Sylas immediately used just over 400,000 of his Experience to upgrade One Kind For Me and Were-for-the-Invincible, leaving him with just shy of 700,000 Experience remaining.

He could have poured that into Taboo Bond, but as of right this moment, Taboo Bond wasn't the most useful to him. He couldn't use Demonic Genes, and if he did want to experiment with something like that later, he could just store the corpses in the Madness Key to preserve them and try when he had more Experience to work with.

Gaining Experience in the E-Grade would be much harder since he was still in the F-Grade right now. His Runeweaver Profession had hit Level 50 instantly when he first got it because he was too excellent a Rune Master in the F-Grade.

But it hadn't moved an inch since.

The reason was obvious. Feats in the F-Grade were worthless to his now E-Grade Runeweaver Profession.

Unless he started accomplishing feats only E-Grade Rune Masters could, it would remain at Level 51.

That was also why he was still only using it on F-Grade Runes as well. Though, theoretically, he could start Weaving and Unravelling E-Grade Runes now, it would take too much out of him and his understanding of them wasn't deep enough to even try.

That said, because his Profession was E-Grade now, it made Weaving and Unravelling F-Grade Runes trivial.

"Come," Sylas said coldly.

All of a sudden, the aggressive Demonic Emperors became docile, their heads lowering as they had seen their true Emperor. They bowed and were obediently brought into the Hibernation Realm.

Jala gawked and Alex laughed. At the very least, Alex seemed quite well aware of what was going to happen—he had just been speaking to fuck with Jala. It seemed that it was well worth it.

Alex sighed, patting Jala on the shoulder. "I told you. The sooner you accept that this guy doesn't work by common reason and logic, the easier your days will become. I promise you."

Jala wanted to snap back, but just didn't have the energy to.

This was beyond just merely not working by common logic and reason. He had practically broken the physics of this world.

Those were E-Grade powerhouses with a step into the D-Grade. This didn't make any sense.

What made even less sense was that Sylas didn't seem to be done in the slightest.

After he caught his breath and replenished his Will, he summoned the three of them and his Beast Totem once again.

The three colored Demonic Emperors roared and the mountain range shook.

Beacon took root and called the Serpentes forth.

The effects of Beacon usually allowed Sylas to take temporary control over a large number of Serpentes. When it had been F-Grade ones, this was easy. But now that it was E-Grade Serpentes, he was practically calling for an army to come and kill him…

Until now.

These Serpentes had already been under the rule of these three Demonic Emperors and feared them as such. That meant that if Sylas used their presence to his benefit, and activated Beacon at the same time, he could cull their urge to defy him and suddenly the entire mountain range of Demonic Serpentes would be under his control.

Heaving out a breath, Sylas stood on the back of the Hollow Wing.

"Let's go. We don't have time to waste."

Alex's gaze flickered and he finally became a hint serious.

Sylas was right. There was no telling what was happening to Megean right about now, and if they delayed and she died, the stakes were much higher than just that alone.

They had both deduced it already. Old Brama had been disingenuous.

If the core of this Split Realm was centered around the entry of a Golden Champion, then that meant that there was no getting out of here if they didn't save Megean.

If Megean died, the Demons would win, and the path out would be controlled by them. If they wanted out, they not only had to save Megean, but they had to defeat the Demons in this replay of a war that had likely occurred countless millennia ago.

It was rare that Sylas was tricked, but he couldn't be blamed.

He knew too little about this world.

However, it would hardly matter if he stepped out and gained a C-tier existence as his personal slave.

The difference would be that unlike in the Milky Way where he couldn't use Old Brama, in this Sector, Old Brama would have no choice but to do exactly as he said, when he said it.

Having that sort of trump card in his back pocket would be precisely what he needed.

It wouldn't be long before Old Brama realized that the cost he paid for having a chance to save his granddaughter was exceptionally heavy.

And the entire Sector that was in the process of looking for Sylas right this moment would feel that quite soon as well.

**

In a battlefield covered in golden fog and dull lights, Megean sat in her centaur form, huffing for breath as she struggled to keep the bow in her hand from clattering to the floor.

'It's impossible…' she thought. '… There's just no way… Ancestor believed that this was something we could clear now…'

Despair colored her features.
