Chapter 552: Relinquishing His Title?

Chapter 552: Relinquishing His Title?

The following day.

The Horde and the Kingdom Alliance finally started their long journey towards Orvon Kingdom.

The army was seen marching in a huge single file with the soldiers from Kingdom Alliance, who took the lead of this procession with the Horde closely following behind them, and at their planks, several small squad of soldiers and monster squads could be seen roving about, keeping anyone who strayed from the army in check, especially towards the Monster Horde as several of them had already tried to break away from the group because they were distracted by something.

While most of the airborne forces of the Kingdom Alliance on the other hand, had already gone ahead of the coalition army with the flying monsters in tow, to serve as the reinforcements for the Expedition Army of the Orvon Kingdom who had already resumed their march after a day's rest.

Of course, such a large-scale movement that even involved high ranking monsters certainly attracted the attention of many as everyone's eyes and ears had been attracted to this spectacle.

"My god, imagine if those monsters would suddenly turn around and attack us right now. How long do you think this city would last, maybe a day or two?"

"It wouldn't even last five minutes"

"But is that a Cyclops? Darn, they're big, at least a two story house, right?"

"The real question here is, where are they going? Why are the armies from multiple kingdoms allied with the monster army?"

"Probably war? But there's no news about a large-scale war though"

"No, there's one. I heard from a friend that the Orvon Kingdom had formed a large-scale expedition force to engage the monsters coming from the sea, could it be about that?"

Players and natives alike flocked towards the wall of this small city and watched the procession of the coalition army on the road that connects every city in the continent just a hundred meters away from the wall they stood at.

The natives were growing worried as they gossiped in hush tones, but the players watching this were feeling giddy in excitement as they quickly flooded towards the internet and started searching for news related to the sight before them, while a few took advantage of the situation and started streaming.

"Hey guys! Are you seeing this? It's the monsters from that forbidden land called Neverwinter! What's absurd is that not only did they march past a couple of human domains, but they're marching together with the armies from those kingdoms!"

[Why aren't you going over there and start farming those monsters for EXP?! Stupid!]

"Are you retarded? No one in their right minds would go there and attack those monsters, that's basically suicide!"

While the streamer was busy talking to his audience, he saw one of the comments criticizing him and he immediately snapped back at that person for proposing such a stupid idea.

[I'll donate $1000 if you do!]

"No freaking way! You know full well how hard it is to gain a level in this game and I'm not going to waste my hard work for chump change!"

[Boooring! I'm going to unfollow you starting today!]

This streamer in a Wizard's attire was so disdainful that he rolled his eyes and said, "Boohoo, go ahead! I'm not one of those losers who are streaming for money! Do you think I'm poor and that I don't even have $1000?!"

And that particular viewer immediately unfollowed, either out of spite or embarrassment, while this was taking place, Michael, back home is also watching this streamer from his smart TV.

"So that's what they were up to. Well, at least the villagers wouldn't have to worry about going out of the village this time" Michael muttered while taking a bite of the sandwich in his hand.

"But what's taking those people so long to arrive? Don't tell me they're actually moving on foot?" While waiting for the people from the two guilds to reach Neverwinter, Michael was forced to stay put in the village, so he couldn't help but grumble since he almost had nothing to do, except being stuck inside the cabin.

Then Michael finally remembered something and quickly picked up his phone and dialed a number.

Ring~!

The call rang for a few seconds before someone answered it.

[What's up, Mike? Why are you calling?] Dylan's voice rang from the other side, it wasn't just his voice, there was the sound of people shouting, the sound of someone growling and roaring, the sound of explosions being heard in the background.

"What are you doing? How long till you reach Neverwinter?" Michael went straight to the point while his eyes were fixed on the TV.

'They even got a Cyclops, and with that size, it should be worthy as a Wild Boss, right?'

[Darn it, I had forgotten to tell you! I won't be able to come, Maverick will take my place since he died during the last skirmish since Minerva didn't want to further reduce our forces by sending me and a portion of our guild over on your side] Dylan hurriedly explained.

Michael instantly felt annoyed, but he calmly replied, "He would only be online after three days, that's going to take a while. Seems like the people from the War Angel will be the first ones to get here. You should feel fortunate since there isn't much different even if you came first or last"

[I know, since the land is monster infested right now, so it would be a while before a guild would be able to acquire their own domain in Neverwinter] Dylan laughed before shouting as he launched a spell.

[And don't worry about Maverick, that dude had recently gotten a Flying Mount, so he'd probably arrived ahead of the others, so just sit back and relax for now]

'Lucky guy, I don't even have a flying mount. I should try looking for one after this'

Michael sighed and answered, "You know that I actually want to participate in whatever large-scale war is happening right now, right?"

[Bro, you need to and you were right! It's the damn Sea Race that's attacking us right now! Seems like this would be the largest event in the game, even bigger than the previous Undead Rising]

'Why are the good things suddenly starting when I'm busy? Hmmm, should I relinquish my title to someone, so I don't have to deal with managing the territory? But who should I transfer it to though?'
