Chapter 324: Race to the Final Floor [2]

Chapter 324: Race to the Final Floor [2]

Back to Broken Dawn.

...Floor 85

Gabriel and his squadron burst into the main hall of the floor; however, five vampire knights were already present. They froze at the sight of the intruders, clearly caught off guard.

Gabriel didn’t wait for anyone to speak—he immediately moved.

Boom. Boom. Boom.

Wind pressure ripped across the stone floor as he bolted forward. His fist punched straight through the head of the first knight. Then he spin-kicked another into the ceiling. A third tried to escape, but he grabbed its leg mid-run and smashed it like a whip against the floor.

Sophie’s vines exploded from the ground, wrapping around a blood brute’s legs. Anna immediately drove a short sword into its chest where the heart was, spilling blood across her face.

They worked like a finely tuned machine. Despite her weakened state, Sophie’s mind still worked faster than most because of her prior knowledge of the Tower... at least the little she knew.

"Clear!" Gabriel yelled the moment he took down the boss of the floor. "Proceed to the next!"

---

In the real world, Doodle Brambleton nearly fell out of his chair.

"LADIES AND GENTLEMEN!! Broken Dawn has jumped TWO FLOORS in the last seventeen minutes!! Are you SEEING THIS?!"

[ TOWER PROGRESSION ]

Olympus – Floor 89

Martial Palace – Floor 87

Broken Dawn – Floor 85

Adventurer Guild – Floor 81

"THE GAP IS SHRINKING AGAIN!! These guys aren’t HUMAN!!"

His co-host pointed at the mini-screen.

"Look! That’s a live feed of Sir Broken and the team clearing Floor 85. Look at that SPEED!"

On the forum, things were hot.

Nightshade_777: Sir Broken IS CHASING THEM DOWN

BrokenDawn4Life: LET’S GOOOOO

TeamOlympus: Olympus will stay first, idiots

MartialPride: LMAO Sir Broken carrying again

ScarletSimp: ADVENTURER GUILD STILL IN THIS!!!

The storm overhead rumbled softly. The atmosphere around the Blood Tower grew tenser with every floor cleared.

Everyone could feel it now.

---

Floor 86...

Broken Dawn reached the boss door first.

It was a massive stone gate carved with blood inscriptions.

Gabriel stepped forward. Sophie and Anna stood at his sides. The moment he touched the door—

BOOOOOOOOOM!!

The massive metal doors exploded inward.

The boss inside—a humanoid blood monster—barely had time to react before Gabriel hurled his greatsword across the room like a missile.

FWOOOSH!

The blade pierced its chest, nailing it to the wall.

"Roooaaarr!" it screamed.

He dashed forward, fist glowing with reddish mana.

BOOM!!

The boss’s head exploded.

[Fatal Hit]

For the next floors... what followed was a blur.

Floor 86 was cleared in under ten minutes—no breaks, no hesitation. Floor 87 took twelve minutes, only because the enemies tried to scatter Floor 88 fell even faster, wiped out in barely eight minutes.

Floor 89 slowed them down with a stupid puzzle corridor that nearly cost them twenty minutes.

They weren’t the only ones speeding up.

Olympus climbed like crazy. Martial Palace was only slightly slower. The Adventurer Guild followed close behind.

The next ranking check-in made everyone freeze.

Bunny wiped sweat from her brow and read aloud:

"Olympus – Floor 93

Martial Palace – Floor 91

Broken Dawn – Floor 90

Adventurer Guild – Floor 87."

Ragnarok let out a low whistle. "Holy s***... we’re right behind Martial Palace now."

"And the gap between Olympus and us is only three floors..." Cassie murmured.

Gabriel tightened his grip on his sword.

"Don’t get too excited yet," he warned, then gestured for the team to begin hunting the monsters.

---

"THEY’RE ALL IN THE 90s!!! ALL FOUR GUILDS!!! THIS IS CRAZY!!"

His co-host yelled, "THE RACE IS REAL NOW!! FLOOR 100 IS CLOSE!!"

The air was thick with tension, excitement, and fear.

Everything was peaking. Everyone was on the edge of their seat.

"All eyes are on the final sprint!" Doodle shouted. "THE RACE IS SO CLOSE THAT A SINGLE WIPE COULD CHANGE EVERYTHING!!"

...

From Floors 91 to 95 was a total nightmare.

Natives died. Players respawned. Some didn’t, choosing to give up halfway.

However, Broken Dawn’s core team did not stop.

---

Ranking Update ...

"Olympus – 97

Martial Palace – 96

Broken Dawn – 96

Adventurer Guild – 92."

"We’re catching up again," Sophie said.

"We’re almost there," Ragnarok added, chest rising and falling.

"Continue pushing," Gabriel spoke calmly between breaths. His voice didn’t rise, but everyone felt the pressure behind it.

---

Floor 96.

Huge crimson spikes jutted from the ground like a forest. Blood beasts crawled across them, hissing.

Gabriel and Ragnarok punched through three beasts at once.

"This floor is annoying."

Sophie generated a path of vines to bypass traps. Anna eliminated hidden lurkers, and they cleared it quickly.

---

Floor 97

On this floor, two Blood Lords leaped from the shadows.

Gabriel didn’t flinch and instead threw his greatsword at one, punched the other in the chest, then kicked it so hard it flew into a column.

Ragnarok crushed the second boss’s head with a falling kick.

After a brief back-and-forth, both bosses were dead.

---

Floor 98.

This one almost broke them.

An endless hallway of regenerating enemies and shifting terrain.

"WHY... WHY IS THIS FLOOR STILL GOING?!" a player screamed, eyes bloodshot.

Cassie was pale and shivering. "My mana... mana... it’s about to hit zero..."

Sophie scanned her storage. Only a few bottles of mana potion remained, but she didn’t hesitate to hand one to Cassie, who gulped it down hurriedly.

"It’s slightly better now," she breathed.

"You deserve it. You’re one of the reasons we were able to come this far." Sophie smiled weakly, exhaustion in her eyes.

All this while, Gabriel stayed in front—tanking hits, kicking enemies aside. He fought like a beast and was drenched from head to toe... it was hard to tell who was the beast and who was the human.

Finally, the boss of the floor was killed, and the exit appeared, followed by the final notification.

[Floor 98 Cleared]

Standing in a puddle of blood, Gabriel pulled up the ranking board.

"Olympus – 99

Martial Palace – 99

Broken Dawn – 99

Adventurer Guild – 95."

The three guilds—Olympus, Martial Palace, and Broken Dawn—were now all on Floor 99.

This was it.

This was the moment of truth.

The first guild to clear this floor would advance forward.
