Chapter 2064: Already Started

Chapter 2064: Already Started

The obvious answer was the Dungeon mutation. But something about that answer felt too simple to Sylas.

What could a Dungeon mutation allow? A greater challenge? Potentially greater rewards?

The answer still seemed too simple.

There was one reason that left Sylas feeling this the most strongly. All he had done was attack the creature by accident and it had woken up, but they spoke about waiting all this time for this to happen.

If it was that easy to wake it up, why didn't they just attack it themselves?

'Ah. I see.'

Ultimately, it clicked as Sylas stopped looking at the portals as individuals but rather the sum of a whole. If the frequencies of them were pulled together, they would be very reminiscent of one thing... Demi-God.

That was why it had woken up. Sylas' telekinesis was tinged with Demi-Godhood, and he had used it to attack the man leering at him. The result was the creature completing its evolution long ahead of the time it should.

Were they just hoping that the creature eventually swallowed enough Dungeons that it would eventually mutate a Demi-God one into existence?

Sylas honestly didn't expect to stumble into something like this here. His top priority was still the Glutton. But... 'This will cause a big change.'

These three had made it here instantly, but they had only been the right combination of acting the fastest and being the nearest. But right now Sylas could sense a continuous rolling amount of changes in the atmosphere, almost like portals were... sparring.

'They're fighting for space.'

Thousands, then tens of thousands, then more beyond that were trying to make a connection with the planet they were on. But there was only so much the space could bend.

This many teleportations happening at the same time would put the world in trouble of being ripped to pieces. So not only was the world itself trying to limit things, but the fail safes of the teleportation channels on the other side were doing the same thing.

Because of that, it was like an all-out jousting session where several portals would try and position themselves to be the first and end up cancelling each other out.

Eventually the first few would get through, but there was no doubt that the priority would be to those with the most robust teleportation methods.

Sylas' eyes narrowed. There were very few with better teleportation methods than the Weaver Guild. If he got them here, it would be a great boon for them.

The question was if their trust in him was enough to risk offending the Thryskai. If Sylas had to bet on which Clans or organization would have the most representation here, it could only be one.

A roar echoed and a giant of a man ripped a path out. The moment Sylas noticed the blue hands and felt the whipping cold winds, he knew exactly who had just succeeded.

The Royal Blue Trolls of the Seeing Eye Guild.

'They didn't use stability, they used overwhelming power.'

Logically, the Weaver Guild should have been amongst the first to succeed. But the Seeing Eye Guild was far more desperate. They had beaten everyone else out by pouring more Aether into their formation than any of the others.

They might not be a guild of Rune Masters, but they were a guild of Aether Masters. There were probably no formations in the entire Mortal Realm better suited to adapting a large amount of Aether than the formations of the Seeing Eye Guild.

BOOM.

They landed on the ground heavily. There were just two of them, or so it seemed.

The twin pair of Royal Blue Trolls were both dressed identically. Silver braces with intricate depictions of war carved into them covered their enormous wrists and ankles, each one wearing chain-link skirts and leaving the rest of their bodies bare.

On their shoulders, however, there was a different scene.

One of them held a pair of Sachi. They had the digitigrade feet of foxes, and their beautiful peacock tails danced in the wind as though each pattern was a separate eye of its own, looming menacingly and gripping at the Aether in the air as though it was their own to have.

The other held a pair of Golmara, Salivar's Race. Their skin was a pale green to grey, etched in complex gold and silver patterns that raised above their skin almost like burnt scars.

Sylas' eyes narrowed. These six were powerful, far more powerful than the representatives that had shown up at The Sanctum.

In fact, Sylas could tell something shocking immediately.

Not only were all six of them at the pinnacle of the C-tier, but they were all Cryst Emperors.

Every one of them.

Sylas knew that most of the Cryst Emperors that the Seeing Eye Guild had were far stronger than Salivar. In fact, he had gotten lucky finding a Cryst Emperor that weak in the first place.

But even so, there shouldn't have been so many of them.

There was only one logical conclusion.

'They came from the Cryst Heaven. They're here already, the invasion has already started.'

All six of them looked at Sylas at the same time.

Aether thrummed around them, ripping into the surroundings and disrupting further teleportation all the more.

The two Sachi leapt into the air, each pressing a single palm together until they were high in the skies.

Their palms separated slightly, an orb forming between them.

Chi.

The orb cracked and the entire world instantly fell into silence. All of the attempts at teleportation or further were unceremoniously cut off. Sylas couldn't sense the slightest fluctuation any longer. In fact, he felt that even he was having trouble pulling on the space in the surroundings.

"Well, this isn't good, now is it?" Deuvuo said with a chuckle. "It seems we might be cooked, queen bee. You know what we should do at a time like this, right? I can't possibly die a virgin."

"If you're a virgin I have a cock between my legs." Juxi said coldly. But she, too, was looking at the members of the Seeing Eye Guild with worry creasing her brows even more than her Skai Eye did.
