm.

"This level of lightning typically appears when preparing a divine vessel for Rank Five, beginning from Rank Four. So why would it appear for a mortal now? Your body has not reached the peak of a normal cultivator. And if you survive, will you emerge with a fully realised law seed or a domain?"

The moment those words left her mouth, Michael’s eyes widened slightly.

A realization surfaced.

A title.

He remembered a title he had obtained not long ago.

Mortal God.

For a brief moment Michael could only stare at the dark storm above while a quiet thought formed in his mind.

Don’t tell me this is because of that title.

[Title: Mortal God]

Summary: Against the natural order, a mortal body not yet divine has taken the shape and resilience of a god’s vessel. This title recognizes your defiance of limits.

Of course it is!!!!!
