Chapter 506: Gossip?!

"So Flame Rose Guild really received a Unique Quest? That's amazing! So that's the reason why the company had called for a sudden emergency general meeting for all executives"

When Jenny listened to what Michael had told them, it made her realize something that happened an hour earlier which left her puzzled and confused.

"Yeah, your father never told you about it?" Michael asked, a little doubtful about why the daughter of one of the people behind one of the biggest companies in the country wasn't informed about such crucial information.

Jenny just shrugged her shoulders and replied, "No, that's the result of not wanting to be deeply involved in the family business. Though I do get a lot of freedom from doing anything I want without getting told or forced to, so that's still a win for me"

Her words made Michael think about something, 'Huh, now that I think about it. She's not even an executive member of the War Angels Guild. I guess being the daughter is already useful enough'

"You're not thinking about something bad about me, right?" Jenny said, raising an eyebrow when she caught him staring at him, and the look he gave made her feel weirdly offended.

Keeping a straight face, Michael replied, "No, I'm not"

"Anyway, what is the current plan of your guild?" Jenny casually changed the topic, not really caring much if he's having ill thoughts about her or none at all.

Michael slightly turned his head to the side to look at Amanda who was sitting beside him, but saw that her eyes were glued to the television and wasn't really paying attention to their conversation.

"Everyone is currently busy with their own things, so I doubt the guild would be able to help the Flame Rose Guild" Michael gave the same answer that he gave Dylan earlier today.

"Well, that's one less competition for us then" Jenny casually said, but deep inside, she was extremely relieved.

'Now father doesn't need to worry about The Revenant Guild' she thought inside and felt a little guilty probing him for information since this is her bestfriend's guild.

'He could have just ask them personally instead of doing something like this and making me do the dirty work'

"Aside from that, do you have any new items for the Mage Class?" Jenny asked with little expectation since Amanda also didn't have anything new on her when she asked her about it.

Michael thought for a moment before answering, "Hmm…I got an Epic Grade Mage Robe when I looted a treasure chest earlier today, but it's for Wind Class Mages"

Jenny's eyes quickly lit up in excitement when she heard him, "Really?! That's okay, I'll buy it! How much are you selling it for?!"

"But you're an Earth Class Mage, what would you use it for? Do you have a Sugar Baby or something?" By the end of his words, Michael chuckled when he realized how ridiculous that must have sounded.

"She just recently received a new class, the Dual Elemental Mage" Jenny was about to say something when Amanda, who had been silent until now suddenly butted into the conversation.

"Ohhh I see, that's a rare class, isn't it?" Michael said, not really surprised in the slightest since there were already players who also obtained the same Mage Class, though the one they received would vary depending on their choice.

"Yeah, but I aspire to get a Hidden Class like you two. So if you find any, make sure to sell it to me first, okay?!"

"Sure, why not"

"Alright"

Jenny was smiling from ear to ear and suddenly stretched a hand towards Michael.

Michael stopped mid way from drinking his coffee and looked at her hand then at her, "What are you doing?"

"It's a pinky promise, you don't know about it?"

Michael said, "I know what a pinky promise is, but why are we doing that? What are you, kid?"

Jenny snorted, and with a tone of anger, she said, "Just do it, it'll at least make you feel guilty if you don't remember what you promised me"

Michael just chuckled and did what he was asked, and Amanda wasn't spared and also participated in it.

"Anyway, have you two heard the latest gossip lately?" After getting the couple to participate in her little scheme, she quickly redirected the conversation that made her face light up with excitement as she can't seem to wait to share the good news.

"Gossip about what?" Amanda asked before taking a spoonful of cake into her mouth.

Michael didn't say anything and just looked at her, waiting.

"The Kunlun's Guild Leader is actually trying to pursue Tierra, the War Dragons Guild Leader! Like what?!" Jenny finally spilled it out, and the expression on her face says it all, she wants to gossip about it and like what all girls do while gossiping, talk about possible conclusions that can be made on this event!

"And why would he do that? Aren't they from two opposite factions? Let's not even mention that the two guilds probably have the deepest grudge against each other compared to the others" Amanda's attention was quickly caught by the gossip and quickly had something to say about it.

"I'm really not sure about what's happening behind the scenes since Tierra's brother, Layfun casually mentioned it to me when we were talking on the phone yesterday" Jenny replied.

"So this hasn't been made public yet? If the public hears of this, they'd label this event as the modern day Romeo and Juliet" Amanda chuckled, while feeling a little excited inside.

"Right?! Layfun told me that Orkhon suddenly came over to their house unannounced while holding a large bouquet of flowers and a box of chocolate. Of course, the twins didn't entertain him since the first thing that came into their minds is that he's up to no good, something probably sinister" Jenny said.

Amanda was already absorbed into the story and asked, "Sinister like what?"

"The downfall of the War Dragons with a change of ownership" Jenny said in all seriousness.

Amanda also became serious and added, "But that's only possible if Tierra falls for his charms"

"I know, that's why they got him kicked out and the dude certainly left fuming and humiliated"
