As soon as the little assistant left the office, Bai Xiaoxiao’s phone rang.

Bai Xiaoxiao slowly took out her phone. Seeing the caller ID, her smile became even brighter. Her delicate fingers pressed the answer button, and her voice was as gentle as a breeze, making the listener feel relaxed and happy.

“Hello!”

“Xiaoxiao, do you like those roses?”

Sure enough, that was the most effective line. As soon as she heard her salary might be docked, the assistant disappeared from Bai Xiaoxiao’s office in less than ten seconds.

Because of the bouquet of flowers from Luo Haofeng, Bai Xiaoxiao was in a good mood all day.

Xiao Yuting told her that in the afternoon, he was going to the police station to see Xu Wanfei.

“Okay, I got it.”

In this week at work, the group hadn’t had time to get together.

Tonight is the Lantern Festival, so a gathering is a must.

“Xiaoxiao, there’s something else I need to tell you.”

Wen Ran’s voice gently came through the phone, “Last night, Qin Mu told Mo Xiuchen that Meng Ke might be involved in some illegal activities.”

“Illegal?”

Bai Xiaoxiao still found it hard to believe.

“Yes, don’t tell anyone for now. The police are still collecting evidence.”

Besides Qin Mu, only Wen Ran and Mo Xiuchen knew about it, and by telling Bai Xiaoxiao, it was just the four of them who knew.

The fewer people who knew about such a thing, the better. Meng Ke was already being watched by the police, and Tang Yang would be back from the U.S. in a few days.

“What did Ranran just tell you?”

Thinking of Wen Ran’s instructions, Bai Xiaoxiao grinned awkwardly, “Dad, Ranran told me not to tell anyone for the time being. It’s about Meng Ke, because there’s no evidence yet.”

Mr. Bai knowingly nodded and stopped pressing, “So, is there really something wrong with Meng Ke?”

“Yes, he has problems.”

Bai Xiaoxiao looked very serious.
