Chapter 526: Breather [Bonus]
Chapter 526: Breather [Bonus]
Sylas nodded to himself when he saw the skills he gained. He was especially fond of the attack Skill.
[Woodland Frost Spike (FFF-) (Skill)]
[Damage: 300]
[Special Damage: 80/sec for 5 seconds]
[Attribute: Wood-Ice-Poison]
It wasn't anything crazy, but it was far better than <Chilling Scythe> was, and even far better than <Chilling Scythe Mutant> by a large margin as well.
This should be the skill that had pierced through his lung. If it was going to almost take his life, it had better be powerful.
And from what he could tell, the synergy between this attack Skill and the Domain Skill was incredible. The attack he had suffered through his chest was definitely far greater than 300 Damage. 300 Damage alone wouldn't even make it through his Aether skin, let alone damage him to that extent.
Of course, the 300 Damage limit here was just referring to a Fragmented Mastery. It would probably be upwards of a 1000 Damage once it reached Legendary.
Still, Sylas was quite sure that with the Woodland Frost Domain activated, the power would at least be 50% greater.
While he was observing the Skills, Sylas could feel the changes to his body as well.
The first time he advanced his Class, he had been in a terrible state triggered by consuming too many Elixirs, so the process had been particularly painful. This time, due to the fact he was in relatively decent health and now had the Dual Class Constitution, it was smooth sailing.
He could feel his Stat Limits wanting to loosen, and he bet that if he went back to his original training regimen, the one he had teased out thanks to Olivia, he could gain a few dozen extra stats points with relative ease.
However, he wasn't sure if he had the time for that.
The moment Sylas had this thought, he paused. He closed his eyes, took a breath, and then exhaled slowly.
'No. I need to take a breather.'
There were many things he wanted to do.
Return to Casstle Main, revenge against Lucius, making sure his family was safe, completing the Rune Enlightenment Chain Quest...
However, not a single one of those things could be done with immediacy.
He was across the ocean from the nearest portal to Casstle Main he knew of, Lucius was definitely not an existence he could handle casually, and he had no idea where he was in relation to the exact location of the final destination of his Rune Enlightenment Chain Quest.
If he just started running around, he would be effectively wasting his time.
Not to mention the fact his stats were still halved currently; the system was out to get him. He had a Silver Demerit to his name that would ensure anywhere he stepped just might be the last death trap he fell into.
Rushing was going to get him nowhere.
When he changed his perspective, he relaxed somewhat.
'I have seven months before the timer for my Mancer Quest runs out. Cassarae is facing the same timeline for hers. I took too long to find a Level 20 beast; if I could manage to find a Level 30 one in my Woodland Territory, that would be ideal.
'There's also the matter of my Comprehension. With my Dual Class Constitution, I can fuse with a second one, and the Fusion Crystal can allow me to take on a third one. I haven't put nearly as much effort into this.
'This region is also one that I can sense is ideal for the growth of the Bone-Tailed Lizard. There are many poisonous beasts in the region, and the odds that I can find a Level 30 creature of the Mancer Path worth the upgrade and help the infant beast progress at the same time is high.'
Sylas realized that he needed to strike a balance.
He was basically invincible in this region, and his ability to progress here would be much faster. He also had direct access to the Africor Continent, which should be the location where he would complete the last leg of his Rune Enlightenment Quest as well, according to all his research.
It would be foolish of him to not take advantage of improving here as quickly as possible. With the City Stele Ability at his fingertips, he could find all the best resources in the region and plunder them for himself.
'I will give myself exactly one month of time.'
It would be the longest "downtime" Sylas had spent since the Summoning had come down. Well, it would be if he ignored the time he spent in the Grimblade family waiting around for the "draft." But even that had only been a week or so at most.
There would be another benefit to this choice of his as well, and that was the fact he could keep this Nexus.
A Nexus was a hub that was meant to allow communication and exchange between those on a world. Although lower Grade Nexuses couldn't communicate with higher Grade ones, the vice versa was possible.
Meaning, Sylas could very well use this Silver Grade Nexus to establish a line of connection with Casstle Main and get an understanding of what was happening over there as well. In fact, he would even be able to use a function he had never had the time for before and even meet with Cassarae within the Nexus.
Although they would just be projections of one another, a small arc still appeared on the corners of his lips. He was somewhat looking forward to it.
But maybe only as natural, there always seemed to be something acting on his life to make it more complicated. This time, however, it was something that Sylas had pretty much expected
to happen.
There was a rumble that shook the entire Woodland Territory.
Sylas knew exactly what it was the moment it was triggered.
The Woodland Territory was fusing with the sandy plains of the Africor Continent. With two System Cities conquered, it was inevitable.
