Getting A System In A Modern World

Chapter 331 Another War!

Chapter 331 Another War!

The words spoken at the summit had not yet faded when the first signs of change began to ripple across the hidden world of the Phenomenals families.

The alliances discussed in hushed tones at Lord Arcanis's table were no longer merely words. Forces were being marshaled, strategies devised, and the most powerful Phenomenals began preparing for war.

Far beneath the surface of an unassuming estate nestled in the Alps, Lady Selyna Frost convened her closest advisors in a vast, frost-covered hall.

The chill in the air mirrored her expression—cold and calculating. Her gaze lingered on a tab screen, showing Silas Kurt's face alongside data that highlighted his known capabilities and previous actions.

"We cannot approach him as individuals," she began, her voice cutting through the icy silence.

"Silas Kurt dismantled the Fang Clan with ease and humiliated their patriarch. If we are to succeed, we must strike together, and we must strike decisively."

One of her advisors, a towering man with crystalline skin, nodded. "What of the others? Will they honor their agreements?"

"Lord Arcanis has guaranteed their loyalty," Selyna replied, though a trace of doubt flickered in her eyes.

"But loyalty among Phenomenals is fleeting. We will proceed as if we are alone until proven otherwise."

"Do you truly believe we can defeat him?" another advisor asked cautiously.

Selyna's expression darkened. "Everyone can be defeated. Even Silas Kurt. The question is not if—it's how much we're willing to sacrifice."

Back at his base in Venezuela, Silas observed the world's movements with growing interest.

Drones and advanced surveillance systems provided him with a steady stream of information, revealing the beginnings of the Phenomenals families' coordinated efforts.

Luna's calm voice narrated the updates, but even she couldn't mask the tension that was building.

{Master, the Frost and Umbra families have deployed reconnaissance teams to monitor your movements. It appears they are coordinating with smaller Phenomenals factions in Europe and Asia.}

Silas smirked, leaning back in his chair. "Let them watch. The more they focus on me, the less they focus on protecting their own weaknesses."

{There's more,} Luna continued.

{Reports indicate that several governments are monitoring the situation. While they have refrained from direct involvement, it's likely they are preparing contingency plans.}

"Contingency plans?" Silas chuckled darkly. "The same governments that couldn't handle me the first time? Let them waste their resources. It won't change the outcome."

Despite his confidence, Silas felt the weight of what was coming. This wasn't like his battles against the Black Hand or the Fang Clan.

The hidden families were ancient, powerful, and deeply entrenched in the world's fabric. Their unity, even if tenuous, represented a threat he couldn't ignore.

---

As Silas reviewed the incoming reports, Luna interrupted with an unexpected update.

{Master, there's an unauthorized communication attempting to bypass our encryption protocols. It's originating from a known associate of Lord Arcanis. Shall I block it?}

Silas raised an eyebrow. "Let it through. Let's see what they want."

Moments later, a holographic figure materialized in front of him—a slender man with sharp features and an air of smug confidence. His voice was smooth, but his tone carried an edge of arrogance.

"Silas Kurt," the man began. "My name is Erevan Arcanis, envoy of my father, Lord Arcanis. He sends his regards and a warning:

Your actions have upset the balance of our world.Cease your crusade against the families, or you will face consequences beyond your comprehension."

Silas leaned forward, his expression unreadable. "And what balance are we talking about, Erevan? The balance where your families exploit normals while claiming to protect them? The balance where you abuse your power without accountability?"

Erevan's smirk faltered, but he pressed on. "We do what is necessary to maintain order. You, on the other hand, are a disruptor—a force of chaos.

My father believes there may still be a place for you within the families, should you reconsider your path."

Silas chuckled, his voice low and dangerous. "I'm not interested in your hollow offers, Erevan. Tell your father that his time—and yours—is running out. If you want to stop me, you'd better bring more than empty threats."

The hologram flickered and disappeared, leaving Silas alone with his thoughts. He turned to Luna. "Prepare for increased surveillance on this Arcanis family. They will likely be the ones leading this charge."

{Understood, Master. Shall I deploy additional drones?}

"Do it," Silas said, his tone cold. "If they want war, I'll give them one."

---

As the hidden families continued to marshal their forces, Silas began his own preparations.

He knew that the coming battle would test the limits of his power, and he hopes that this time they would actually push him to use all his strength.

After completing his second evolution metamorphosis, he hasn't been able to show off his true strength and has always been holding back whenever he faces people. And it has been getting very frustrating for Silas.

'They call normies weak but they have no idea they are the weak ones,' Silas mused to himself.

{Master, the first wave of Phenomenals forces is expected to mobilize within the week,} Luna reported.

{They are gathering near the Frost family's European stronghold.}

"Let them come," Silas said, a faint smile playing on his lips.

"We'll see how long their unity lasts when they're faced with something they can't control."

---

Around the globe, the anticipation of conflict was palpable. Civilians remained largely unaware of the brewing storm, but those in power watched with growing unease.

Governments scrambled to update their intelligence on Silas and the Phenomenals families, unsure of whether to intervene or stay out of the conflict.

In hidden corners of the world, Phenomenals who had long lived in secrecy began choosing sides. Some aligned with the families, seeing them as protectors of their legacy.

Others gravitated toward Silas, inspired by his strength and vision for a world free from the tyranny of the hidden elites.

For Silas, the lines were clear. The families represented everything he stood against—oppression, corruption, and unchecked power. And if they thought their alliances could stop him, they were in for a rude awakening.

As night fell once again, Silas stood atop a mountain close to the underground facility, gazing at the stars. Continue your adventure at My Virtual Library Empire

The world was quiet, but he could feel the tension building, like the air before a thunderstorm.

Luna's voice broke the silence. {Master, do you believe they will come to their senses, or are they beyond redemption?}

"They've had centuries to change, and they chose to entrench themselves in their own greed. Redemption isn't on the table anymore. They need to be shown what real power looks like."

He turned, his eyes blazing with determination and something unknown. "And I'll make sure they never forget."
