When Gu Kai arrived outside Jing Xiaocha’s hospital room, Wen Jin was still inside and hadn’t come out.

He stood at the door and looked through the window, seeing Wen Jin sitting by the bedside, his back to the entrance, obscuring his expression.

However, from the tender look in Jing Xiaocha’s eyes, it was clear they were having a pleasant conversation.

Gu Kai raised his hand and knocked on the door.

Wen Jin immediately turned his head toward the door. Before he could speak, Gu Kai pushed open the door and entered, grinning, “I heard from Ranran that Xiaocha woke up, so I came to see.”

“Older Brother Gu.”

Jing Xiaocha greeted politely, while Wen Jin asked calmly, “Did Ranran and Mo Xiuchen leave?”

“They just left. Ranran wanted to stay and take care of Xiaocha, but you know how domineering Mo Xiuchen can be.”

Jing Xiaocha smiled softly, “I don’t need anyone to take care of me.”

It’s just one arm that can’t move; she could still manage by herself.

It’s not as if the injury was elsewhere, rendering her immobile.

Gu Kai glanced at Wen Jin before speaking, “Xiaocha, I’ve already arranged for a special nursing assistant to care for you 24/7. Don’t try to tough it out. If you don’t properly take care of that arm, it might not recover properly.”
