In the room, the bidding price shocked me again. I understood that everyone had saved their money for the final auction item.

They didn’t know about the importance of the special relic. If this went through, I was sure that fighting was inevitable.

Then I turned towards the zero puppet in red smoke form to infiltrate the private rooms to gather intel.

Earlier, I was not concerned. It was because there was no presence of the Forbidden Wizards in the city. So I was feeling safe and confident.

But still, I decided to be prepared. Who knew? If they had some Forbidden Wizards in contact, they could be invited at any moment.

The zero puppet obeyed the order and left the room.

Auctioneer Elowen heard the bidding. She wanted more competition. Seeing that no one was making any noise, she said, "It’s the final auction item."

"220,000, going once."

"If anyone wants to bid, they can do it again. The VIPs can bid more," Elowen added.

Her voice reverberated throughout the auction house. Everyone was looking towards the VIP room.

"220,000, going twice."

Auctioneer Elowen spoke in a loud voice. Her voice reached the ears of those in the VIP room. Everyone had heard her voice.

She then turned towards the female wizard’s room. The female wizard was the one who had bid first.

"230,000!"

The female wizard increased the bid again. Hearing that, the wizards seated on the ground floor let out a cheer. They had expected the female wizard to do something, and that was exactly what happened.

The deep male voice was quiet. He didn’t raise the bid. But the person had already sent his followers outside. He was executing his backup plan.

It didn’t matter who won the final auction item. The real winner was the person who left the city unscathed.

The person with the deep male voice spoke to his guardian to be prepared. Because of it, a tense situation was taking place outside Market City.

A fight could take place at any time.

The female wizard was tapping the armrest. She was curious whether the other VIPs still had money to spend. She could only bid one or two more times.

"240,000!"

An old female voice sounded all of a sudden.

Everyone quieted down all of a sudden. They had thought it was a fight between the female wizard and the deep-voiced wizard.

But they didn’t expect the voice of an old woman to appear all of a sudden. The old woman shocked everyone.

Auctioneer Elowen swept her gaze across the people. She, too, didn’t expect the old woman to bid for the item.

"Why are you taking so much time?"

"Announce the bid," the old female wizard said in a serious tone.

Hearing that, Auctioneer Elowen collected her thoughts. She was displeased. She wanted others to make a bid.

Only if the bid went higher could they make some commission.

"240,000, going once!"

Elowen announced. Her gaze fell on the VIP room.

The female wizard was tense. She wanted the item at all costs. Now that the bid had increased, she could only bid once.

"250,000!"

She shouted. Her voice reached everyone in the auction house building. The wizards on the ground floor cheered out loud.

Finally, the female wizard made the bid. Her supporters cheered out loud. But they didn’t know she could only bid once.

In the room, the female wizard was patiently waiting. But she was quite nervous as well. She didn’t know whether the man with the deep voice was going to make a bid.

But the deep-voiced wizard didn’t say anything. The old woman didn’t bid further. There was a high chance that the female wizard was going to win the bid.

Meanwhile,

Auctioneer Elowen once again looked towards the others. She looked at the three VIP rooms, but there was no sound. She saw the fifth room as well.

The mysterious young wizard was not making a bid.

"250,000, going once!"

Auctioneer Elowen said in a serious tone.

Quiet!

The atmosphere quieted down. The wizards on the ground floor understood that the auction was going to end.

"250,000, going twice!"

Auctioneer Elowen said it again. She also understood that no one was going to bid further. But they might fight outside Market City.

On the other hand, I was waiting for the zero puppet. It made its appearance. It entered the room in red smoke form.

"Master," the zero puppet greeted before reverting to its original form.

It appeared in the form of a black knight.

"What did you find?" I asked.

Hearing that, the zero puppet began to report on everything. It found out that everyone was going outside Market City. That would decide the final winner of the auction.

When the zero puppet finished explaining everything, my eyes flashed with understanding.

I was expecting a target on my back as well. Then I told the zero puppet to turn into red smoke form.

Hearing that, the zero puppet turned into red smoke.

Auctioneer Elowen was going to announce it for the last time.

"250,000, going three times!" she said.

"The female wizard is the final winner," she said.

Hearing that, the wizards stood up from their seats and started clapping, while others decided to leave.

Some of them walked up to the exit. They were waiting to leave the place, while others didn’t realize the danger.

Meanwhile,

The female staff took the box containing the herbal fruit treasure. They were going to take the box to the female wizard. Auctioneer Elowen didn’t leave the place.

She was waiting for the Manager to give the green signal. When the female wizard completed the transaction, the Manager sent the message to Auctioneer Elowen.

On the other hand, Auctioneer Elowen checked the message. After doing that, she said, "Everyone, thanks for coming. The auction has ended. You guys leave the place."

Hearing that, the wizards made their way towards the exit. They were leaving the auction house building one by one. They knew that a fight might occur outside Market City.

They had to leave the place. Otherwise, they could get caught in the fight. They knew that the VIPs hadn’t left the place yet. They would leave next.
