Momo raised an eyebrow, bypassing him to walk over to the horizontal bar.

"If you really want to know, do a hundred pull-ups and I’ll tell you,"

she said casually.

Beside her, Ye Zhan stopped after completing a hundred pull-ups.

His hands which held the bar didn’t loosen, the tension increased during Momo and Huo Song’s conversation.

Listening to Momo’s light-hearted voice and looking at her bright smile, his gaze darkened.

She turned her head, pointed at him,

then turned around and walked out of the park.

Ye Zhan stood there, watching her back, thinking about something unknown, forgetting to follow her.

Until an elderly man practicing Tai Chi a few meters away walked over and said to him, "Young man, you need to coax your girlfriend, no matter how mad she is, just coax her hard."

He snapped back to reality.

Saying, "Thank you, sir,"

he took off running out of the park, catching up to the phone-talking Momo.

Hearing the footsteps running from behind, Momo continued talking to Huo Song with an unchanged expression.

Ye Zhan didn’t interrupt her call, just stopped when he caught up with her, walking alongside her, side by side.

In the distance, behind the floor-to-ceiling window of a certain villa.

A man sat by the window, one hand propped on the small table, the other holding a pair of binoculars, watching the scene unraveling in the park with an enigmatic look.

A smile of interest appeared at the corner of his mouth.
