Chapter 433 433: End of the Battle: Dominic Suspicious Ring

Gabriel's gaze lingered on Dominic's hand. There, almost hidden by the bloodstains and mud, the ring gleamed. It was a wrong move for Dominic to try to shield it; instead, he only made Gabriel more curious.

On the far side of the battlefield, everything had fallen unnaturally silent. The Eastern camp soldiers were frozen in shock. Never in their wildest nightmares had they imagined their tyrant, the indomitable Dominic, sitting at the mercy of his enemy.

For moments that felt like hours, none of them moved. Then, one by one, they began to relinquish their arms. They did not need to be told. Helmets, firearms, ammo, and magazines rolled to the ground. Spears and swords followed as the soldiers released them.

Some of the Eastern captains exchanged blank, horrified looks; even they dared not move, afraid they might suffer a fate similar to Dominic's.

"What does this mean?"

"Does this mean the Eastern camp has fallen? What about the Northern camp?"

All around, whispers sped through the ranks of the Eastern survivors. At this point, they were completely confused and did not know what their next step was. Fortunately for them, the Broken Dawn side had stopped attacking as well, which gave them a little time to catch their breath.

Across the battlefield, among the core members of Broken Dawn, Anna's face in particular broke into a broad grin as she watched the last of the Eastern troops drop to their knees, weapons clattering aside.

Beside her, Bunny and Ragnarok exchanged triumphant, cocky smiles.

"All on camera?"

"Yup."

"Hahahaha. When BrawlerX returns, he's going to be mad that he missed all this."

Meanwhile, Anna turned to Sophie and spoke with a small smirk on her face. "I told you master always keeps his word."

Sophie let out a small chuckle, color returning to her pale face. Truth be told, Sophie had never really underestimated Gabriel. However, the number of enemies was not something to joke about, and that had been the main reason she had been concerned earlier.

"Yes," she replied, half smiling now. "We should never have doubted him in the first place."

"Tsk. I never did."

At that moment, after realizing the war had ended with Henry's death and Dominic's defeat, cheers and chants began to ripple across the battlefield.

"Long live Sir Broken!"

The shout echoed through the wilderness, and like a chain reaction, dozens of voices soon joined in a chorus of victory. Shouts of "Gabriel! Gabriel! Broken Heaven has won!" spread across the battlefield and even reached those within the Eastern camp, like the call of a new dawn.

They were perplexed, wondering who Gabriel was and why so many people were chanting his name, unaware that he had just become their new leader.

Gabriel himself did not stifle a grin. He simply stood there, basking in the sudden adoration of his warriors. His greatsword, still gleaming faintly with crimson light, was propped casually on his shoulder.

None of the cheering seemed to reach Dominic. The fallen Bloodlord sat on a chunk of broken stone, every ounce of arrogance drained from him. His face was blank at first, as if he were unable to process what had happened.

Dominic's mind was a chaotic storm of conflicting thoughts. He was enraged, wounded more in pride than in body. He could not accept defeat, not at the hands of a mere human, one who was not even fully ranked.

"It wasn't me… it was his skill," he told himself again and again. Gabriel's hidden trump card, the demonic exorcist class, could explain this outcome.

Dominic closed his eyes tightly, still pretending the result did not belong to him. The notion that this supposed unranked human had truly bested him was more painful than any physical wound.

Yet the evidence was undeniable. His hand clenched tightly, knuckles whitening. A small voice of misery whispered that he had been caught off guard. He was a master manipulator of blood, a near deity among these warriors, and now he was left kneeling and broken.

Footsteps on gravel snapped him back to the present. He opened his eyes to see Scarlet and the others from Broken Dawn striding toward him. Scarlet's brow was not furrowed with worry; rather, it was filled with pride. Sophie walked alongside them, smiling tentatively.

"How are you feeling?" Sophie asked softly as they approached. Her voice held genuine concern. She did not dare look away from Gabriel's back or Dominic's current state.

Gabriel turned halfway, flashing Sophie a quick, reassuring grin. He nodded and answered.

"I'm fine," he said. "Thank you. But I'd appreciate it if I could speak with Dominic alone for a while."

The others exchanged glances. Anna mouthed an impressed "Yes, sir," and without a word, they obeyed.

They passed Dominic cautiously. After all, he was still a monster to them, then backed away a few paces.

Gabriel took one last look around to ensure no one else could overhear. Then he nodded to Seraphina, who had been with him the entire time, and together they led Dominic toward a partially constructed building a short distance away.

The darkness inside would be better for questioning him in privacy.

Gabriel made Dominic sit on a broad wooden bench that ran along one wall of the room.

Despite his pride, Dominic was too exhausted to resist. He slumped forward, hands still pinned together by Gabriel's Crimson Lotus ropes, sweat trickling down his face. Seraphina stood near the doorway, observing quietly.

Gabriel waited only a moment. Then, gently, he slid one foot onto Dominic's upper arm, pinning it against the bench with subtle pressure, just enough to prevent sudden movement.

"Arg!" The vampire gasped in pain. Dominic struggled weakly against the ropes. The ring on his finger scraped against Gabriel's boot, making a faint clink.

"Now let's see what's so precious about that ring," Gabriel said, eyes fixed on the rings.

Without hesitation and In a single swift motion, he reached out and yanked off the ring.
