[Rewards]
[> Glassvolt Cryst][> Glassvolt Cryst Emperor (Gene Class) (Legendary) (D)]
Two sets of rewards appeared before Sylas-one of the E-tier, and another of the D-tier.
The multiplier reward had, quite literally, multiplied things. But it didn't just add a second set-it improved them. Because of this, Sylas wouldn't need to clear an E-Grade Gene Class Evolution Quest. And, if that was the case, and his second Class asked him to clear the same requirements, then it basically meant that his path to D-tier was practically free and clear.
His only worry would be making sure the foundation of his Race was properly excavated-and his Professions as well, of course. His Rune Mastery was obviously a part of that equation, but that was never something he worried about. If he focused on E-tier Rune Mastery for a few weeks, he felt that he could bring it to the same level as his F-tier Rune Mastery due to how solid his foundation was now.
He honestly didn't believe he would have any problems improving his Rune Mastery even without focused effort on it until he reached the B-tier.
The only problem with that way of viewing things was the fact that he didn't want to stay at this level. There was more to be had.
He didn't just want to be better than Mortals, or just better than Demi-Gods... he wanted to leave even Gods in his dust. But there was certainly no Mortal Power that existed that could give him the knowledge he needed to do that.
For that, he would need to aim higher.
That aside, it had to be remembered that while Sylas had built a new Race, it was only perfect up to the limit of the F-tier. He would need to continue refining the Grimblade's Path until it was perfect at every tier.
And he still hadn't managed to spend enough time on Reaper Sealwright to improve it beyond Level 0. That was also a problem.
He was also quite sure that the Quest to evolve Reaper Sealwright would be absolutely ridiculous if his Quests to evolve Vipermancy and Runeweaver were anything to go by.
That said, that Profession Quest had definitely been an anomaly and the product of the All-Seeing Eye having a grudge with the actions he took against it. It was far from normal. His next Profession Quests for them would certainly be far easier... if his luck held up.
But so far, these rewards were excellent.
Sylas chose to unlock the Menace Reward next, not quite sure what to expect from something titled like that.
Somehow, the system almost seemed oddly playful right now, and that wasn't something that Sylas was used to seeing. Was he seeing a different side of the system with the Madness Glutton Key gone? Or was it something else?
[Menace Reward Options]
[> Lay Claim to Seeing Eye Sector's Dominus Paragon Title][> Lay Claim to Seeing Eye Sector's Primus Luminaria Title][> Lay Claim to Seeing Eye Sector's Primus Imperium Title] —
Sylas raised an eyebrow.
It seemed that this reward was exceptionally, very accurately titled. Clearly, the system had a sense of humor he'd never seen before. But even so, giving him such an option was quite insane.
He took the Primus Luminaria Title without hesitation. It didn't take him much thought at all.
Dominus Paragon wouldn't make much of a difference for him. This reward wasn't giving him the option to have two such Titles. And even if he did, he wouldn't receive a double stack bonus from it, from his understanding.
And honestly, again, even if he did, he didn't even want it. His Mental stats detected so much better now that two of them were tied to his Will. Having Wisdom in the billions or trillions didn't appeal to him. His Wisdom stat was already so empty, he didn't need an even larger vacant feeling.
The Primus Imperium Title, though... that one would be stacked. It would give him the Primus Imperium Title of the Milky Way Sector and the Seeing Eye Sector, essentially making him a Tier 2 Primus Imperium, which would allow him to absorb D-Grade Genes at the F-tier, along with a whole host of other abilities.
But, while Sylas could basically guarantee that he would keep his Milky Way Sector Primus Imperium Title once he progressed to E-tier thanks to all the improvements he had made, he would be a fool to hope the same for this second one.
He would lose it basically immediately, and while there might be some benefit to holding it short-term, the benefits of having Primus Luminaria well outweighed it.
While Primus Luminaria couldn't be stacked, having the Primus Luminaria Title of the Seeing Eye Sector meant that Sylas' ability to cancel out other Rune Masters just became countless times more powerful.
Because of the way Primus Luminaria worked, it would be the most effective on Rune Masters born and trained in the Sector the Title was granted. Then, it would weaken the further away from this Sector one got.
Having their Primus Luminaria Title was basically giving Sylas the debuff over any Rune Masters of the Seeing Eye Guild. And because the Weaver Guild was so close to it, he could hit them with this ability too, albeit to a weaker extent.
In addition, because Primus Luminaria couldn't be stacked, Sylas vacated the Title in the Milky Way, making way for his sister, who would now receive it. Thanks to this, she would gain the ability to draw Runes above her level and gain an extra level of protection as well.
As far as Sylas saw it, this was certainly the best decision.
This was especially since, though this Menace Reward didn't allow him to stack Primus Luminaria, he could earn Primus Luminaria again. He just needed another epiphany.
And recently, he had grasped a new piece of his Archon Casting; he just hadn't refined it yet. If he ever needed Primus Luminaria in another Sector... he could take it whenever he pleased.
