Chapter 537: Noble Titles
Chapter 537: Noble Titles
"You're a Count"
"What do you mean?"
Back inside his cabin, Solitary Tempest and Shadow are currently snuggled together before the fireplace.
"You're someone who has inherited this Ancient Kingdom. Shouldn't you have the authority to bestow a noble status below your rank? Other similar games like this in the past had that" she advised while surfing through the recent news and happenings in the web.
"Right~ I think I remember seeing something like that" Shadow didn't have anything to comment on her words and just played along since he had never played any other VR Games except for this one.
[Snow Village]
A former city belonging to the late, Empreal Kingdom.
In the past, the land was once a prospering city. Now, the only remaining validation that the city had once existed is a small village that inherited its name.
Though recently, it's starting to show signs of development after a New Lord had taken over.

Nobles: +
Knights: +
Shadow realized that he had never thoroughly checked his [Lord] status and when he scrolled down towards the end, he finally saw something that made his eyes lit up in anticipation!
Nobles: 0/2
(With the Lord's current influence, the Lord can only appoint Baronets)
Knights: 0/5
(With the Lord's current influence, the Lord can only appoint a limited amount of Knights)
'Well, that's actually a little disappointing' Shadow thought when he saw the numbers since he had the expectation of being able to appoint 50 Knights at least with his current title.
Seeing the change in his expression, Solitary Tempest immediately asked, "What is it? Is there no option on it?"
Shadow turned to face her and said after a short pause, "Yeah, it exists, but currently, I only have limited slots. Though I'm Count, I think since I currently lack the sufficient influence befitting of my rank and only having a small village for a territory. My authority on this land is still limited within the boundaries of this village"
Nodding in understanding, Solitary Tempest asked, "So what noble titles can you bestow right now?"
"Right now, I only have Two Baronets and Five Knights" Shadow replied as he closed the "System Window" with a swipe of his hand.
Solitary Tempest nodded with a thoughtful look on her face, "I think that's already sufficient. We can send an announcement to players and invite them to make a journey through Neverwinter, with the enticement of a possible bestowal of Nobility Title.
I'm sure people would flock here and brave the dangers just for that since becoming a Noble would result in a huge advantage over a vast number of players in the game, it would be a huge leap. I've also been hearing some news that those people in that Nine Guilds had now set their sights in the smaller kingdoms and were busily working on trying to receive either a Baron or an Earl title."
"Wait, instead of doing that, isn't it better to give it to our closest allies, the War Angel and Flame Rose Guild?"
"Good idea! Goodness, I almost made a grave mistake, that was close!"
Shadow was about to agree, but then he felt like he was forgetting something and only a moment later did he remember it and quickly brought it up. Solitary Tempest also felt enlightened and relieved that she almost had wronged her friend!
"I'm gonna leave first! I'll have to talk about this to Jen immediately!"
Solitary Tempest gave Shadow a kiss on his cheek before she turned into motes of light and disappeared.
"Well, it seems like I have nothing to do for the time being. Might as well leave and drop by at Dylan's place" with a shrugged of his shoulders, Shadow also decided to make an exit from the game.
Shua!
The gaming cabin opened up and Michael slowly climbed out from it.
Michael walked over to his bed and picked up his phone from it and dialed a number after taking a quick look at the time.
4:37 PM.
Dudududud~
The call rang for a few seconds before someone finally answered it.
"Hey Mike, what's up?" Dylan's voice rang from the other side.
"Wait, give me moment"
Michael quickly connected the call into a mini bluetooth headset, which kind of looked backward for a nation that had already developed virtual gaming cabins.
"Okay, do you have time for tonight?"
"Why? You want to hang out?"
Even though Dylan hasn't even confirmed if he is free tonight, Michael had already made his way inside his dressing room and started looking for clothes for later while talking to his best friend.
"Yes and no, I have something important to discuss with you, and if you can, you can also bring Allison with you" he answered while taking a plain white long sleeve shirt, a pair of beige pants, a pair of white shoes and a dark brown leather belt.
He got them all ready for tonight and placed neatly on his bed.
"..."
There was a moment of short silence before Dylan answered, "No problem, you're just in time since Allison is going to have dinner with us. You can just come over then and we can talk about this is about after dinner"
"Okay, what time will it be?" Michael asked as he headed downstairs.
"Just be here at 6:30, man. Alright, I gotta go now. I still need to help my mom prepare for tonight"
"Sure, I'll see you there"
["I'm going to have dinner with Dylan and his family tonight. Any news on your side babe?"]
Making his way to his kitchen, Michael sent a text message to Amanda, but didn't bother to wait for a reply and continued on his way to the kitchen.
"That hits the spot~!"
After downing a glass of water, Michael went inside a small room below his staircase.
Inside, the room was full of clothes and shoes, mostly for physical activities.
"Since I have nothing to do for the time being, let's go for a run and maybe stop by Jen's place to check on the two of them" Michael mumbled while changing his clothes.
