Chapter 1459: 1458 Two women love me
Bai Yiyi was not done looking yet.
Hearing Gu Kai’s words, she reluctantly handed him the booklet.
Gu Kai took the booklet, set Tongtong down and let Bai Yiyi hold her hand. He flipped through the red booklet while walking out with them.
“Daddy and Mommy.”
With Bai Yiyi holding her, Tongtong wasn’t even watching where she was going. Her eyes were fixed on the marriage certificate, and after a long time, she finally opened it. When she saw the photo of Gu Kai and Bai Yiyi inside, she gleefully called out to the photographed daddy and mommy.
Bai Yiyi, seeing Tongtong’s happy look, felt a wave of softness inside.
Looking at Gu Kai beside her, his warm, charming smile focused intently on the booklet—a demeanor unknowingly similar to Tongtong’s.
Indeed, they are father and daughter.
The excitement and joy are all the same.
“Yiyi, you’re photogenic. Let’s take more photos in the future,” Gu Kai suddenly commented after stepping out of the civil affairs office hall.
Bai Yiyi looked at him amusedly, “You’re quite handsome too.”
“Of course,” Gu Kai raised his eyebrows without any modesty, returned the examined booklet to Bai Yiyi, and reached out to hold Tongtong’s hand, “Take care of it; don’t lose it.”
“I’m not a little kid,” Bai Yiyi smiled, giving him a playful glare.
Gu Kai extended his other hand towards her, saying, “Come here, walk this way.”
“No.”
Bai Yiyi shook her head with a smile; she definitely didn’t want him to hold her hand in such a public place.
However, it wasn’t up to her to decide. In the next second, Gu Kai swapped places with Tongtong, boldly grasping her hand, holding it firmly in his palm.
With a teasing raise of his eyebrow, his smile was proud and satisfied, “Now, it’s perfect. I’m the happiest man in the world, with two women who love me.”
“Keep your voice down.”
Gu Kai’s words drew glances from passersby, Bai Yiyi blushed slightly and used her eyes to warn Gu Kai.
Gu Kai, seeing her reddened face, became even more smug, “Yiyi, get used to it. We’re now legally protected as a married couple, and holding hands is perfectly normal.”
With that, he suddenly leaned closer, his breath deliberately hot near her ear, and lowered his voice, saying ambiguously, “Tonight is our wedding night; we can properly do anything we want.”
“Daddy and Mommy are whispering secrets.”
Tongtong looked up from the red booklet just in time to see Gu Kai whispering into Bai Yiyi’s ear, and she immediately called out.
Nearby, someone chuckled softly.
Bai Yiyi’s face flushed hotly, glaring at Gu Kai with fragile anger, as she tried hard to pull her hand free but lacked the strength. Seeing Gu Kai’s smug smile, she could only grind her teeth silently.
Once in the car, Gu Kai noticed Bai Yiyi was still mad and ignoring him. His eyes flashed, and he looked at her innocently, “Yiyi.”
Bai Yiyi rolled her eyes and turned her face away.
“Mommy, Daddy is calling you.”
Tongtong, the little traitor clearly sided with her dad, shook Bai Yiyi’s hand and crisply reminded her.
Gu Kai laughed lightly, “Tongtong, what should we do when Mommy is angry?”
Bai Yiyi glared at him; why does my anger involve Tongtong?
Upon hearing Mommy was angry, Tongtong’s shiny big eyes blinked a few times before having an idea, “Daddy, Tongtong will give Mommy a kiss.”
Whenever she was upset, a kiss from Mommy would make her feel better.
Now, with Mommy upset, she thought if she gave Mommy a kiss, then Mommy wouldn’t be angry.
She climbed up, stood on the seat, hugged Bai Yiyi’s neck, and kissed her on the cheek, sweetly saying, “Mommy, don’t be angry.”
Bai Yiyi chuckled softly, raising a hand to wipe the drool on her face, “Tongtong, Mommy’s not angry at you.”
“Is Mommy angry at Daddy then?”
After hearing she wasn’t upset with her, joy again sprouted in Tongtong’s eyes.
“Yes, Mommy is mad at Daddy.”
While speaking, Bai Yiyi held her in her arms. Tongtong warmly nestled in Mommy’s embrace, “Daddy, Mommy’s mad at you; you should give Mommy a kiss.”
“Tongtong, don’t say such things.”
Bai Yiyi frowned slightly, stopping her.
Gu Kai laughed heartily, “Tongtong is so smart. Yiyi, I’ll owe you first.”
The last three words came with a hint of flirtation in his tone. As the words fell, he laughed cheerily twice, pulling over the seatbelt to buckle it.
Due to his words, Bai Yiyi’s heart skipped a beat.
Strangely, vivid images flashed before her, the kind with intense passion. She frowned, telling herself not to think foolishly.
Gu Kai, that bad man, did it on purpose.

The Maybach stopped at the graveyard, and Gu Kai carried Tongtong out of the car, with Bai Yiyi following behind.
Raising her eyes towards a row of headstones far away, Tongtong blinked her big eyes and pointed ahead to tell Gu Kai, “Daddy, this is Grandma’s home.”
Gu Kai froze, “Tongtong, who told you this is Grandma’s home?”
“Grandpa told me.”
Tongtong’s tender voice was swept away in the wind; Gu Kai gently patted her little head and softly asked, “Tongtong actually remembers this is Grandma’s home. Do you know where Grandma lives?”
He had never brought Tongtong here, only Bai Yiyi once.
During the Spring Festival, when his relationship with Bai Yiyi was strained, Gu Kai came alone to visit his mom, who rested here, promising her to bring Tongtong next time.
“Daddy, Mommy, I’ll take you to find Grandma.”
Tongtong looked up at Gu Kai and Bai Yiyi.
Gu Kai nodded, “Alright, Tongtong leads the way.”
Bai Yiyi watched Tongtong walk ahead; though her steps on the stairs were slow, she insisted on walking herself without letting either Gu Kai or Bai Yiyi hold her hand, as if to fulfill her promise of leading the way.
When Gu Kai and Bai Yiyi had little hope that Tongtong would find the right place, she really did locate her grandma’s ‘home’ among so many headstones.
“Daddy, Mommy, this is Grandma’s home.”
Tongtong pointed at the gentle smiling photo of Grandma on the tombstone, looking at Gu Kai and Bai Yiyi. To their surprise, she displayed no excitement or laughter; she seemed to understand that Grandma residing here wasn’t a joyful matter.
“That day, Grandpa came to see Grandma and cried.”
The time when Gu Yan brought Tongtong to the cemetery wasn’t long ago. Still, a child as young as Tongtong remembered it, and spoke with a hint of empathy for Grandpa, making Gu Kai’s heart tighten.
Bai Yiyi also had a change of emotion in her eyes, a subtle sentiment spreading through her heart.
She looked at the woman on the tombstone; her last visit, she addressed her as Auntie.
Now, she’s married to Ah Kai, becoming a daughter-in-law of the Mo family, and should call her ‘Mom’ alongside Gu Kai.
Beside her, Gu Kai quietly smiling said, “Mom, I have good news to share. I’m married.”
In the next moment, Bai Yiyi’s hand was wrapped by Gu Kai’s warm hands, his gentle and clear voice whispered in her ear, “Yiyi, say hello to Mom.”
“Grandma, this is my Mommy.”
Not waiting for Bai Yiyi to speak, Tongtong boldly introduced her instead.
