The Flame Demon leader on the fortieth layer had already sensed the tremors from the upper layers. Awakening from the lava pool, he looked toward Ignis, who had just returned from outside the cavern, eyes filled with a questioning look.

The dispersed flames quickly condensed and reformed into the flame demons.

After a brief entanglement, a second wave of Lickers flooded into the battlefield through the cavern.

Ignis and his elite Mag clan squad watched from a distance, their hearts pounding uncontrollably.

Most hell creatures avoided fighting the flame demons, since the flame demons burned with hellfire all over their bodies and had no weaknesses except at their cores. They were also completely immune to physical and fire-based effects.

Yet, the Lickers, as melee combat units, charged directly at the flame demons.

Their claws pierced through the flames surrounding the flame demons again and again.

The Lickers couldn’t damage the flame demons but instead became coated with continuously burning hellfire, looking fierce and terrifying.

Ignis silently muttered behind them.

It looked like they were holding the line.

But no!

He suddenly realized the Lickers had not suffered any casualties.

Though the Lickers appeared badly burned, the hellfire did not seem to break through their outer defenses.

The lava serpent’s concentrated flame cannons exploded on the frontline Lickers.

The damage dealt to the Lickers healed rapidly within a very short time.

Such terrifying vitality!

The Flame Demon clan was considered a top-tier force in hell, yet now they seemed to be struggling.

Huh?

Ignis suddenly sensed a powerful force approaching from the front and glanced back.

That person!

The demonic seed!

Ignis had heard rumors that the jealousy demonic seed had died at the hands of another demonic seed, and that the large tree on the thirtieth layer was controlled by that seed.

The passive Thunder of Judgment triggered immediately, sending lightning strikes that directly blasted the attackers.

The lightning was an area attack, causing large numbers of flame demons to suffer holy damage. After enduring multiple lightning strikes, their fiery cores were annihilated into ashes.

Ignis watched the flame demons rapidly collapse, feeling uncertain. He led his subordinates further back to avoid the battle shockwaves.

The Flame Demon leader emerged from the erupting lava pool’s center. Wielding a lava hammer, he swung it forward, sweeping through a visible ring of hellfire that surged ahead in a fiery shockwave.

The fire ring devoured everything in its path, roaring as it swept forward.

A group of Lickers in front was blasted backward by the fiery shockwave.

At the same time, lightning flickered on the Lickers’ bodies as the passive Thunder of Judgment skill triggered repeatedly.

In an instant, thousands of lightning strikes continuously hammered the Flame Demon leader.

The Flame Demon leader, built from hell flames, shook violently, and his flames dimmed somewhat.
