Chapter 1152 - Checkmate

"Spirit God!" The Dragon God's voice resounded on the battlefield to the point along with his anger and frustration.

Yet, it didn't stop there. The messenger continued to inform them of the second bad news. "And the Magic Goddess is doing the same thing as the Life and Death Goddess along with all the Spirit God's allies, attacking the Phoenix Goddess's territory."

"!!!" This time, the Phoenix Goddess flared up as she couldn't contain her anger anymore. First, Alex had killed all her phoenixes and sent her the chopping parts of the Rank 2 God Phoenixes. And now the Spirit God wanted to annihilate every single of her people. Although she didn't care about them, she still needed them to forcefully turn them into a phoenix, becoming her asset.

Yet, everything would surely end because of this situation.

"You bastard! I'm going to kill you!"

Alex laughed and shouted, "Kill me?! Why don't you come here? I'm here, waiting for someone to kill me."

However, the Dragon God noticed another important thing as his anger turned into a shock before his face turned pale.

"!!!" Dragon God gasped and pointed his finger at Alex. "You… You… Did you plan all this?"

Alex smirked and said, "You all have been checkmated."

What the Dragon God just realized was the fact that they were already hopeless. If they retreated here, Alex and the others would surely go toward the Earth God and Battle God, ending their lives.

And if they retreated accordingly, not only would they experience a heavy loss, but they couldn't return to their own territories as well because it would mean they would be surrounded from all sides, especially with Alaya and Rubia joining the fray. Alex wouldn't leave this chance and called the other three God Kings and killed them simultaneously.

The only way was to have reinforcement, albeit it meant that the Bats and Angel would need to help them. However, it was impossible because they had gone too deep. Alex and the others would intercept their messages first before reaching the two "weapons" and the soldiers would also fall into despair.

At the same time, if they fell here, it would mean that Alex only needed to destroy the Angel and Bats before killing their king. Unlike in the past, where Alex needed to fight him alone, this time, they had more than ten God Kings to handle him.

Even if their strength had yet to reach the previous generations, as long as Alex reached God King, they would surely kill their king.

This was the real trap Alex made the moment he asked Alaya and Rubia to fight against them. And this was why the other three God Kings decided to not make any move.

All of them were traps for Alex to invite them this deep. And with such confidence, they didn't set up a transmission or a code that could be sent to inform the other side to retreat.

Their current situation was truly hopeless. However, the Dragon God also noticed one single move that could save them from this.

"We need to go to the Bats and Angel's territories," the Dragon God whispered to the Phoenix Goddess but also noticed that Alex must have predicted this move. In other words, the moment they returned there, it would be their graves.

After all, Alex only needed to pinpoint those two areas and started suppressing them before eventually killing them.

The Dragon God gritted his teeth and looked at Alex. "For how long have you been planning this?"

Alex only smiled as he remembered the trial of the Dungeon God. He realized how to utilize the mind game to win the war. At the same time, Aria's art of war also became his inspiration.

The Dragon God thought for a moment and shouted. "I need one thousand God Rank Experts to escape from this encirclement and inform the Earth God and Battle God to return to Planet D. We are going to retreat to Planet Z. I don't care how many lives you need to sacrifice, make sure the two know about our intention."

"Ye-yes."

Alex also waved his hand as he spread all his army, making sure that there wasn't a single person slipping past them. The spaceships also had been using Arrays to create a temporary Special Realm, not allowing any teleportation to the outside.

"You bastard! Do you think you have won this war? No! Our Supreme King is the greatest!" The Dragon God snorted and raised his hands. "We are breaking through this encirclement."

Alex also ordered his army along with the God of Destruction. "God of Destruction! We need to keep them here as long as possible. Even if you can't kill those two, we need to hold them here and cripple their armies. With this, we will have an easier time in the future."

Listening to their conversations this whole time made him understand that he shouldn't make Alex his enemy. He shouted. "Do you hear it guys? Leave no one alive!"

"Uoh!"

The Dragon God gritted his teeth and said, "Phoenix Goddess… You will handle the God of Destruction with all of his Rank 2 Gods."

Noticing the severeness of this matter, the Phoenix Goddess suppressed her anger for a moment and nodded. "I understand. I will do it."

The Dragon God then turned around and summoned all the Rank 2 Gods under his influence. Considering this was just a distraction, there were some holding down the fort, but he truly regretted not bringing them here since they would soon die under Alaya's hand.

Eight Rank 2 Gods appeared and followed him, moving toward Alex to buy time, so Alex didn't suppress a single Fire Element User in the Phoenix Goddess's side.

"Unfortunately, you are still too confident, Spirit God. You should at least bring your Elemental Gods if you want to stop us here." The Dragon God's hands slowly turned to that of a dragon before his entire body became a dragon itself.

He revealed his true form that turned out to be a blue dragon. His appearance looked like that of a western dragon and a huge wing that spanned over one hundred meters.

A roar shook the battlefield, showing his anger toward Alex. "I'm going to kill you, Spirit God."

The Phoenix Goddess seemed to have the same intention and didn't bother to hide it anymore. She turned into a Phoenix.

The God of Destruction only smiled when he looked at her true form. He pointed to the left, saying, "All fire element users are to go to help the Spirit God. You're useless in front of that fire."

Without hesitation, they followed his instruction and went toward Alex.

Seeing that everyone had left, the God of Destruction raised his hand as a purple aura coming out of his body.

"This is the time I show the result of my practice… I hope that you can give me an insight, Phoenix Goddess." He smiled as his whole body was surrounded by the Power of Destruction. Just like the God of Wrath, he also began to understand his power even more and fused with it. "I'm the destruction itself. No matter where I go, the destruction shall follow."

He raised his middle finger and smirked. "Come, you parasite phoenix!"

Cry.

The Phoenix Goddess let out a loud cry as she flew toward him.

Seeing the other side had begun, Alex also noticed their movement where they tried to break through the encirclement. He looked at the blue dragon and said to Lin Xingzhi. "Can you handle the blue dragon for me?"

"Sure thing. I'm in the middle of training, so I don't have the confidence to kill him, but I should have enough power to last for days and he won't escape."

Alex nodded and smiled as he began to fly forward along with Korzan, looking at the eight Rank 2 Gods.

"No matter how powerful you are, you two won't be able to beat eight Rank 2 Gods. It's over." The Dragon God still tried to look down on Alex, so his soldiers were inspired and stayed strong since there was no guarantee they would lose yet.

Alex chuckled and took out his weapons while saying, "What a bold claim, right, Korzan?"

"I shall follow Your Majesty's order." Korzan pulled his long sleeves as he started releasing his Divine Energy.

"Can you handle four of them for me? I will handle the remaining four."

A smile suddenly appeared on Korzan's face as he took off his glasses. His body began to burn and turn into magma. "If they can't defeat the Elemental Gods, they won't be enough to stop me."

Alex smiled and released all his energy too. "So reassuring… Let's see who can kill them first, shall we?"

Just like that battlefield, on the other side, Alex also left a system, especially through his system.

Anya relayed the message to Anna.

[Anna… Alex wants you to encircle them and eliminate every single one of them. And there will be a messenger there. You need to kill them too. This way, those two will not know the other battlefield's situation. The moment we have gotten a hold of them, they will end up retreating to another place which is most likely where all the bears stay.]

[We will then attack there and eliminate every single Bear in that world. After this battle, Alex wants all the Dragons, Phoenixes, Bears to be eliminated. In other words, we will only need to face Bats, Angel, and the remaining Snakes along with their God Kings in the next war. Their strength will be exponentially reduced.]

Anna narrowed her eyes and nodded before looking to the sides, finding the Saintess had arrived with the reinforcement.

"You all are late!" Anna snorted.

The Saintess's eyebrows twitched, thinking that Anna had no manner, considering they were here to help them. However, another Rank 2 God under the Holy God patted her shoulder and shook his head. "If you take a closer look, Eulja has two more God Kings. And there is God of Wrath among them. Eulja's strength is not to be underestimated. Only now can I see why His Holiness said that the Spirit God is scary."

The Saintess widened her eyes and took another look, realizing what she almost did.

"This is why His Holiness asked me to go with you. Someone needs to calm you down. For now, forget about that pride of yours."

Anna didn't know about their conversation, but she already had the plan ready from Anya. Anna shouted, "The reinforcement from the Holy God is to hit from the left side."

Without waiting for their answer, Anna returned to her position and informed every single Rank 2 Gods on their side. "Elemental Gods! All of you are to attack them from this side. They can go up and down, so we will intercept them accordingly."

Agnis acknowledged it out loud. "Understood."

Anna then sent another order. "Ten Commandants, you all go to our left sides. We will need you to make sure not a single of them can escape."

"Understood." All of them shouted simultaneously.

"Marcus! Position yourself to protect the Ten Commandants from Battle God's power."

Listening to the order, Marcus showed his answer with his action by going around the Battle God to situate himself between them.

"Lastly, all five Guardians will surround them from behind. Your order is the same."

"Understood." William nodded and signaled Sullivan to help them as well.

While they were moving, Anna actually disappeared from the battlefield.

Suddenly, Carissa was stunned when she saw Anna appearing in front of her. She then heard a thought transmission.

'Carissa, can you spread the poison behind us? There will be messengers coming from the other battlefield. I want you to watch out for them. This is the most important mission from Alex."

Carissa gulped down and took a deep breath. Her expression turned serious as she nodded. 'I understand. I will make sure none of them pass… I guarantee it with my life.'

Anna patted her shoulder before returning to the battlefield, preparing to help Jeanne again on the battlefield.

Raising her hands, she shouted. "His Majesty's decree! None of them shall escape from this place alive!"

"Uoh!"
