Isaac stared at the notification for a moment, his expression showing a mixture of surprise and curiosity. He was certainly surprised by it, but considering everything he had heard about the Seventh Queen and her terrifying potential, it was not completely unexpected. After all, the ability to see the future was not something that could be taken lightly.

His eyes moved across the system screen as more information appeared before him.

Status 1: Worried that Isaac Hargraves might have already put his hands on her daughter, Althea. If he had, and if she discovered that he had done it through unsavory means, she would make him regret it. As for herself, if he dared to approach her, she would make sure he died painfully.

Status 2: Feeling a headache because this damned Second Priest is here.

Status 3: Happy that Althea is back. Wants to sit with her and talk with her while having sweets.

Isaac was surprised by how long the status screen was. This was the first time the system had provided him with such a detailed description of someone’s personality, and after thinking about it for a moment, he realized that it was probably another effect of his recent system upgrade. Perhaps the system had simply become capable of showing him considerably more information than before.

His attention shifted toward the guards standing behind the Seventh Queen, and he quickly realized that the system screen was attached to one of them rather than the woman sitting on the throne. That was exactly what he had been told to expect, since Jasmine apparently had the habit of using automatons and had even filled her entire palace with them.

Isaac continued reading through the information before anyone could notice that his attention was elsewhere.

Isaac paused when he reached the age listed on the screen. Jasmine was only twenty-one, which was considerably younger than he had imagined after hearing that she had taken care of Althea since childhood. Althea herself was still young, so the fact that Jasmine had apparently been responsible for her upbringing raised a rather obvious question in Isaac’s mind.

How had a child taken care of another child?

He did not have an answer for that, so he decided to leave the question for later. What caught his attention more immediately was her personality, because the first several traits matched the image he had already formed of the Seventh Queen after learning that she was a technomancer.

Genius, curious, inventive, experimental, resourceful, and willing to take risks were all traits he could easily associate with someone capable of creating countless powerful automatons. However, the further he went down the list, the more complicated his expression became.

Emotionally Scarred. Abandonment-Averse. Touch-Starved. Lonely. Affection-Hungry. Fearful of Attachment.

Isaac frowned slightly as he looked at those traits. There was clearly some story behind them, and considering the combination of loneliness, fear of attachment, and her desire for affection, it was probably not a pleasant story. He had heard from Eloy of rumors that Jasmine was the one who rejected the Emperor’s advances on their wedding night, but after seeing this information, Isaac began wondering if she was the one who rejected the other.

Isaac looked around the throne room at the countless automatons standing silently around them. Suddenly, their presence seemed to make considerably more sense, because if Jasmine truly felt lonely but was afraid of depending on other people, filling her palace with automatons might have been her way of surrounding herself with companions without having to expose herself emotionally.

It was certainly an unusual solution, but Isaac could understand the logic behind it. Automatons would never abandon her, reject her, betray her, or judge her for being vulnerable, and perhaps that was exactly what she wanted.

His attention then moved toward the list of things Jasmine liked, and his expression became somewhat strange. Sweets, cute things, fluffy things, plushies, machines, books, sleeping, napping, comfortable clothes, and staying in her room were not exactly what Isaac had expected from the mysterious Seventh Queen.

He had imagined someone extremely dignified and imposing after hearing about her position and abilities. Instead, the system had basically informed him that the Seventh Queen was a lazy shut-in who loved sweets and preferred spending her time in her room.

Isaac almost felt that the image he had constructed of her had completely collapsed.

If he had not seen the system screen, he would have been completely fooled by the majestic appearance of the automaton sitting on the throne. The woman before him looked like an experienced ruler who had spent decades sitting above everyone else, yet the real Jasmine was someone who probably wore comfortable clothes and lazed around in her room every day.

Then Isaac reached the list of dislikes, and his expression gradually became more serious.

She hated the World Tree, the Emperor, and all the factions of Florathi Kingdom.

The fact that someone who could see the future possessed such a strong dislike for the World Tree and the Emperor was rather concerning, especially since both were extremely important figures within Florathi Kingdom.

She also hated politics and nobility, disliked crowds and socializing, hated going outside, and apparently preferred avoiding conversation whenever possible. Her dislike of socializing also confirmed what Isaac had already begun to suspect about her. Jasmine was not merely somewhat introverted; she seemed to have taken being an introvert to an almost ridiculous level.
