Global Gods : Skill-Resonance Awakened

Chapter 342: Two Verdicts In A Minute

Chapter 342: Ch 342 : Two Verdicts In A Minute

Kairos and Mongo felt their very souls shuddering, not from the cold floor of the throne room, but from the weight of the realization that had just been forced upon them.

While they had been struggling like insects in the dark, farming a world filled with low-tier demons to satisfy the Demon Lord Ichor, Sunny was performing a feat that was never heard of before.

He was systematically amputating the limbs of the Demon Realm, conquering cities right under the noses of the Seven Lords. He wasn’t just defending his borders; he was colonizing the abyss.

The gap between their perspective and Sunny’s was no longer a distance; it was a different dimension entirely.

In reality, they shouldn’t have been able to hear Sunny’s mental communication.

Divine telepathy was meant to be a closed circuit, a private channel between a Creator and his chosen creations.

But within the Emperor’s Domain, the laws of physics and privacy were mere suggestions.

If Sunny willed for Kairos and Mongo to hear the discussion of his infiltration, then the air itself would vibrate with his thoughts, forcing the information into their minds like a physical weight.

"Emperor... please," Mongo stammered, his voice breaking as he collapsed into a kneeling position.

Tears began to stream down his pale, hairless face. "We were forced! Ichor... that monster Lom... they shackled our souls! Infiltrating your territory wasn’t a choice; it was a desperate bid to keep our hearts beating."

"Kairos has already told you everything! We’ve given you his name! Why don’t you just let us go? We can disappear! We’ll never return!"

To a mortal, Mongo’s plea might have sounded heart-wrenching. He looked like a man broken by circumstances, a victim of cosmic bullies.

Even Lom or the terrifying, blood soaked guard of Lom didn’t radiate the same threat as the figure on the throne.

Sunny’s aura was controlled... it was actually weaker in raw output than Ichor’s chaotic, violent pressure... but that was precisely why it was more terrifying. It was the difference between a forest fire and a laser.

Sunny leaned forward, the cosmic light of his mask reflecting off the polished floor.

"That sounds believable, Mongo," Sunny said, his voice a light, melodic chuckle that didn’t reach his eyes.

"But you seem to have forgotten a fundamental rule of this room: I can read your thoughts. And more importantly, I can read your memories like an open book. Your past is not a story you get to tell; it is a film I have already watched."

The color drained from Mongo’s face. He became a shade of white that shouldn’t exist in living flesh. Sweat began to drip continuously from his brow, (or where it should have been, before he turned hairless) pooling on the floor.

Kairos looked at his friend and knew that their was something fishy about his past, something that only The Emperor and Mongo himself knew.

Sunny had peered into Mongo’s history. Back on Endor, Mongo had been an unremarkable office worker. He had committed no crimes, paid his taxes, and followed the rules. On the surface, he was a good man.

But Sunny saw the truth behind the mask. Mongo hadn’t been a saint; he had been a coward. He followed the rules only because there were police to catch him and a society to shame him. He lacked the courage to be evil, not the desire.

The moment he became a God, those shackled desires were unleashed.

When his lifeforms evolved into a Demi-Human race.... beautiful, loyal creatures with the traits of rabbits, cats, and cows, he didn’t see them as his children. He saw them as property.

He had manifested a sprawling mansion in his God Space, a private harem where he abducted the most beautiful females of his world.

He treated them as disposable toys, only stopping when he was forced to bind with the System.

Fearful that Thea’s omniscient gaze would see his depravity and cut him off from the Divine Network, he had slaughtered every single one of his "slaves" to hide the evidence.

Once he was enslaved by Ichor and cut off from the light of the system and the rest of the Gods, the beast returned. He had begun abducting female demons, subjecting them to a cycle of horror that mirrored his past crimes. He was a monster who had finally found a world without a cage.

"Even Kairos would be ashamed to call you his subordinate if he truly knew the extent of your filth," Sunny said, his voice dripping with cold disgust.

"He may be a killer himself, but he didn’t treat his lifeforms like livestock. Even in his desperation, he created Rina.... an assassin created for the sole purpose of loving him. Pathetic, yes, but it is not a crime like yours."

"I... I only did what I had to..." Mongo whispered, his mind fracturing.

"Actually, I came here to...." Kairos started to speak, his voice trembling, but Sunny cut him off with a sharp gesture.

"She is alive, Kairos," Sunny said, his gaze shifting to the Time-God.

From Kairos’s memories, Sunny had uncovered the start of his desperation.

Everything Kairos had done was fueled by a memory of high school. A first love who had died in a tragic car accident on Endor.

When everyone in Endor were teleported and Kairos gained the talent of time acceleration, he didn’t care about conquering the other Gods. He wanted to bring her back.

He had spent his first decade as a God attempting to "evolve" herself back into existence, eventually using a Divine Embryo, purchased with the faith of his alliance... to create a Demigod copy of her. That was the assassin, Rina, whom Loki had captured.

"She is alive? How?" Kairos gasped, his eyes fixed on Sunny. "I felt her connection sever a long time ago! I thought she was killed by you!"

"Technically, the version you created is dead," Sunny said, his tone softening only slightly. "But as you’ve seen today, death is a very flexible concept in my presence. Just as I reconstructed you, I can reconstruct her. I can retrieve her soul from the hell that is also under my rule"

Kairos felt a weight like a mountain lift from his chest. The nihilism vanished, replaced by a staggering, desperate hope. He fell to his knees, his forehead hitting the floor with a heavy thud.

"Emperor! I will be your dog! I will be your slave for eternity! Please... just give her back. I’ll do anything!"

Sunny ignored the plea. His eyes returned to Mongo, who was still trembling in the corner.

"I will deal with you later," Sunny said, his voice returning to that chilling, detached tone. "But for you, Mongo, I must deliver a verdict."

"You... you’re a human," Mongo wheezed, looking for a sliver of mercy. "We’re from the same world! You have a human heart! Be merciful..."

Sunny shook his head slowly. "I do have a human heart beating in my chest. And it is because I am human that I find your actions unforgivable. A demon acts on instinct; you acted on choice."

"I will not give you a dramatic, quick execution," Sunny continued, a dark laugh bubbling in his throat. "That would be a mercy."

"Instead, you shall be imprisoned for exactly One Billion Years. You will be placed in the a prison I designed specifically for the Demon Gods. There, time will not flow as you know it. Every hour will feel like a decades of isolation."

Mongo let out a strangled cry, but Sunny wasn’t finished.

"And once that billion-year sentence is complete, I will dismantle your body. I will split your physical form into exactly as many pieces as the number of victims you have harmed. I will ensure each piece remains conscious, alive, and capable of feeling every nerve ending. You will be a thousand screaming fragments, scattered across the hell-realm."

"You will only die," Sunny whispered, "when I decide your debt to humanity has been paid in full."

Sunny waved his hand, and the floor beneath Mongo opened into a swirling, pitch-black vortex.

"No! Please! Emperor....."

WHOOSH.

The vortex snapped shut, taking Mongo’s screams with it. The room fell silent, the golden light of the throne room reflecting off the spot where the beast in human skin had once stood.

Sunny turned his gaze back to the kneeling Kairos.

"Now, Kairos. Let’s talk about your crimes, You killed million of lifeforms... Even though you did it for your love...."

"During her nearly dead state she asked you to live well, she asked you to take care of yourself.... And after you created her ’clone’ from the divine embryo, you promised her the entire world"

"And for that world, you captured the spirit king, and asked it to massacre the lifeforms in the realm of advancement, so that you can become the strongest God.... Doesn’t matter what your intentions were, a crime is a crime"

"Thus, you will also be imprisoned for a billion year, and once these billion years pass, I will personally behead you" Sunny said calmly.
