The next morning, Bai Xiaoxiao got up early.

“Dad, I have something to tell you.”

Mr. Bai chuckled, looking at Bai Xiaoxiao with affectionate eyes, “Is it because of Luo Haofeng again?”

Bai Xiaoxiao smiled and lowered her voice, “Dad, Luo Haofeng said he wants to visit you and Mom today.”

Mr. Bai’s eyebrows furrowed slightly, deep and contemplative eyes reflecting a moment of thought, “Xiaoxiao, tell Dad, are you really pregnant?”

Bai Xiaoxiao averted her gaze, avoiding Mr. Bai’s eyes.

Mr. Bai understood, his voice slightly heavier, “In this case, he should come to see us.”

Last time Bai Xiaoxiao told Qiao Xiuyun she was pregnant, Mr. Bai knew it was false.

Mr. Bai was still amused by her, “Don’t say I’m good so early. If your mom doesn’t agree today, you mustn’t argue with her, okay?”

“I know, I’m not a child anymore; I won’t argue with Mom.”

“Good to know, this matter has reached this point and needs resolution.”

Mr. Bai sighed, let Bai Xiaoxiao’s hands off his arms, stood up, and walked towards the living room.

Bai Xiaoxiao stood by the small table in the garden, watching her father enter the living room before pulling out her phone and dialing Luo Haofeng’s number.

After two rings, Luo Haofeng’s voice came through, “Xiaoxiao.”

“I just spoke to my dad. You can come today, but don’t come too early; my mom doesn’t know yet.”

“You only told your dad?”

“My dad said he would tell my mom.”

Bai Xiaoxiao replied truthfully.

“Okay, I’ll be at your house around ten o’clock. Mo Xiuchen and Ranran agreed too; they’ll bring the three little kids along.”

“Why do I hear a car? Where are you going so early?”

On the phone, the sound of a car horn made Bai Xiaoxiao frown slightly.

Luo Haofeng laughed twice on the other end, “I’m going to Ah Jin’s place for something; later, I’ll come over with Mo Xiuchen and the others.”

Bai Xiaoxiao stayed in the garden for a few more minutes, giving time for her dad to speak to her mom.

“Last night.”
