Chapter 1800: SYLAS GRIMBLADE!
Chapter 1800: SYLAS GRIMBLADE!
Sylas didn't lift a single finger. It seemed that Gogo really did have a lot of frustration to vent out, so he just let him, following behind with seemingly slow steps that shrunk the earth beneath his feet like his own personal walking strip.
Much like the first time Sylas had been in the Layered Dungeon, the beasts weren't all that powerful. In the E-tier Dungeons, they had been E+ and EE- beasts in the vast majority of cases. And those were measured by the limitations of the Milky Way Sector.
In the D-tier version, it was much the same, most being D+ and DD-. Much like in the E-tiers, there were the rare few DDs that appeared as well, and they gave Gogo some pause, but he seemed to like this all the more.
The real worry was what would happen outside of here.
Sylas hadn't been able to see any stats the first time he entered at all. He had thought that things would change this time, but the situation seemed to be the exact same.
This made him wonder if the Secret Realm of the Golden Grove was adjusting on its own. It produced him further wonder how it was deciding to adjust and what was triggering it.
Regardless, at least for now, everything seemed to remain consistent.
If he pulled on his memories, unlike the situation in this linked Dungeon, the Noble Demons hadn't even had measurements for their talent level.
The Duchess...
Because of Sylas' actions back then, the Duchess had undergone a truly shocking evolution. To have called her a DDD+ didn't really do it justice—much the same way Sylas wasn't a mere FFF+. It was just that the system didn't seem to like to give humanoids rankings above this level.
This was all to say that while Sylas could get a feel for the strength of those he had faced back then, he didn't have any solid proof of their limits... almost like they didn't quite have any.
Unfortunately, Vipermancer was still in the E-grade, so he wouldn't be controlling any dragon-like serpents this time. But if all went well... he wouldn't have to.
After all, back in the E-tier dungeon, he had set up a plan. He hadn't planned on having to pull on that root so early, but if Rhykan wanted to play, they could play.
It just might be the case that after pushing Reaper Sealwright so far, he just might have the tools he needed to succeed early.
The world warped around Sylas and when he appeared again, he was standing high above a familiar raging ocean. Gogo was right beneath him, howling to the skies. Blood coated the giant guy's body, but his eyes were glowing with an insatiable crimson that didn't seem to be going anywhere.
In a far-off distance, a beauty touched by the Heavens themselves suddenly opened her eyes. Her skin tone was icy, and yet somehow also looping with the warmth of caramel. Her lips were as bold as blood, and her hair-a simple black-ebbed and flowed with shimmering shadows and curving lights that made it look as layered as a waterfall.
At that moment, a flood of memories shook her to her core and she quickly looked down at her lower half.
Fury lit her eyes as she touched her crotch and noticed something missing that should have never been.
BOOM.
She vanished from where she sat without a single word to anybody, but it hardly seemed to matter whether she did say anything or not... not when she completely destroyed the roof of the place she called home.
Sylas continued to stand on Gogo's back. He could already sense it coming-that aura that was impossibly strong.
It was exactly as he expected: after the E-tier version of the Duchess awakened her True Blood, so too did the D- tier. But it wasn't until Sylas appeared here that everything that happened in the E-tier Golden Battlefield was transferred here one to one.
So as that aura grew closer, it was also increasing in power, memories layering into her mind until-
BOOM.
Sylas saw the commotion long before he saw the woman. The horizon in the distance exploded into motes of silver and black as though a nebula of spacetime had ruptured.
The Duchess was moving so fast that space couldn't withstand it, her power so unfathomable that the D-tier world constructed to hold her and her people couldn't manage it in the slightest.
Sylas wasn't 100% sure before, but now, laying eyes on her, he certainly did know for certain now:
She was way too powerful for him to deal with.
The worst part of this? Had he killed her in the E-tier Dungeon, none of what he had done would transfer over here and she would be tens of times weaker. But for some reason, he had chosen to do the exact opposite.
Gogo roared.
Even in his current state, Gogo didn't stand a chance against the Duchess either. But logic and reality didn't seem to faze the big guy. His Pride was on the verge of awakening completely, and even in the face of death, he didn't care to back down in the slightest.
What was holding him back from true Legendary status certainly wasn't foundation or mentality any longer. It was something unknown and intangible.
"SYLAS GRIMBLADE!" the Duchess howled in fury, her gorgeous features contorted in what should have been a witch-like countenance. But quite frankly... it was hard for a woman of such beauty to look terrible no matter the state of her expression. "DIE!"
She cocked back a fist and was about to punch when Sylas' lips slowly parted.
"That's enough."
It was a simple two words, but a Crown appeared high above Sylas' head. The aura of an Ancestor of a Royal Hero Line pulsed from him, and the Duchess' True Blood suddenly ran ice cold.
Her power plummeted, and caught off guard, she couldn't even react to Gogo's tail whip.
She was slapped right into the ocean.
