Chapter 563: Chaos
Chapter 563: Chaos
Server Announcement: Congratulations on Maverick for being the first player to become a Baronet!
Server Announcement: Congratulations to Flame Rose Guild for having a Nobility among its ranks!
A server announcement that hasn't been heard for quite a while rang throughout the whole world multiple times. Every player in the whole world stopped whatever they were doing and took a moment to register what just happened. Soon, the World Chat was flooded with various messages from players all over the game.
[ My god, another one actually earned a Noble title and for the second time, it's not a player from any of the Nine Major Guilds! Just what is happening?! ]
[ Isn't Maverick the Vice Leader of the Flame Rose Guild? Aren't they pretty close with the Revenant Guild who first acquired the first Noble title? ]
[ Damn, so Shadow wasn't joking around when he released the announcement that he will be bestowing nobilities to other players! ]
[ Now, It makes me curious if any of the Nine Major Guilds had sent their own teams to travel to his domain. ]
[ Of course, they must have! It's a noble title, even if it's a minor one! It's better than not having one! Just think about the advantages it could bring you, especially among the populace! ]
[ The discounts and premium Quest! Also priority on the Quests that the Nobles sometimes release to the public! ]
[ And a chance to meet Royalties! ]
[ Baronet is too minor, they're chance of meeting a Royalty is as low as you finding a beautiful girlfriend to suck your d*ck! ]
[ F*ck you b*tch! ]
While the World Chat is in chaos, the same could be said in the real world as some small media stations had already picked up the news. Specifically, radio stations being the ones who had gotten wind of it first.
[ We apologize for interrupting tonight's broadcast but we just received that Maverick, the Vice Leader of the up and rising Flame Rose Guild has just received his Noble title. Making him the second player in the game to become a Noble. Which is for obvious reasons, a title he received from their ally, the first noble in the game, Shadow. Who had announced a day ago that he would be granting titles to people who successfully makes their way to his realm. ]
The same news was also being broadcasted to other radio stations, but it only took a while before news stations also started picking up on it. Showing just how big the commercial power of the game is and for these media companies to interrupt whatever shows they were broadcasting just to deliver them to the public, the important events that are taking place inside the game.
While the world is bustling with the news, their rival enemies remained silent.
More precisely, they never bothered. Unconcerned that a small guild is getting the head start ahead of them.
A member of the Blackskull Guild watched the chaos happening in the World Chat with a chuckle. "Baronet huh. They sure are working hard"
One of his friends chimed in with a sneer. "If a Baronet is already causing that much of a ruckus. Wait till they find out that the Guildmaster is just a short step away from being granted an Earl!"
Another player tinkering with his bow rebuked him. "What are you being arrogant for? A Count is still higher than an Earl. Those bastards from the Revenant Guild still beat us in terms of hierarchy order."
Glaring at his teammate, that player argued back. "Fool, A Count and an Earl holds the same merit, just different names"
"You're the fool! While both Counts and Earls typically preside over counties or similar territories, Counts still hold a higher position in the noble hierarchy. Didn't you at least once go into the city library and read? That's the current structure of the nobility in this game" It seems like this particular player has a short fuse since he threw a middle finger to his friend.
"Boorish fellow"
The player ignored him and just snorted.
Back at Flame Rose Guild.
After a night of rest, the Expedition Army had resumed their journey towards their destination.
A Wizard looked up at the skies and watched the Wyvern Knights in the air, an envious expression on his face. "I wonder when I can get my own flying mount, preferably a Dragon and ride it to the skies?"
"Well, save up 10,000 Gold and go to the Isle of Skrova. Then you can have your own Wyvern Mount" His nearby companion, an Archer, who's walking beside him, heard his ramblings.
The Wizard let out a helpless chuckle and shook his head. "10,000 Gold. That's at least around half a million dollars. I'd rather buy a decent house with that money rather than spend it on a Flying Mount."
"Yeah, but think about the advantages it can give you while early in the game. You'd be one of the earlier players to have a Flying Mount with a Dragon bloodline. You'd eventually earn back the amount you spent while hunting Wild Bosses by yourself." The Archer had brought up quite a convincing point that even he was tempted to buy one.
A Warrior following behind them overheard their conversation and chimed in. "Yeah, but you've forgotten to mention that you also need to raise your Mount's level to even allow you to hunt a Wild Boss by yourself and that's only Mid-tier Bosses in the earlier Maps like an Orc Chieftain or an Ogre."
The Archer turned his head around and glared. "Oh shut up. Unlike the rest of us, you already have your own Flying Mount. So don't be a killjoy, will you?"
Watching the chaos happening both in the game and in real life, Minerva turned to Cereal Killer. "Maverick just became Baronet, you're not regretting it now are you?"
Cereal Killer chuckled and with a slightly arrogant tone. "I'm not. I had Shadow promised me to turn me into a Baron or something better if the opportunity arises later"
Amused, Minerva let out a soft chuckle. "Well, Maverick just now told me..he's being approached by several advertising companies."
"So? Those are chump change compared to what he makes"
"And he's being offered to act in one of the movies being produced in the game" Minerva continued.
"Fuck! Now, I'm slightly regretting it."
Cereal Killer let out a small curse. He had always wanted to act in a movie or a TV series, even if it's for a minor role.
