Gravity Mage with Level-Up System

Chapter 2152: A Clue

Chapter 2152: A Clue

Outside Vast Sea

The raven aircraft flew over the city, and it finally left the area of the landmass that contained the sea nations.

From the cockpit, I could see the situation down below. There was activity from the local fishermen.

But there was no sign of wizard movement nearby. Yet I had this feeling that something would change soon.

One hour later,

[Ding! The presence of wizards was detected ahead.]

I heard the system voice in my mind. Hearing that, I raised my eyebrows. Then I confirmed with the system that they were all wizards below level 10. There were no Supreme or Magic Lords among them.

I slowed down to watch their activities. I wondered whether they were exploring undersea resource sites. The members inside the room were watching the scene as well.

If there were any dangerous wizards lurking nearby, they would know. It was because everyone was alert after entering the sea. Lady Caitlin was particularly cautious.

She knew the strength of their Master. He was a very young, talented Supreme Wizard. She didn’t know whether he could detect the presence of Magic Lords or Forbidden Wizards hiding nearby.

A powerful Magic Lord could truly hide their presence. It was the same case with a Forbidden Wizard. That was why Lady Caitlin was being extra careful.

If any Magic Lord were to cause surprises, they were there to handle the situation. But if a Forbidden Wizard were to appear in front of them, then it could become dangerous for them.

Not only her; the old man Rock was being responsible as well. Though he was injured, his bloodline magic gave him a sense of alertness, so he would also know when there was danger.

On the other hand, the raven aircraft appeared directly above the large sea vessel. There were wizards on board.

There were a few in the sea who were casting water magic spells on the water’s surface.

Seeing that, I got intrigued, but I had my own mission to do. I could not afford to spend time here. Next, I increased the aircraft’s speed.

Swoosh!

The raven aircraft sped swiftly through mid-air. It didn’t take long for the aircraft to cover more of the sea area as it flew toward the coordinates.

I spotted many vessels on the sea; they were doing the exact same job. It was happening everywhere. The members inside the cabin saw this as well.

On the other hand, the scene looked beautiful on the surface. But I was mindful of the wizards as well. It was possible that there was a member of the Covenant Wizards among them.

The Covenant already had their eyes on the border city. I wouldn’t be surprised if they had a similar operation in the surrounding cities as well.

The raven aircraft continued on its course. We had only started seeing the exploration, but I knew that the real locations of the resource sites were further away from this place.

Time passed.

I started seeing more and more vessels. At the same time, the system reminders were increasing as well.

If any Magic Lords were nearby, he would know. The Zero Puppet in red smoke form was next to me.

The other members were there as well. Seeing that they were vigilant, I was satisfied. Then I turned my attention toward the outside scene.

Not long after, I heard the system voice again, but this time my expression shifted dramatically.

[Ding! A Forbidden Wizard and two Magic Lords were detected.]

Swoosh!

The next second, I appeared inside the system space along with the raven aircraft and the members on board.

Next, I opened the cockpit and rushed outside. With a thought, I appeared inside the Gregor Mansion. I quickly went to the control room to check.

Then I saw on the control mirror that an old man had appeared in the previous spot of the raven aircraft, followed by two Magic Lords.

A cold glint flashed in my eyes. I didn’t expect the Forbidden Wizard to spot us. Fortunately, the raven aircraft was in stealth mode.

But I didn’t know whether this Forbidden Wizard had seen through it. The next second, I heard them talking. I pushed away my thoughts and looked toward them.

Outside

"Master, what’s wrong?" a black-haired, middle-aged man asked. He didn’t know why his master was standing like that.

The other middle-aged man had the same question. Both of them were looking toward the old man.

"Shh!"

The old man quieted them down all of a sudden.

Seeing that, their faces shifted dramatically. They hadn’t heard a scolding from the old man in a long time.

The old man was sure he had spotted an aircraft. Even though the aircraft was in stealth mode, it could not escape the eyes of a Forbidden Wizard.

They could even see through rule power. How could insignificant technology block his eyes? He then glared at the two students.

"Harumph," he gave a cold snort.

If his students had wanted to, they could have discovered it. The aircraft’s stealth mode could be seen through by their Magic Lord eyes as well, but they were not that attentive.

The old man then spread his mental power. In the blink of an eye, the mental power covered a distance of more than 500 meters.

But he could not find a single clue. It was as if he were searching an empty sky. Yet he knew for a fact that his senses hadn’t tricked him. But his brain couldn’t explain the disappearance of the aircraft.

If it were some kind of space magic or the use of a teleportation scroll, it would have caused some disturbance in the environment.

But he saw that the mana was free-floating; it was not disturbed at all.

Both Magic Lords were worried that something might have happened to their Master. Lately, he had been under pressure to execute the plan of the elders.

But he hadn’t gotten any opportunities at all.

"Damn it!"

"What kind of powerful spell is that?" the old man muttered to himself.

It was heard by the two students as well. They couldn’t help but wonder what was going on.

"Master, what happened?" the black-haired, middle-aged man asked again.

This time, the old man turned around and started scolding them.

"I spotted a modern aircraft in stealth mode. But before I could capture it, the aircraft disappeared," the old man said.

"Master, we didn’t sense any aircraft," the black-haired, middle-aged man replied.

"Yes, Master. I didn’t sense one either," the other middle-aged man said.

Hearing that, the old man’s anger flared up. He didn’t know how two of his students had become Magic Lords.

The old man then shook his head and said, "There is no point in staying here. Let’s go; we have to watch over the imprisoned wizards."

Swoosh!

The old man then left the place with the two students.

At the same time, my heart turned cold. I was looking for the Forbidden Wizard Erwin, but I didn’t expect to get a breakthrough so soon.

Swoosh!

The next second, I appeared outside. I had used the system to cover my mana. No Magic Lord or Forbidden Wizard could see through my strength right now.

But I had this feeling that the old man might turn back all of a sudden. I started following him slowly from behind.

Swoosh!

The trio was heading somewhere, but it was definitely not toward the Black Mist Island. My eyes flickered.

I didn’t know where they were heading right now. It could be a prison run by the Covenant.

The old man was flying forward, with the two students flying side by side. For some unknown reason, he stopped all of a sudden.

Seeing that, the two Magic Lords stopped as well.

"Master, what happened?" a Magic Lord asked.

The other one quickly spread his mental power to check. He wondered if the modern aircraft had appeared again.

At the same time, I saw the reaction of the old man. Then, I appeared inside the Gregor Mansion.

Swoosh!

I disappeared from the spot. At the same time, the old man turned around. He saw no one behind him. The old man raised his eyebrows again.

His instincts were never wrong. He had felt that someone was behind them, but he saw there was no one outside right now.

The old man shook his head again. Seeing that, the two Magic Lords looked at each other. They understood that their Master had missed the aircraft again.

So they didn’t speak, so as not to anger him. The old man once again resumed the journey. The Magic Lords followed from behind.

Shortly afterwards,

I appeared outside. I didn’t know what to say; the old man had truly terrifying instincts. Then, I resumed following the old man.

I was sure that they were heading toward a secret location. It didn’t take long for me to spot an island ahead. That was where the old man and the Magic Lords were heading right now.

Finally, I had discovered some clues. I hoped the Forbidden Wizard Erwin was here.
