Chapter 1784: Dominus [Bonus]

[Primus Luminaria (Contested Title)]

[The light at the end of the tunnel, the spark in the essence of life. A Rune Master of this Title is not just one who comprehends the most, or understands the most, but one who sets out the path for the future. You have pushed the envelope and stand at the peak of Spark Mastery.] [+50% Success in drawing ALL Runes]

[Draw Runes one Grade above your Will]

The formation of Primus Luminaria was like a slingshot that covered for the weaknesses Sylas had remaining. From just a sliver away from success, it all snapped together.

Enlightenment flooded Sylas.

[Dominus Paragon Title Detected. Would you like to abandon your current Milky Way Sector Dominus Paragon Title for the Kaelthar Sector Dominus Paragon Title?] [Yes][No]

[Yes]

[Dominus Paragon (Legendary) (Contested Title)]

[The power of your mind has been displayed and acknowledged. In this Sector, you are the undisputed best, carrying within yourself insight, sharpness, and wit that stands beyond all others. A wiseman beyond wisemen, an intellectual beyond scholars, a powerhouse of strategy and technical skill that strikes fear in your enemies.] [+1000% Mental]

Sylas' Wisdom plummeted into an abyss before it suddenly slingshotted back upward. There was a wild rubberbanding effect taking place deep within his body and his mind. But it was like he hadn't noticed at all, his entire being focused on the multi-brains laid out before him.

The obelisk shook.

Originally, Sylas had planned to lean on the obelisk in order to learn Old Brama's legacy as quickly as possible. He thought that by the time he finished, he would only have a small piece of it left.

But in action, Sylas had ended up using a lot less than he expected.

Of course, the Omnimous was aware of why. Sylas' mind had been constantly unlocking as he progressed, so his own personal ability to learn and adapt was increasing faster than the Omnimous could even keep up. As a result, there was a vast well of the shard's energy left.

Sylas had planned to use over 90% of it, but in the end, he hadn't even used 10%.

That was perfect. Because right now... he needed it more than ever.

The obelisk could help him do one highly important thing: take a peek into the future state of something, allowing him to accelerate how hastily he learned it.

However, this had a great weakness. Sylas couldn't use it alongside another treasure because the obelisk was far too volatile. It would have shredded both Call of the Titan and A-Grade Medley apart. So, it was impossible for Sylas to use it on anything that wasn't raw knowledge.

For him to use the obelisk, it would have to work in conjunction with Call of the Titan. By comparison, with the Omnimous, it was external to Sylas' learning process. He didn't have to commune with the Omnimous to learn from it; using it was similar to reading a book.

While the Omnimous was like reading a book, Call of the Titan was taking a more hands-on approach, manipulating and changing Sylas' mind itself.

Because the obelisk would have to do the same, they would inevitably clash.

But now the situation was different. Because of everything that happened, Sylas had managed to take control of things himself. First he took control of A-Grade Medley's Runes, turning it into a bridge to protect himself from the speed with which Call of the Titan was working.

Sylas strained until he just barely managed to slow Call of the Titan enough that it stopped completely. Then, the moment he felt his Wisdom rebounding upward, shooting up until it multiplied by a factor of ten... He poured every single ounce of energy from the obelisk into himself. Or rather... he took on as much as he physically could.

At the same time, he slammed his mutated Will-Mind Gene into his chest, and a flood of insight shook his mind.

Sylas had been given Dominus Paragon in this Sector not because of his successful claim on Dominus Paragon, but instead because the system had sensed out the path of his plan... And it knew it was feasible.

Dominus Paragon gave a huge boost to Mental stats, a full 1000%. But those stats were far too empty to be put to any great use. Even after reaffirming his foundation so much, Sylas' Mental Stats hadn't budged a single inch. Instead, they had become more "full" and meaningful.

What Sylas needed now was a Wisdom that wasn't empty. He wanted every single bit of those stats, and he wanted every point to be worth ten times more than it should.

So, he prepared himself.

He flooded his mind with a perfect comprehension of Wisdom, drilling himself with the defined separations between it, Intelligence, and Charisma.

Then, to complete the last piece he needed, he attempted a fusion of them all. Fusing Intelligence and Charisma into Will was easy enough because he already had the Willborne version of both, but to balance it with Wisdom was near impossible. And he didn't have the time to perfectly figure it out, especially without a reference to rely on.

So instead, he cast each one into being using his Rune Mastery, then used his Void comprehension to force them to fuse together.

It was as he had already noticed before... The Void would be the secret to understanding the layers of his body. This was something he had grasped during his entrance exam to join the Weaver Guild.

In a lot of ways... the Void's ability to understand the state of nothingness and how it connected everything was precisely the Path of Rune Mastery most suited to fusing Runes that shouldn't be fused.

But even Void Rune Mastery wasn't enough to do this. Sylas knew that he had high odds of failure-too high for his liking. So... He triggered the birth of Primus Luminaria in a new Sector.

Everything had a lag to it. In the brief instant between accepting a new Primus Luminaria Title and rejecting another, they perfectly stacked... And from a +50% Success Rate, the system was forced to give Sylas +50% stacked twice over for a total of 75%.

Sylas alone was more than enough to cover the remaining 25%. In fact, it was probably overkill. He had no need for +75% odds of success. Even 50% was probably too much.

But he had already made the mistake of overlooking something seemingly small and insignificant before. If there was one thing about Sylas...

It was that he would never make the same mistake twice.

And now, this Gene that Sylas had cheated to fully form was flooding him with its insights on exactly what it meant not just to have Willborne Charisma, or Willborne Intelligence, or even just Willborne Wisdom... It was teaching him just what it meant to have a Willborne Mind.

And all the while... the crimson lightning was rampaging through his brain, forcing him to a see a state where these stats were no longer empty, but very much real and true.

BOOM.

Madness flooded out of Sylas and suddenly his Willborne stats were increased once again. If +75% wasn't enough for him, +1000% certainly wouldn't be enough.

And now that his Mental Stats had increased by +10,000%.

Since the universe wanted to push him to an extreme, he would show them what it meant to truly be a Dominus

Paragon.

And as he did so, the Kaelthar were forced to be witness to his greatness.
