Chapter 2105: Back at the Silver Tower

Border

The Raven Aircraft reached the border town two days later. I had used the two days for mental method practice.

It had been the most peaceful practice session I had experienced. I had forgotten the outside noise for two days.

Now that we had reached the border town, I thought the upcoming days would be busy.

Then I put the zero puppet back into the system space. Then I continued to operate the Raven Aircraft toward the border check post.

There was still time and distance left to reach the Magic City. There were many satellite cities located in between.

On the other hand, the wizards stationed at the border check post noticed an aircraft approaching the post.

They were Supreme Wizards, but they informed the higher-ups immediately. There was a Magic Lord above them who was staying in the admin office near the post.

When the news reached the ears of the Magic Lord, he turned off the restrictions covering the sky. He then exited the room and appeared in mid-air.

He knew no one used an aircraft unless they were connected to the Magic City or the satellite cities.

Inside the aircraft, I saw a figure appear in mid-air. The magic restrictions covering the sky were gone. Then I brought the aircraft closer toward the person.

I saw an old man wearing the border guard uniform. When I checked using the system, I found out that the old man was a Magic Lord.

Then five more figures rose from the ground. They were the Supreme Wizards doing the inspections earlier.

I opened the aircraft cockpit window and looked at the wizards.

"I’m Supreme Wizard Vincent Carey. I’m returning to the Silver Tower," I said in a calm tone.

Hearing that, the old man was taken aback. The expressions of the Supreme Wizards behind him changed drastically. They had heard of his name.

The old man had better eyesight. He saw the emblem of the Silver Tower on the uniform, but he still decided to ask for a badge.

Because of the current situation in the Mage Union, they were investigating everywhere.

The old man then walked toward me.

"I apologize, but I have to see your badge first," the old man said.

Hearing that, I didn’t get offended; instead, I showed him my badge. The old Magic Lord received the badge. Upon looking at the badge, he immediately confirmed it was authentic.

He then handed the badge back to me.

"Welcome back to the Magic City," the old man said.

I nodded to him.

The old man then signaled the Supreme Wizards with his eyes to leave. The five wizards then gave way.

Swoosh!

I closed the cockpit window and operated the aircraft. The aircraft then moved forward. It didn’t take long for the aircraft to fly through the sky.

The back of the aircraft disappeared from sight. The old Magic Lord and the Supreme Wizards were surprised by Vincent Carey’s return.

It was important intel. They immediately shared the news back with their forces. The old Magic Lord saw this, but he didn’t stop them, because he was also going to send a message back to the Mage Union higher-ups.

A couple of hours later,

The Raven Aircraft crossed multiple satellite cities, but I didn’t stop anywhere. After crossing the last satellite city, the Raven Aircraft finally entered the airspace of the Magic City.

I immediately felt the rich mana in the surroundings. The difference in mana between here and outside was huge. The aircraft continued to fly across the sky.

It flew over many buildings, including the infrastructure of businesses and Wizard Families. I even spotted the Magic Duel Arena through the window.

Soon, the aircraft reached the central plaza and flew over it. It then reached the territory of the Magic Towers. I slowed down and steered the aircraft toward the Silver Tower.

There were always a considerable number of people near the Magic Towers. There were also spies paying attention to the movements of the Magic Towers all day long.

The Magic Towers and families had their spies watch others, just as someone else was spying on them. I knew the appearance of the Raven Aircraft might have excited the people already.

On the other hand, experienced people recognized the Raven Aircraft right away. They recalled it was the aircraft of the Silver Tower Manager Lara, but it was mostly used by Supreme Wizard Vincent Carey.

They grew curious about whether Wizard Vincent was in that aircraft.

Thud!

At the same time, the Raven Aircraft reached the Silver Tower. I landed the aircraft on the ground in front of it. Then I exited the aircraft.

I immediately felt many gazes on me. I ignored the gazes and put the Raven Aircraft away into the system space.

Then I turned around and walked up to the gate. I used the badge to enter. I quickly reached the main door and walked inside the tower.

Gasp!

A series of gasps sounded. The wizards, spies, and other people were shocked. They were speculating, but they didn’t expect Supreme Wizard Vincent Carey to appear.

It was breaking news for them. They didn’t wait and immediately shared the breaking news back with their forces.

Meanwhile,

I walked into the lobby and came to the sitting area. I sat down on the sofa. I looked around the place. The furniture and decorations were the same.

Nothing has changed much here. Then I took the device out to call Manager Lara. But right then, I heard footsteps. I turned my head and saw Manager Lara.

"Manager Lara," I greeted her.

Lara heaved a sigh of relief upon seeing me. She quickly came forward and sat opposite me. She then looked at me from top to bottom.

"It’s good to see you back," Lara said.

She then looked around and saw no one else.

"What about your team?" she asked.

"Well, they are staying somewhere else," I replied.

Hearing that, Lara nodded her head and said, "You and your team did well and made a huge contribution to the White Silver Faction."

"Did they talk about any reward?" I asked.

"I knew you would ask for it. But I think Elder Dana or Lord Charlotte has it. You can ask them later," Lara replied.
