Chapter 601: New Title, Did I Just Create Something Dangerous Yet Legendary?
He frowned and continued concentrating on the skill and Aura.
If strength alone wasn’t enough, perhaps "talking" with the skill would work better.
After all, Soul Evolution supposedly allowed Aura to make slight adjustments to skills.
Isaac mentally reasoned with the skill, as if trying to convince the skill rather than overpower it.
Seed of Providence affected seeds, and a fertilized egg was, in a sense, another form of seed containing new life.
If the skill ranked up further someday, it might naturally gain the ability to affect biological seeds as well.
As that thought settled in his mind, the resistance became slightly weaker.
Isaac wasn’t sure whether he was imagining it or whether evolved Aura really allowed this kind of interaction with skills.
Either way, he continued carefully guiding the Aura instead of trying to force the change.
He even made himself a quiet promise. The next time he obtained a Skill Rank Up Ticket suitable for Seed of Providence, he would use it on this skill first. Whether that promise mattered or not, he felt the resistance lessen a little more.
Finally, Isaac told the Seed of Providence that it was the very first skill he ever obtained (it was not), and now he was attempting to create a new, different life from a monster.
He wanted his oldest skill to be part of this achievement.
The last trace of resistance faded away. Isaac immediately felt his evolved Aura slip into the skill, making an incredibly small adjustment without changing the skill’s core nature.
Rather than altering what the skill did, it slightly broadened what it recognized as a valid target.
The effect activated immediately. Through his Life Element, Isaac sensed the embryo rapidly complete its development in only a few seconds, taking the nutrients and mana from him. What should have taken several days happened almost instantly.
The sudden change woke the female Bramble Hare. Before the monster could panic, Isaac activated Celestial Tempter Eyes and gently influenced its emotions so that it regarded him as harmless. The hare gradually calmed down instead of attacking him.
Isaac looked at the monster’s swollen abdomen and immediately realized a serious problem. He had successfully accelerated the pregnancy, but he had absolutely no idea how to help with childbirth. That part had never crossed his mind.
"Celeste," Isaac called.
Almost as soon as his voice echoed through the clearing, Celeste silently appeared behind him. The Bramble Hare became tense upon noticing another person, but it remained under the calming influence of Isaac’s skill. Celeste looked from Isaac to the monster with mild curiosity.
"Yes, Master?" she asked.
Isaac pointed awkwardly at the Bramble Hare.
"Can you help this monster give birth?" he asked.
"Understood, Master," Celeste replied without hesitation.
She stepped forward and lightly tapped the Bramble Hare’s forehead with two fingers. The restless monster immediately calmed down, and the tension in its body disappeared almost instantly.
Isaac looked at her with surprise. The technique didn’t resemble any skill or Art that he knew. It seemed more like an Art specifically designed to soothe people going berserk.
"Dragons often become violent during childbirth. Their instincts tell them to attack anyone who gets close, even the wet nurses trying to help them. Because of that, we’re taught several Arts that calm them down without hurting them," Celeste explained while carefully lifting the Bramble Hare into her arms.
Isaac nodded and stepped aside to give her room. Celeste took out a sturdy table from her spatial storage before placing a soft cushion on top of it. She gently laid the Bramble Hare down and immediately began preparing for the delivery.
Her movements were smooth and practiced. Isaac noticed that she was subtly using Telekinesis to assist her hands, allowing her to perform several delicate tasks at the same time. Only a few minutes later, the newborn was finally delivered.
It was a tiny Bramble Hare.
A notification appeared before Isaac’s eyes.
Monster Breeder Title gained.
Isaac instinctively checked its mana through his senses. The moment he observed deeper, an instinctive feeling told him: The newborn had been born as an Overlord.
He silently looked between the baby and its parents. Both parents were only Champion-ranked monsters, yet their offspring had surpassed them by an entire rank. Even after everything he had witnessed recently, that result still exceeded his expectations.
The little Bramble Hare slowly opened its eyes and looked around the room. Its gaze wandered from one person to another before eventually stopping on Isaac.
There was unmistakable intelligence in those eyes, something no ordinary System Monster should possess.
Isaac immediately became alert. His muscles tensed as he prepared to pull Celeste away if the newborn suddenly attacked. Before he could move, however, Celeste simply smiled.
"It’s alright. I don’t think he’s going to attack anyone," she said calmly.
She carefully placed the newborn beside its mother on the cushion. Surprisingly, the baby barely paid any attention to the adult Bramble Hare. Instead, it continued staring at Isaac while raising its tiny paws toward him as though asking to be picked up.
Celeste called over several other Dragon Maids to assist her. Together, they carefully checked the newborn’s condition and made sure everything was stable after the unusually rapid birth. Although it had been born as an Overlord, its body was still that of an infant and would need time to properly grow into stats worthy of an Overlord.
Isaac quietly observed everything. His expression remained calm, but his thoughts were racing. The modified plants he had created before had only reached the combat strength of Elite awakeners, yet this creature had been born directly as an Overlord.
Before he could examine it further, a weak voice echoed inside the clearing.
[Pa... Papa...]
Every maid froze where they stood. Isaac stared at the newborn in complete disbelief. The tiny Bramble Hare hadn’t spoken normally but had transmitted its thoughts through mana, something dragons commonly did before learning to speak aloud.
The problem was obvious. This wasn’t a dragon, and it had only been born a few moments ago. There shouldn’t have been any way for it to communicate like this. Either the monster was too talented, or Isaac had just created an unimaginably powerful species.
