Chapter 3189: Control

"No problem, leave this to us."
Fang Heng nodded lightly, then flipped his wrist and swung forward.
"Bang! Bang!!!"
The sealing runes he flung from his hand exploded in the air, and two Lickers shot out from the shattered runes, quickly crawling forward.
The Lickers divided on the ground—one became two, two became four, until there were sixty-four Lickers—then rapidly burrowed into the ground using their digging skill.
Most of the Noel Clan mercenaries present were seeing Fang Heng summon such mutant worm creatures for the first time, casting him astonished glances.
What was this?
Mutant worms?
Fang Heng ignored the others’ gazes and lowered his head, thinking quietly.
The spawns’ trap probably would not be easy to handle; he might be stuck here for a while. Moreover, he could sense that due to the Seed of Ouroboros aura he emitted, the mutant worms were rapidly reinforcing this area.
Then...
Fang Heng raised his head and looked at the dense mutant worms in the distance.
Perfect! Let’s fight!
Under everyone’s watchful eyes, Fang Heng did not join the battlefield again. Instead, he stepped forward two paces and quickly slid into the gap the Lickers had torn in the ground, disappearing completely from sight.
"Huh? Where did he go?"
"What is he doing now?"
High-concentration Seed of Ouroboros aura gathered on the planet.
After using a vast swarm of creep worms as the first wave attack, within five minutes, a higher-tier, smaller mutant worm began to appear in the swarm.
This special worm had two thin blades attached to its wrists, which vibrated at extremely high frequency while cutting enemies, capable of breaking defenses and dealing massive damage.
Worse, they were small in size and extremely fast.
"Not good... cutting worms."
A large number of cutting worms mixed within the creep worms, causing serious trouble for the mechanical units acting as meat shields for the Noel Clan front line. Their energy shields dropped rapidly.
The main ship was eerily quiet, only the faint friction of staff operating the control panels breaking the silence.
"Report, captain!"
"What is it?"
"High-intensity spatial turbulence detected within the star domain. Spatial transmission and folding operations are extremely risky. Headquarters is assessing the danger. Estimated reinforcement arrival will be delayed."
Captain Ronny’s expression turned grim.
Spawns!
He suspected that the spatial turbulence in this area was arranged by the spawns, to lure them into this place and then eliminate them with the mutant worms.
"How long will it take?"
The staff member took a deep breath. "It cannot be determined at the moment."
"Boom! Boom, boom!"
Just then, the main ship shook slightly.
What?
Looking out the window, they saw layers of creeping mass moving in the distance.
Hypermutant creep worms joined the battlefield again.
More than ten of them!
Outside the ship, Nasir controlled the wind blade tornado, using large-scale spells to reduce the number of mutant worms.
But there were too many worms.
Their attack intensity could no longer keep up.
The swarm showed no sign of diminishing, only increasing.
Especially the hypermutant creep worms in the swarm.
Without Fang Heng, their output alone could not hold back more than ten hypermutants at once.
Cold sweat formed on Nasir’s forehead; he turned cautiously to glance at the ground hole where Fang Heng had disappeared.
Fang Heng was taking his time.
If he did not appear soon, they would be finished.
"Bang! Bang, bang!"
While thinking, the ground suddenly exploded ahead.
Brown spiny mutant worms burst from the ground, charging directly at the advancing mutant worm army!
Here they came!
Fang Heng’s summoned mutant worms!
Nasir’s eyes lit up.
The two groups of worms immediately clashed, splattering blood and flesh across the battlefield.
The Lickers’ main bodies were far superior to the creep worms in attributes, with vitality and self-healing far exceeding the opponent.
The Lickers emerging from the ground quickly formed a line around the spawns’ defensive perimeter, blocking the swarm with their bodies.
More Lickers rushed into the creep worm swarm, climbing onto hypermutant bodies and attacking, restricting their movement speed.
In the ship’s main control room, Commander Ronny and the staff saw two groups of mutant worms fighting each other outside, eyes widening in astonishment.
What? In the blink of an eye, the worms were fighting themselves?
Looking closer, the new worms appeared to be Fang Heng’s summoned creatures.
He could control some type of mutant worm?
Ronny and elder Nute exchanged a glance, a hint of doubt in their eyes.
No one had ever heard of anyone controlling a Seed of Ouroboros, let alone a pan-human.
Perhaps this was one reason the spawns wanted Fang Heng eliminated.
Thinking further, the recent vampire attack on the Land of Ice Soul planet had caused a huge stir. Everyone knew the spawns had suffered a major loss there.
But traces of the Seed of Ouroboros had also been found during that incident.
It was said vampires could control the Seed of Ouroboros.
Could that event also involve Fang Heng?
Coincidentally, Fang Heng had not been in the Seven Realms Martial Capital during that time.
Could Fang Heng be a vampire?
Commander Ronny knew now was not the time to ponder. He immediately issued the order: "Regroup and retreat, cooperating with the mutant worms in combat."
"Understood."
Ronny reasoned that whether Fang Heng was a vampire or not, at least he was helping them fight the Seed of Ouroboros.
The priority now was survival, holding out until spawn reinforcements arrived.
"Whoosh! Whoosh, whoosh!"
The ship retreated behind the Lickers, launching covering strikes ahead, bombarding the swarm densely.
But the Noel Clan did not realize that, besides the Lickers emerging from the ground, strands of black fog aura were also seeping out through underground rifts.
In the underground domain, Fang Heng’s controlled zombie clones continued digging tunnels, while two low-tier Pillars of the Game appeared on his left and right.
In front of him, a large alchemy magic array had just been completed.
Abe Akaya summoned the magic array.
Fang Heng closed his eyes slightly, infusing mental strength into the array through his feet.
As black fog gradually covered the underground domain, the fog density increased rapidly, accelerating the alchemy array’s operation until spatial fluctuations appeared.
"Chi, chi, chi..."
Delicate Abe Akaya vines slowly sprouted from the array, quickly spreading along the ground and rock walls, occupying the entire cavern.
Done!
Fang Heng opened his eyes again and flashed toward the outside of the cavern.
