Chapter 324 Winter's Fall
Chapter 324 Winter's Fall
The following day after he got the message from the Umbra Collective, Silas finally made his move.
His first target was naturally the House of Ebon Frost. The family has gone overboard with their recent action of freezing up an entire village and its habitat.
After giving Luna instructions on what to do and about his family's safety—though his instructor were redundant as Luna had already taken care of everything—Silas set off.
He didn't take the plane as he flew to Europe directly. Silas has been holding back his strength since he completed his second evolution metamorphosises.
The reason for this was simple: He was fighting against normies and not Phenomenals like himself. But since the hidden families of Phenomenals has decided to challenge him, then he would respond in kinds.
He would let them know what true strength is. Yes, he was aware that these families have legacies and have spent years training, and honing their superpowers, but it meant very little to Silas. And this wasn't him being arrogant as he has the strength to back it up.
Also, Silas has already made preparations by bringing up all his stats to 1000—the limit needed for the next evolution metamorphosis. In addition to his physical strength, his superpower, Silas also has another ace up his sleeve: the Diamirite Suit.
The suit which is an equivalent to a walking nuclear weapon is more than enough for Silas to take care of these families.
No matter how much they have trained and honed their superpowers to bring it up to the current level, there's no way that any of them would be able to stand against the Silas even if he's just using the suit alone.
After stepping out of the underground facility, Silas leaped into the sky and immediately he was high enough, he willed the suit out.
The following moment, tiny, shimmering nanoparticles flowed outward like liquid metal, spreading rapidly across his body.
The particles movements were like it was almost alive, flowing seamlessly over his arms, shoulders, and legs.
Within seconds, the sleek grayish black armor materialized all over his body, forming the familiar contours of the suit.
Plates locked into place with smooth efficiency, accompanied by the soft whirr and clink.
The helmet unfolded around his head and the a black glass faceplate also materialized and an HUD display came up, completing the set up.
In a matter of seconds, the suit has enveloped Silas and he was ready to go. With a smile hidden by the faceplate, Silas controlled the air current around him, causing it to envelope his body and he shot towards Europe, to the location and base of operations of the House of Ebon Frost.
One would ask why Silas didn't take a plane and the reason was because Silas intends to show his full strength. He intends to crush their will even without raising a finger and what other way to do that than showing his full strength, and throwing them into despair.
It took Silas less than an hour of flying at full speed before he started seeing the outline of Europe from a distance.
Immediately, he increased his speed, tearing through the air with a loud booming sound.
A couple of minutes later, Silas was hovering over the freezing castle-like structure of the Ebon Frost family.
It didn't take long before his presence was noticed as he made sure to arrive with a bang, by causing a massive gust of wind to blow.
Everyone started coming out of the castle and in no time, the front of the building was filled with a crowd of people.
The chilling winds of Eastern Europe swirled around the icy fortress of the House of Ebon Frost, a structure that looked as if it had been carved from glaciers themselves. Silas hovered above it, the Diamirite Suit shimmering against the dim gray sky.
The crowd below stared at him, their expressions a mixture of fear, confusion, anger and defiance. Among them, a young man clad in an elaborate icy-blue coat stepped forward, his frosted breath visible in the cold air.
"Whoever you are," the man called out, his voice firm, "get down here and stop hovering above the territory of the Ebon Frost family."
Silas tilted his head, his voice cold and amplified by the suit. "Whoever I am? You know exactly who I am."
The crowd murmured uneasily, but the young man remained unfazed. "You are trespassing on sacred ground. Leave now, or face the consequences."
Silas chuckled darkly, the sound reverberating ominously through the air.
"Consequences? The only consequence you need to worry about is what happens when you freeze an entire village and kill innocent people. You call yourselves rulers, but all I see are cowards hiding behind ice and fear."
The young man's face hardened. "You dare mock the Ebon Frost family? Do you know how long we've ruled these lands? How many have tried and failed to challenge us?"
"Ruling through tyranny isn't power," Silas retorted, his voice growing sharper. "It's weakness."
Before the young man could respond, a commanding voice cut through the murmurs of the crowd. "Enough."
The crowd parted as Lady Selyna Frost, the matriarch of the House, stepped forward. Her silver hair gleamed like icicles, and her piercing blue eyes were colder than the frozen ground beneath her feet. She wore an ornate frost-covered cloak that seemed to shimmer with power.
The young man looked at the woman and opened his mouth to talk but was cut short immediately. Experience tales at My Virtual Library Empire
"Don't worry, son. I will take care of this," she said as she walked forward.
"Silas Kurt," she said, her tone calm but laced with authority. "You've come far to challenge us. But do not mistake our patience for weakness. This is your only warning: leave, or we will make you regret stepping into our domain."
Silas descended slowly, the thrusters of his suit hissing as he touched down on the frozen ground. The crowd tensed as the sheer weight of his presence became palpable, as Silas made sure release the aura of someone who has undergone two evolution metamorphosis.
"You won't have to regret anything when you're too broken to even think," Silas said coolly.
With this, Lady Selyna knew that there was no more needs for words. She immediately aised her hand, and the air around her seemed to freeze, becoming heavy with an unnatural chill.
The ground beneath Silas's feet crackled as frost began to spread outward in jagged lines, creeping toward him.
"Show him the power of the Frost," Selyna commanded.
Dozens of Phenomenals stepped forward, each wielding variations of cryokinetic power. Some conjured spears of ice, while others created massive frozen barriers.
The air filled with the sound of cracking ice as they attacked in unison, launching a storm of icy projectiles toward Silas.
Silas didn't flinch. With a thought, the Diamirite Suit activated a defensive barrier, shimmering with energy as the icy projectiles shattered harmlessly against it.
He raised his hand, manipulating the air currents around him, and unleashed a powerful gust of wind that sent the attackers sprawling backward like ragdolls.
"Is that all?" Silas asked, his voice calm but cutting.
One of the Phenomenals, a hulking man with icy armor encasing his body, charged forward with a massive frost-covered hammer. He swung it with immense force, aiming for Silas's head.
Silas sidestepped effortlessly, grabbing the man's arm mid-swing. With a single motion, he crushed the icy armor with his bare hand, the suit amplifying his strength to devastating levels. The man cried out in pain as Silas tossed him aside like a broken doll.
---
"Enough!" Lady Selyna's voice rang out like a sharp crack in the air. She raised both hands, and the temperature dropped sharply, the air itself freezing into razor-sharp shards of ice that hovered around her like deadly satellites. With a flick of her wrist, the shards shot toward Silas in a blinding flurry.
Silas smirked beneath his helmet. "Finally, someone worth my time."
He activated the suit's particle shield, and the shards disintegrated upon contact, turning into harmless mist.
Before Selyna could react, Silas surged forward with blinding speed, appearing in front of her in an instant.
She barely had time to conjure an icy barrier before Silas's fist, glowing with kinetic energy, smashed through it like glass.
The force sent her skidding back across the frozen ground, her cloak torn and her expression filled with shock.
"You've spent centuries honing your power," Silas said, his voice carrying over the battlefield. "But you're centuries behind me."
---
Seeing their matriarch falter, the remaining members of the Ebon Frost family rallied. A group of them formed a massive ice construct in the shape of a towering golem, its crystalline body glinting menacingly in the pale light.
The golem was impressive as it roared and charged at Silas, but that was all to it. Its icy fists slamming down with enough force to shatter the ground.
Silas leapt into the air, easily dodging the attack. The Diamirite Suit activated its plasma cannons, and twin beams of searing energy erupted from his palms, striking the golem square in the chest.
The construct exploded in a shower of ice shards, the ground trembling beneath the impact.
As expected, one by one, the family's Phenomenals fell. Their icy weapons shattered, their barriers crumbled, and their attacks were rendered useless against Silas's overwhelming strength.
---
Lady Selyna, battered but unbroken, rose to her feet. Her eyes burned with fury as she unleashed her full power.
The ground trembled as massive glaciers erupted from the earth, forming a deadly maze of ice. The air became so cold that even Silas's suit registered temperature warnings.
"You think you're untouchable?" Selyna snarled. "You think you can come here and destroy centuries of legacy? I will bury you beneath the Frost!"
Silas remained calm, even as the glaciers surged toward him. With a thought, he activated the Diamirite Suit's shockwave generator, sending a pulse of energy rippling outward. The glaciers shattered like brittle glass, their fragments falling harmlessly to the ground.
'Legacies my foot.'
Selyna staggered, her power draining rapidly. Silas appeared before her in a blur, grabbing her by the collar and lifting her off the ground.
"Your legacy ends here," he said coldly.
With a flick of his wrist, he hurled her into the frozen ground, the impact creating a massive crater. She lay there, defeated, as the remaining members of the Ebon Frost family watched in stunned silence.
---
Silas stood amidst the ruins of the once-mighty House of Ebon Frost, his suit glinting in the dim light.
The battlefield was silent except for the howling wind, the once-proud family now reduced to broken remnants.
He turned to the crowd of survivors, his voice echoing with authority.
"This is what happens when you abuse your power. Let this be a warning to the rest of the families: your reign of terror is over. If you challenge me, you will fall. If I get anymore reports of you guys running rampantly, I won't be so nice."
Without another word, Silas took to the skies, leaving the shattered fortress behind. As he flew away, the weight of what he had done settled on him. This was only the beginning.
The other families would hear of this, and they would come for him. But Silas didn't care. He would meet them all head-on.
The world needed order, and he would bring it—even if it meant tearing down every so-called legacy that stood in his way.
Let the world know that Silas Kurt is not to be messed with. For he is the embodiment of power!
