God-Tier Extraction Talent: Reincarnated in a Game-like World!

Chapter 497 497: Too Much Power

Chapter 497 497: Too Much Power

Initially, the reason Gabriel had refused to touch his stat point reserve was because of two reasons. The first was because he liked distributing his stats based on the situation.

For example, against an opponent with intense speed, he could allocate stats to match his opponent or surpass their speed.

The second reason was not anything grand. Rather, it was something more personal. Gabriel simply liked looking at his stat points because it was the first time in both lives he had that much. It gave him an unspoken joy and reminded him of how far he had come compared to his past life.

Unfortunately, he would have to use them now.

"It would be a long time before I get this many stat points again," he muttered.

Yes, he could get that if he launched an attack on the northern camp, but that was easier said than done. Several factors and variables needed to be considered before initiating a war of that scale.

"Still, I am confident I could get more than this. Maybe even a billion," he smirked, slightly shocked by his own confidence. To have that many stat points, he was indirectly saying he would rule the entirety of the human continent, merging the Valerian Kingdom, Edgeburn, Tianlan, and the others.

Pushing away the distant future thoughts, he pulled up his system status, the blue screen unfolding before him.

The blue screen floated quietly in front of Gabriel while the room remained silent. The curtains were half drawn, and the afternoon light entered the room softly, casting long shadows across the wooden floor. The air inside was cool, and the only sound was the faint ticking of a wall clock.

Gabriel looked at the available stat points for a few seconds, then raised his hand and began distributing them.

Point after point disappeared as he allocated them carefully, spreading them across Strength, Agility, Perception, and Intelligence. Every time he added points to Intelligence, his mana increased. One point of Intelligence translated into ten mana points, and he watched as his MP steadily climbed higher and higher.

He was meticulous with the distribution, clearly prioritizing his Berserker build while still maintaining balance. Strength received the most points, followed by Agility, then Perception, and finally Intelligence for mana support. He did not dump everything at once. He adjusted slowly, watching the numbers change until he was satisfied.

When he finally stopped, he left one hundred stat points unused. Just in case.

Gabriel stared at the updated numbers for a moment, then closed the status window. For a second, nothing happened. Then the changes hit him all at once.

His muscles tightened slightly. His breathing slowed. His senses sharpened. He could hear the faint sound of footsteps from the hallway outside, the distant noise from the street below, and even the quiet hum of electricity in the walls. His body felt lighter, but at the same time, every movement carried more power than before.

He clenched his fist slowly. The air around his hand shifted slightly from the pressure alone.

"This…" he muttered quietly.

But the next moment, a sharp pain shot through his head.

Gabriel frowned and grabbed the side of the table as the headache hit him like a wave. It felt very similar to when he had completed his class advancement before. A deep, splitting headache that made it hard to focus for a few seconds.

He closed his eyes and stood there, breathing slowly while the pain spread through his head. It did not last forever, but it was painful enough that an ordinary person would have collapsed already.

After a short while, the pain began to stabilize.

Gabriel straightened again and rolled his shoulders slightly, testing his body. His movements were still controlled, but he could tell immediately that controlling this level of strength would take some getting used to. This was not strength that people gained in a few years. This was the kind of strength that most people trained their entire lives for and still never reached.

He walked toward the bathroom and turned the handle.

Crack.

The metal handle bent slightly under his grip.

Gabriel paused and looked at it for a second before pushing the door open more carefully this time. Inside, the bathroom was clean and simple. White tiles, a mirror, a sink, and a glass shower area.

He turned the faucet.

The knob snapped off in his hand.

He looked at the broken knob, then at the water that immediately started pouring out, and resisted the urge to face palm.

He adjusted the water carefully and stepped into the shower. When he pressed his hand against the wall to steady himself, a faint cracking sound appeared on the tile. He immediately relaxed his hand and continued more carefully.

Even when he picked up the soap, the bar deformed slightly in his grip.

By the time he finished bathing and stepped out, one of the towel racks was slightly bent, the faucet knob was broken, and a small crack had formed on one of the tiles.

Gabriel looked at the mess quietly, then shook his head slightly and began adjusting to his strength on purpose. He moved slowly, picked things up carefully, and practiced controlling the amount of force in his fingers.

It took time, but he eventually got used to it.

By the time he finished changing and stepped back into the main room, his movements looked slightly normal again, but they were still not as controlled and calm as before.

Just then, a bright light flashed and the space warped as Xman appeared in the middle of the room.

"I finished it," Xman said, placing a paper on the table. "The map you asked for. The route you can use to infiltrate the castle… it's ready."
