Fairy Tail Collapsing Stars Chapter 285

Fairy Tail Collapsing Stars Chapter 285

It has been a week since Evan returned from the world of Elentear…

After Evan and the others returned from Elentear, Mystogan hurried back to Edolas. He said he wanted to share the good news with everyone in Edolas.

As for August, he also returned to the Alvarez Empire on the western continent with a satisfied look. This time, August felt he had gained a lot—he had learned more about dragons than in his entire life. To him, it was extremely interesting to learn about the apex of the dragon hierarchy.

Meanwhile, during this week, Evan stayed home working on his resistance. After adding the World Resistance to himself, he tried to fuse all his current resistances together. Finally, Evan achieved a new resistance called Total Resistance: LV11(+).

Once again, this proves that the stronger the ability, the fewer words are needed on the attribute panel. Evan was convinced that simplifying his skills would allow him to continue improving.

After upgrading his resistance, Evan headed to the guild to see if there were any tasks he could complete to accumulate task medals and prepare to negotiate with King Toma of Fiore about the Dragon Tears.

“Wham!”

Without hesitation, Evan pushed open the large guild doors with “FAIRY TAIL” emblazoned on them.

“Natsu, stop lying to us and tell us what dragons are like!”

“Yeah, Natsu! Tell us!”

As soon as Evan entered the guild, he saw Erza, Gray, and the others interrogating Natsu.

No, not interrogating—they had tied Natsu to a table with ropes, forcing him to describe what dragons were like.

“I don’t remember! I only remember seeing a lot of clouds in the sky, then I passed out. When I woke up, Evan told me the task was over… I didn’t see anything!”

Natsu was on the verge of tears. The only memories Evan had left him from this so-called dragon-related mission were all about motion sickness—nothing but fainting, fainting, and more fainting. Even recalling it made him feel nauseous.

“It looks like Igneel didn’t want Natsu to know too much too soon, fearing it would hinder his growth, so he erased all memories related to Selene,” Evan thought, watching Natsu struggle to remember. If Igneel hadn’t intervened, Natsu should have recalled something, even if he had been fainting most of the time.

“Natsu, stop lying…”

Gray, holding an ice stick, was torturing Natsu for answers.

“I’m not lying! I really don’t remember… Look, Evan is here! Ask him! I’m not lying…”

Under the pressure from Gray, Lyon, Erza, and even Laxus, Natsu, trembling, finally saw hope. That hope was Evan, the leader of this mission.

“Evan! Was the mission tough? Did you encounter any danger?”

Erza immediately ran to Evan when she saw him. Because Evan had gone into seclusion as soon as he returned, this was the first time she had seen him.

“Don’t worry, you know my strength…”

Evan smiled gently at Erza, patting her head. He couldn’t possibly tell her that while he hadn’t been in mortal danger, he had nearly been forced by a beautiful dragon to father her children.

“Actually, due to some unexpected circumstances, Natsu fainted as soon as we arrived at the mission site. He didn’t experience anything, so he didn’t see any dragons or anything else.”

Evan reassured Erza and then explained to the rest of the guild members who were eagerly awaiting details.

“Wow, Natsu, you’re so lame…”

“Yeah, he’s so weak…”

“Natsu wasted this opportunity. It should have been given to Laxus…”

As Evan vouched for Natsu, everyone, including Gray, Lyon, and the Thunder God Tribe, expressed their disdain towards Natsu.

“I didn’t want this to happen! But there were so many vehicles…”

Natsu was on the verge of tears again, feeling helpless about his motion sickness.

“Haha, Natsu, defeated by vehicles! So lame!”

“Laxus isn’t afraid of vehicles, right, Laxus?”

Big Slow laughed at Natsu, then turned to Laxus for confirmation.

“Uh, yes… I’m not afraid of vehicles…”

“It’s strange that anyone would be afraid of vehicles.”

Laxus replied awkwardly.

“See! Laxus isn’t afraid of vehicles!”

Big Slow declared proudly, thinking he had proven his point.

“Which eye of yours saw that Laxus isn’t afraid? His legs started shaking as soon as vehicles were mentioned!”

Evan couldn’t help but comment on the situation. Thanks to Big Slow’s drawing everyone’s attention, it was now obvious that Laxus also feared vehicles.

Kanna, holding a wine glass, noticed Laxus’s awkward smile and realized something. “Doesn’t Laxus have the same motion sickness as Natsu?”

Evan glanced at Kanna and knew she had figured out Laxus’s secret.

Sighing silently for Laxus, Evan headed towards the bar to greet Makarov. It was an unspoken rule in Fairy Tail—when a wizard returned from a mission, they had to let the master know they were back and safe.

“What’s going on at the bar? It seems lively.”

Evan noticed the commotion at the bar, but he didn’t think much of it. Fairy Tail was always noisy, just more so today.

As Evan passed through the central area of the guild, he heard a familiar breathing sound.

“What?!”

Evan’s eyes widened as he turned to see a black-haired kid lying in the middle of the guild’s fighting ring, murmuring contentedly in his sleep.

“Kurnugi?! Why are you here? You should be in Elentear with Selene!”

Evan’s shock grew as he recognized the boy as Kurnugi, the “Wicked Holy Dragon” and “Underworld Dragon,” who was supposed to be with Selene.

“Hehe, why am I here? That’s for you to find out, Master.”

Kurnugi opened his eyes and jumped up, giving Evan a mysterious smile.

“No way…”

A sense of dread filled Evan as he remembered the noisy bar. His intuition screamed trouble.

“This is bad…”

Evan muttered, his lips trembling. Without further ado, he headed for the bar to confirm his suspicions.

“Evan.”

A white-haired figure blocked his path.

“You are…”

Evan was surprised to see Mira Jane Strauss standing before him. She had replaced her previous delinquent look with a long dress, her bangs neatly styled.

Mira Jane had changed, looking more like the sweet and innocent girl Evan remembered, though traces of her old self remained in her eyes.

“After you reminded me last time, I reflected on myself. I thought I should be gentler in the guild, so I tried a new look. How do you think I look, Evan?”

Mira Jane asked shyly, her beautiful face slightly flushed.

No man could resist her charm, but Evan’s mind was elsewhere. He was worried about something critical, something that could impact Fairy Tail, Magnolia, and even the Kingdom of Fiore.

“Mira Jane, this look suits you. I have something to do; we’ll talk later.”

Evan praised her with a quick pat on the shoulder before heading to the bar.

“So perfunctory…”

Mira Jane frowned slightly, watching Evan rush off.

Evan didn’t have time to worry about Mira Jane’s feelings. He needed to confirm a vital fact.

“Excuse me, everyone…”

Evan pushed through the crowd at the bar, making his way forward.

When he saw the platinum blonde figure sitting there, he froze.

“Miss, would you like another drink? I’ll mix it for you.”

Gildarts was behind the bar, dressed as a bartender, smiling at the platinum-blonde woman.

“Anything will do.”

The woman smiled back at Gildarts and then turned to Evan.

“Oh my, isn’t this Evan? Long time no see…”

The woman with platinum blonde hair, dressed in a modified kimono and wearing a shrine maiden hat, smiled brightly at Evan.

“Selene…”

Evan’s lips dried as he uttered her name.

Yes, the woman in front of him, attracting all the attention in the guild, was none other than the Moon Dragon, Selene.

She was sitting there, chatting with the wizards of Fairy Tail, and what bothered Evan most was the guild mark on her thigh.

“Oh my, you noticed?”

“Yes, starting today, I, you, and that annoying woman are all guildmates in Fairy Tail.”

“Let’s get along as guildmates from now on.”

Selene’s white fingers brushed over the Fairy Tail guild mark on her thigh as she gave Evan a fox-like smile.

“…”

Evan stared at the mark, speechless.

“The worst has happened!”

After a long silence, Evan’s face turned ashen. He could already foresee the guild’s future.

All Evan could think of saying to Makarov was: “Pray, old man. Pray that this country won’t be destroyed. You let Selene join the guild, Master!”
