Chapter 1185 - Marcus And Goddess Of Destiny

Chapter 1185 - Marcus And Goddess Of Destiny

The explosion cracked the stone body to the point some stones floated around him.

"…" The Earth God gritted his teeth and checked his body to regenerate it.

Marcus simply made a smug smile and said, "How about getting angry again? You're not fun."

He just manipulated and created a personification of the Earth God's anger to hit him from the back, so obviously, he tried to provoke him again.

Understanding the reason behind it, the Earth God tried to calm his heart down bit by bit, but Marcus wouldn't let him do that. In the previous two attacks, Marcus actually infused so much of his Law that would mess up Earth God's emotion, especially the anger.

At the same time, he appeared right in front of him and punched with his cold anger.

Boom.

The punch knocked the Earth God away while freezing the part where it crumbled and froze it to prevent the Earth God from recovering it.

"You!" The Earth God obviously wanted to flare up, but Marcus would surely use it against him again, hence, he tried his best to remain calm and abandoned any kind of funny idea.

"Well, I will need to end you quickly and help the others, so I will be serious right now." Marcus suddenly summoned two flames on his hand. The first one was the Fire of Anger that could melt everything, while the other was his Cold Anger.

He just wanted to show the Earth God that he didn't fight him seriously this whole time, meaning that his power was too low for him to consider going all out.

Surprisingly, the Earth God only laughed at him. "Since you think you're the only one, I will tell you that you won't be able to catch up with me."

The stone golem that acted as his body turned black as if it was covered by his fur. However, Marcus knew that this black color made the entire body stronger.

Although he didn't know how much stronger he had become, the God of Wrath flew straight to him with both flames to test his new ability. He spun his body and created a twister of Blazing and Freezing Flames.

The Earth God moved its giant body and clapped both hands, squeezing the twister like it was nothing before destroying it.

However, the Earth God found his hands were ripped apart. He abandoned that portion of hands by cutting it off because of the Icy Anger influence and replaced it with another one.

"Hahaha, this is great. It seems you can fight me on equal ground despite being a loser a few years ago. Unfortunately, you're still too young." The Earth God laughed and charged toward him.

Feeling that he wasn't beneath the Earth God, Marcus decided to play with him in close combat. He punched, kicked, and released his techniques over and over again, but the Earth God seemed to have enough strength to push him back every time.

Of course, he also didn't have any injury or whatsoever because their strength was at the same level. But Marcus started panting because he used a great deal of stamina. As for his Divine Energy, he should be able to fight for a few minutes if he didn't care about the usage.

And that was the reason why he engaged the Earth God in the first place. He simply wanted to know where the Earth God hid under that huge body.

After a few tries, he found that the Earth God hid inside the stomach.

Marcus released both flames again and looked at him. "This is the end. I will defeat you in this next move."

When the Earth God heard this, he laughed uncontrollably as if finding it impossible. He then flew toward him and sent a fist to destroy him. "Take this then, Earth Shattering Fist."

The God of Wrath showed something unprecedented. He fused both flames into one and charged forward. His plan was to destroy the fist and go straight toward the Earth God.

The two fists collided and created a huge shock wave that shook the universe. If this fist hit a Lower World, they might have created enough damage to almost destroy it.

Yet, Marcus widened his eyes in shock when the two clashed, finding that the stone that was supposed to melt started regenerating. Even though it should be stopped by his Icy Anger, the arm regenerated at speed visible with naked eyes.

"What?!" Marcus gritted. Little did he know, his Icy Anger indeed froze the rock's surface, but it would be different if it were not the surface.

The Earth God actually regenerated the inside rock, which hadn't been influenced by the Icy Anger. At the same time, it pushed all those that had been affected outside and let it melt.

While Marcus's power got weaker and weaker, the Earth God remained the same.

The conclusion came suddenly as the Earth God's fist pushed the God of Wrath before slamming his entire body with that giant fist.

"!!!" Marcus, however, found something wrong. He felt more wounds on his body than he expected since it was a fist and realized that there were many small spikes on the rock surface, impaling his body.

"Die!"

That one fist could conclude the battle might not be an understatement. Marcus had also used his entire strength and realized it wasn't enough.

With around thirty holes in his body from hands, feet, and stomach and two on the cheeks, Marcus was at the death door. Yet, something seemed to be pulling him out of the death door.

It was a strange feeling, but a certain scene flashed in his eyes.

It was a few years ago when he and the Goddess of Destiny fought against the Dragon God, Phoenix Goddess, Earth God, and Battle God.

With her injured body, the Goddess of Destiny looked at him and said, "I think they're going to kill us here."

"Hahahaha! No need to say it. Your fate is to die. We will take good care of your people." The Earth God laughed.

The Goddess of Destiny suddenly grabbed Marcus's hand and pulled him into her embrace.

"Wha—"Marcus never expected her to do something like this, but before he could say anything, the next thing he realized, his lips had already been sealed by her lips.

Something seemed to enter his body, but he didn't know what it was. But when he saw her eyes, the stars on her eyes that seemed to be able to see through fate were shining.

"Haiz, I should have been more proactive until this day." She smiled and continued, "I should have pursued the love of my life. Unfortunately, it's time to say goodbye even though this is the first time I have decided to make a move. I have been scared when seeing through my fate with you, and I regret doing so. But…"

She pushed his chest away with all her strength, launching him so far away. There was one thing that would always be stuck in his mind. It was her last smile, tears, and words. "Goodbye. Oh, fate. If there's another life, please give me the courage to do anything."

Her body started glowing before she chanted. "Fate… Alter."

"Wha—"Marcus was in shock and had no time to think, but he then realized after passing a few worlds, he felt a suction force from behind him. When he turned around, he found a giant black hole that would lead him to another universe. If he went there and hid for a moment, the enemies wouldn't find her, but at that moment, tears filled his cheek, feeling something that caused his Wrath revolving crazily, but it felt his body was in euphoria, only to find it crumbled right after.

Without stopping, he got absorbed into a black hole and disappeared.

Remembering this scene, the God of Wrath released all his power before a certain white line came into his vision. He was confused for a second, but soon realized the white line was the thing the Goddess of Destiny hid. The anger swelling in his mind numbed his senses and stopped the blood flow.

He gritted his teeth and saw the loop from the left before going to the right and making a big loop to the left.

It was pretty complex, but for a second, he understood this was something that needed to be done.

'You…'

There was then another string that stretched straight to him before going around his own path. This was the Earth God's path for a few seconds.

He couldn't help but tear up because of the overwhelming emotion. 'You fool, why did you keep doing this? You made it hard for me to forget you when you're not here…'

When the Earth God flew straight toward him, Marcus leaped to the left, following the hidden path that only he could see. It was his fate to move to the left. It was his destiny to follow this path.

As if the destiny was scripted, the two followed the exact same path and clashed with each other. However, Marcus knew it was also his fate to break from that destiny.

As he was about to reach the last string of destiny, Marcus leaped above the Earth God, knowing where the Earth God would move for a split second in the future. He then channeled all his power to his two fists.

The right fist contained his blazing anger that would melt everything, while the left one was covered by his cold anger that would freeze everything it touched.

"Dual Anger. Blazing Ice Anger." Marcus gathered them together and hit the golem where the Earth God controlled the golem.

"Huh?!" The Earth God obviously couldn't react to this because of his current position. In fact, this might be the biggest gap in his defense for the whole time because Marcus knew where he was going and countered it to disrupt that balance.

Marcus appeared right in front of the golem's stomach as well as where he hid.

"No!" Sweats fell from his forehead and raised his two hands, not the golem hands, to protect his body.

Unfortunately for him, this was Marcus's full power like how Alex summoned Nine Purities Slash when he was still a God King. He could only do it once because it took more than half of his reserve.

"This is the end." Marcus plunged his fists forward and hit the golem's stomach. The stone cracked and shattered into pieces, revealing the Earth God right behind the Golem's Wall. The Earth God used all his power to block this attack, but his stone melted and froze at the same time, revealing his real bear's paw.

Due to the melting and freezing power, the bear paw turned weaker as Marcus broke his palms and ripped it off the arms. His fists continued toward the Bear's chest as the power exploded when it hit the chest.

Boom.

The golem started crumbling as if the Earth God had been defeated. As for the two that clashed with each other. Marcus ended up creating a hole on the Earth God's chest, but the Earth God did the most terrifying move of all.

Right before the fists touched his chest, the Earth God abandoned all kinds of defense, knowing he wouldn't be able to win against Marcus. Instead of defending, he channeled all his power to his foot and raised it upward.

Marcus raised his defense, but it was too late as it already damaged him too far. What the Earth God did was kick him on the balls.

"Congratulations, you won't have any children from this point on." The Earth God made a smug smile before summoning a spike behind them to kill both of them together.

Marcus gritted his teeth, enduring the pain. Despite his mouth starting to foam, he endured it and used the hole in the Earth God's chest to shred him into two before using the Blazing Anger to melt him into nothing.

"Die!"

The Earth God clicked his tongue and knew it was impossible to kill him and closed his eyes, accepting his fate as he was ripped apart.
