Chapter 480 480: Soul Key [2]
Chapter 480 480: Soul Key [2]
The search results began appearing one after another.
Gabriel leaned back slightly in his seat and watched the forum load. If there was any place likely to have information on something strange like a Soul Key, it would be here. The Realm Hub was full of idiots, braggers, liars, and attention seekers, but mixed in with all that nonsense were also people who stumbled onto useful things by chance.
The Soul Key he had extracted from Henry was clearly not ordinary.
That much was obvious the moment the system told him it was one out of three. Items like that were almost never random. They always connected to something bigger. The problem was figuring out what.
The first results were useless.
Several threads popped up simply because the words soul and key had appeared somewhere inside them. Gabriel clicked on the first one and read a few lines.
[Thread: Best Soul Mage Build for Early Game]
Player 1: Does anyone know the key stat ratio for soul mages?
Player 2: Intelligence and spirit, obviously.
Player 3: No, agility soul mage is underrated.
Gabriel closed it.
The next one was no better.
[Thread: Locked Graveyard Door in North Marsh]
Player 1: I found a door with skulls on it.
Player 2: Did you try a rusty key?
Player 3: Maybe it needs a soul offering or something.
Player 4: Bro, stop making things up.
He closed that too.
Then another.
[Thread: Can summoned souls use item keys?]
Player 1: Asking for necromancer reasons.
Player 2: What kind of weird build are you making?
Player 3: This is why people hate necromancers.
Gabriel clicked his tongue softly.
For the first few minutes, that was all he found. Random nonsense. Half baked theories. Threads where the search result only matched because someone had used the word soul in one sentence and key in another. He went through them one by one anyway, because missing one useful clue would be more annoying than reading garbage.
Another thread opened.
[Thread: Soul damage in PvP is broken]
Player 1: It goes through normal resistance.
Player 2: Then get better gear.
Player 3: Or get a brain.
He closed it and moved on to the next.
[Thread: Lost my storage key after dying]
Player 1: Is there any way to recover it?
Player 2: Depends on where you died.
Player 3: Maybe your soul has it now lol.
Still nothing.
Gabriel kept scrolling. The forum was exactly what he expected it to be. Too much noise. Too many people talking without actually knowing anything. But after enough time, a different kind of result finally appeared.
It was not a proper thread title this time.
It was a reply buried inside a longer conversation.
Gabriel opened it and began to read.
[Thread: Weird symbols in ruined temple?]
Player 1: Found some weird carvings under a temple floor. Anyone know if this is part of a quest?
Player 2: Post a screenshot.
Player 1: Already did. Third image.
Player 3: Looks like dead language stuff.
Player 4: Might be hidden lore. I found something similar once talking about Soul Keys. It said they could open a path to another world or something.
Gabriel's eyes narrowed slightly when he read that.
Another world?
That made him stop and sit up straight in his chair.
He read the rest of the replies below it.
Player 5: What are you smoking?
Player 4: I'm serious. Some old ruin text mentioned three keys, a sealed gate, and crossing over.
Player 6: Source: trust me bro.
Player 7: We got a lore addict here.
The replies were mocking, but he did not care about that part. What mattered was that someone had seen something related to Soul Keys and connected it to hidden lore.
He backed out and searched again. This time, he looked more carefully.
A few more scattered results appeared, each one buried between unrelated conversations. None of them gave a full answer.
He opened another result.
[Thread: Secret quest in drowned shrine?]
Player 1: There was an altar at the bottom.
Player 2: Did it activate?
Player 1: No.
Player 3: Might be tied to Soul Keys. I remember reading one lore tablet that said the keys were not meant for treasure but passage.
"Not treasure but passage. Interesting." Gabriel read that line twice.
He kept digging.
The information was frustrating. It was there, but never complete. It always appeared in the middle of another conversation, like bits of a puzzle scattered across different places. No one seemed to have a full answer. Most of the time, the people bringing it up were ignored or mocked before the topic shifted.
Another post caught his eye.
[Thread: Hidden world rumors]
Player 1: Anyone else heard about sealed regions outside the map?
Player 2: Fake.
Player 3: Not fake. I saw someone mention Soul Keys in relation to it.
Player 4: Here we go again.
Player 5: Soul Keys are probably just event items.
Player 3: No. Old lore said they lead beyond the current world boundaries.
Player 6: You sound insane.
He tapped the table lightly with one finger.
So it was not just one person. More than one player had stumbled onto lore connecting Soul Keys to something beyond the current world. But none of them explained it properly. No screenshots. No full text. No confirmed questline. Just fragments of information.
Still, it was enough to make his interest grow.
If Soul Keys really led to another world entirely, then this was much bigger than he first assumed. Hidden worlds, sealed regions, and passage items were never small matters in Realm of Ascendency.
He went back to the earlier thread and focused on the player who first brought it up. The replies around them were filled with people calling them a weirdo, a liar, and a lore obsessed idiot, but the more he looked at it, the more he felt that person probably knew more than they had written.
Maybe they had seen more and simply did not bother arguing.
Maybe they had posted about it elsewhere.
Either way, they were the best lead so far.
He moved his fingers over the player's name and clicked on their profile to find more information.
