Chapter 1926: Watch
Chapter 1926: Watch
Deacon tried to reply, but instead he coughed up more chips of blood and bone.
Keyesen wasn't even paying that much attention to him anymore. A sliver of emerald lightning had already slipped into the Emperor Dove's body. He would suffer greatly for another few days, then suddenly keel over like he should.
'This poison is quite useful. But I haven't managed to improve it to the E-tier and D-tier yet. If I can just manage to finish forming my God Beast Body, I might be able to use the momentum of the enlightenment to catch a glimpse of what I want.'
The better he integrated with the F-tier Legendary Rune he stole from that Scorpion Warlord, the more he realized just how amazing it was.
Of course, he also felt that he could have made something so great if he had had the necessary patience back when he was a young boy. But he had been given his second chance so he planned on grabbing the bull by the horns.
"This is the last time I spare your brother, Bella. If there's a next time, I will take his head."
"Yes, yes, of course." Bella said quickly. "Don't be mad anymore, Sen Sen."
Keyesen smiled, grabbing a handful of Bella's ass the moment she stood up. She jolted a bit and then blushed from head to toe.
"How could I stay mad at you?" he said, whispering into her ear.
Bella's ears practically had steam coming out of them and she quickly pushed Keyesen away.
"I have to-I have to take care of my brother. I will be back."
Bella hurried to Deacon's side again and lifted him up, rushing her brother away.
Keyesen watched her ass jiggle into the distance, sharply feeling that he should have killed Deacon outright for interrupting. Now he needed something to vent his frustration on.
His gaze swept through the surroundings, but most people who weren't strong enough were minding their own business. They were too smart and pretended as though they hadn't seen anything at all.
There was no one dumb enough to look directly at him...
Until he saw Bulese, the Lion Emperor Heiress, looking at him with a look of disgust on her face.
Keyesen's eyes narrowed. Normally, he would be very wary of this girl. She not only came from a higher Lineage, but she was exceptionally talented as well.
But Keyesen could feel that he was on the verge of entering the realm of God Beasts, not to mention entering the C-tier as well. In addition, the Emperor Sanctum was in an era of chaos.
Who was to say the four main Lineages would remain the four main Lineages? There could very well be room for the Scorpion Lineage to wipe clean all the humiliation they had experienced in the past and rise to the level they had always meant to be.
"What are you looking at?" he asked coldly. "Do you want to jump into my bed too?"
Bulese's brows shot right up when she heard this, her golden hair dancing.
"What did you just say to me?"
"Was I not clear enough?" Keyesen asked. "You look quite good."
His illusory Scorpion Tail flickered behind him.
Bulese took a step forward and in an instant, she was right in front of Keyesen. However, just as her armor was about to form, sparks of emerald manifested and countered her Will before it could properly communicate with the world.
Keyesen took a step back, decreasing the momentum and then suddenly reached forward and grabbed her waist, sweeping her up with a grin on his face.
"If you wanted to be in my arms so badly, you don't have to rush. I don't mind taking things slow."
Bulese's eyes widened. She was all too familiar with that emerald lightning. She had only seen it on one person.
As knowledgeable as she was, she couldn't recall ever having read about this lightning anywhere else.
Half of the reason she was stopped so easily was because the lightning was, indeed, powerful when tacked as an add-on to Keyesen's usual poison. But 70% of the reason was Bulese's surprise.
"You-!" Bulese realized her waist had been grabbed by Keyesen and her fury spiked. She pressed both palms against his chest and pushed.
BOOM.
Despite the shockwave, Keyesen only took a few steps back, chuckling all the while.
"Feisty." He stated with a grin.
"That lightning is not yours, how did you get it?" Bulese asked coldly.
Keyesen's smile dropped. "What did you just say to me?"
Suddenly, Bulese began to put certain things together.
"... Your Scorpion Lineage. You've been lying all this time. This wasn't related to the traitor at all, was it?"
Keyesen's pupils constricted into pinholes.
"Watch what you say, woman."
"Watch what I say? Or what? You stroll around like you're a God Beast already when you don't even have a fraction of the power of one. Who do you think you are?"
Keyesen stared at Bulese for a long while, and then he grinned.
He walked forward, brushing past her.
"I'll remember this." He said indifferently. "Next time you want to come forward with accusations, do so with real proof. Otherwise, I won't need an excuse to take your head once I've become a God Beast."
Bulese held her tongue. She almost said something she shouldn't have.
'Not if my brother becomes one first.'
Bulese looked into the distance and she almost wanted to thank Sylas. Her brother had been even lazier than Keyesen in the past. But right now, he was working harder than anyone else.
Kalem and Keyesen were far from the only two standing at the God Beast door.
However, if her speculations were right and the Scorpion Lineage really was lying about everything... This could lead to a scandal no less big than the one that kicked them out of the original five main Lineages... **
Gogo came to a stop, shooting down from the skies and stopping just before he hit the earth.
Up ahead, a golden lake brimmed with life and vitality. However...
The aura of an A-tier beast was all over it.
