Mo Xiuchen held his phone in one hand, standing tall and graceful beside the pine tree. The afternoon sunlight filtered through the branches, casting dappled shadows on his handsome face.

Qin Mu saw Mo Xiuchen’s slight frown, clearly unhappy about being disturbed, and nudged An Lin with his elbow, hinting her to stop teasing Xiuchen.

An Lin restrained the smile on her face slightly, though her eyes were still full of mirth, “Ranran, let’s take the cable car down.”

“Sure.”

Wen Ran agreed happily.

Mo Xiuchen casually said, “You and Ah Mu take the cable car, I’ll walk down the mountain with Ranran. Since Ah Kai brought several kids, he can surely manage them, no rush.”

Surely, Qing Feng and Qing Yang came too, adding Gu Kai and Bai Yiyi made four, just perfect for each one to take care of a kid.

Qin Mu smiled, “Okay, you two amble down the mountain, An Lin, I’ll join you.”

“Then I’ll walk down the mountain too.”

An Lin’s outright refusal caused a slight moment of embarrassment on Qin Mu’s face, but it quickly returned to normal, and he shrugged, “If you’re all walking down, I’ll just go with the flow.”

So the four of them leisurely headed down the mountain.

At the foot of the mountain, Gu Kai and Bai Yiyi couldn’t possibly stay in the car with a bunch of kids. Only Qing Feng and Qing Yang followed along, each taking care of a little one and leisurely enjoying the view on the way to the resort a hundred meters away.

By the time Mo Xiuchen and the others descended the mountain and found them, it was already dusk.

Gu Kai and Bai Yiyi, along with the others, were at the resort, coaxing the four little darlings to swim.

Seeing Mo Xiuchen and Wen Ran walk in hand in hand, Ziyi, who was learning to paddle with his hands in the water, called out happily, “Daddy, Mommy.”

As he shouted, his paddling movements became faster.

Watching An Lin’s silhouette disappear at the door, Gu Kai turned to ask Qin Mu, “Ah Mu, have you reconciled with An Lin?”

Qin Mu’s brows furrowed lightly, his tone indifferent, “No, if she reconciled with me now, she wouldn’t be An Lin.”

He was actually clear about that in his mind.

By now, he wasn’t worried anymore.

As long as An Lin didn’t resolutely want a divorce, everything else could be managed.

“Then what’s the good news, leaving us hanging in suspense is cruel. Ranran, you tell us, what’s the good news?”

With a bright smile, Gu Kai looked at Wen Ran.

Mo Xiuchen released Wen Ran’s hand, calmly stating, “Get those little darlings out first; I’ll tell you later when we head out.”

Ten minutes later, Momo, Xin Xin, Ziyi, and Tongtong were neatly dressed, seated in a beautifully decorated private room. The waiters filed in, quickly setting a full table of gourmet dishes.

Gu Kai still had the good news on his mind, but shrewdly didn’t ask Mo Xiuchen, instead calling to Wen Ran, “Ranran.”

“It’s not that I won’t tell, but if I do, An Lin will hit me.”

Wen Ran smiled at An Lin, and after all the waiters exited the private room, Mo Xiuchen leisurely said, “An Lin, Ah Mu, before the meal, shouldn’t you fulfill your promise?”
