Chapter 357: Like? [Bonus]
Chapter 357: Like? [Bonus]
Cassarae crossed her arms over her chest, her steely blue eyes practically boring holes into Sylas’ own.
“I guess that’s true,” Sylas eventually replied, standing to his full height.
Cassarae couldn’t help but sneer. “What’s that? You have a little bit of power now and your balls finally dropped? You want the both of us, is that it?”
Sylas’ lip curled slightly. It was probably the closest thing to a smile that anyone would ever get, and to Cassarae, that small curl was practically Sylas laughing out loud. She remembered always getting a rise out of him doing that because it meant she had said something funny.
Of course, she knew the real circumstances about what happened and wouldn’t be mad about such a thing. Rather, this anger was entirely due to their last interaction.
Since Sylas had given her such a weakness to grab onto, why wouldn’t she take it?
“Is that jealousy?”
“It could be, if I cared enough,” Cassarae sneered. “Instead, it’s mostly just pity. You haven’t even finished trying to get into my pants and you’ve already fumbled the bag this hard.”
“I wouldn’t summarize it like that,” Sylas said, still amused.
“Oh? What are you going to do? Force yourself into my bed with that strength you’re so proud of?”
“Is that why you’re sharing a room with Olivia now? Scared I’ll pounce on you? Shouldn’t you have brought your guards here, then?”
“Fuck you, Sylas,” Cassarae hid a slightly embarrassed tinge on her cheek with a curse. That was indeed part of the reason, but it wasn’t her idea. It was Olivia’s insistence.
However, Cassarae knew that Sylas would never do such a thing, and though Olivia had known Sylas for a much shorter time, she was probably aware of this as well.
The real reason Olivia had done this was to play cockblock as payback. Sylas had gotten her back good, and now the two were in a petty war. Right now, Olivia just might be up with this chess move.
At some unknown time, Sylas had already approached to within a foot of Cassarae, but her pride was far too great to take a step back. Plus, while she had a lot of emotions for Sylas, none of them were embarrassment or fear.
Sylas’ eyes bounced back and forth between her own as though he was trying to see something. After a long while, he took something out.
“Here. Try this on and let me see.”
Cassarae half thought it was going to be lingerie. But her eyes widened when she saw that it was armor, and widened even further when she saw its stats.
She hurriedly pushed Sylas into the room and slammed the door behind them, her breath slightly quick.
She had just been about to reject because she had Maya’s armors to wear. But this… this…
Having already learned about the weakness of Sylas’ Scorned Wraps, she knew why he was giving this to her. But it still made her heart race rapidly.
In this apocalypse, this sort of gift was probably better than any flowers. Adding to that the fact that Cassarae never liked such a useless gift to begin with and her heart was practically doing cartwheels.
“This is just a temporary gift. I will likely need to take it back in the future because I’ll need it for my battle pet’s evolution.”
Cassarae blinked. “You have a Combat Mount?”
“Not exactly. But it’s probably not too far from the truth.”
Combat Mounts could not only be used in battle, but in addition to Speed and Dexterity stats, the most common of them scaled with your Strength and Constitution as well. As for the rarest of them, they could scale even with some Mental stats.
By comparison, Sylas’ “Combat Mount” didn’t scale with his own stats at all. But that actually only helped the Basilisk King.
After her excitement faded, Cassarae rolled her eyes and gave Sylas a look.
“‘Try this on and let me see,’ huh?” Cassarae clicked her tongue. “When’d you become so shameless.”
She held up what would certainly be a skin-tight armor, looking as though she wanted Sylas to give her an explanation.
“I’d like to see you in it,” Sylas replied honestly.
Cassarae sneered. She had expected that response. Sylas didn’t do embarrassment… well, unless it was in front of her father. But somehow she doubted that that would work even now.
But she surprisingly agreed.
“Turn around.”
Sylas acquiesced and didn’t plan on using his visualization either. But what surprised him were Cassarae’s next words.
“Oh? You aren’t using your senses to peek? How gentlemanly.”
Sylas was confused at first, but then he remembered that Cassarae had a Luck value higher than one as well. She may have unlocked a visualization as well and was probably able to sense his own and block it somewhat.
That meant that she had been well aware that he was watching her earlier and still took her sweet time.
A troublesome woman indeed.
“Okay, you can turn around now.”
Sylas’ eyes flickered.
A troublesome woman? Yes. In more ways than one.
She stood there with a hand on her hips. As expected, the armor had shaped to fit her perfectly, hugging her curves. It pinched down on her slim waist and rounded her proud bust. If there had been any imperfections before—something Sylas doubted—the armor certainly hid them well.
Cassarae walked to Sylas and put a hand on his shoulder, her other hand still resting on her hip as she cocked it to one side.
“Like what you see?”
Sylas looked her up and down as a fire lit within him. But he still calmly nodded.
She leaned forward and whispered into his ear. “You want a harem of me, don’t you?”
“If I could clone you, why not?” Sylas said with his half-smile.
“Oh? You don’t want a horde of women following after you now that you’ve finally found your dick and balls? What happened to: ‘those who stand in my way die’?”
“I’d have to want something for it to be considered standing in my way.”
Cassarae was a bit surprised when she heard this. It didn’t make much sense. She had thought that Sylas had just become an outright chauvinist… or was he just saying that to say what she wanted to hear?
No… he doesn’t have that bone in his body.
After a while, Cassarae chuckled. “Well, if you wanted a taste of this ass, you should have taken it when you had a chance. Now you don’t have it anymore.”
Cassarae gave Sylas’ crotch a light pat, then stepped away to slip some more clothes on before vanishing down the corridor.
It was a long while before Sylas managed to calm the heat scorching through his veins.
It seemed that Guiz City was about to have a bad time… because he would need to vent this somewhere.
