Hedonist Prodigy

Chapter 56: No Death Without a Death Wish

Chapter 56: No Death Without a Death Wish

Jiang Feng knew he had no time to waste. Whether for his own sake or for the sake of Fairy Tantai, whose fate remained uncertain, he had to strengthen himself as quickly as possible. At his current level of cultivation, any attempt to act would be severely constrained. If he wasn’t careful and fell into someone’s trap, he might not even know how he died.

When he stepped out of Huatian Club, he realized it was already dark—he had spent several hours inside. Just as he was about to hail a taxi back to his rented apartment, his gaze landed on a familiar figure: Li Yuanjue.

Li Yuanjue seemed to have come to Huatian Club for entertainment. Dressed impeccably, he had a woman draped over his arm—clearly drunk, her head hanging low, hair disheveled. From a distance, her face was indistinct.

Behind Li Yuanjue trailed a young man with decent looks but an obsequious demeanor, bowing and scraping in a way that instantly grated on Jiang Feng’s nerves.

Their eyes met. Li Yuanjue’s expression darkened momentarily, his gaze flashing with venom before he turned away. He beckoned the young man over, whispered a few words, and together they shoved the drunken woman into a car. Two vehicles—a military-green Hummer and a white BMW—pulled away, heading toward the city center.

Jiang Feng frowned. He hadn’t expected to cross paths with Li Yuanjue twice in such a short time. Normally, a nobody like Li Yuanjue wouldn’t even register on his radar. But what puzzled him was Li Yuanjue’s uncharacteristic restraint. Given the man’s usual arrogance, he should have either attacked on sight or at least hurled some threats.

Yet this time, Li Yuanjue had done nothing but glare before leaving. Jiang Feng quickly dismissed the thought, flagged down a taxi, and leaned back to rest.

But the moment his eyes closed, a figure flashed through his mind. His eyes snapped open.

“Turn left. Faster,” he ordered the driver.

*****

The Hummer and BMW entered the underground parking lot of a five-star hotel. Li Yuanjue glanced at the unconscious woman in the car, his eyes glinting with lust.

“Hurry up. Carry her inside,” he barked at the young man from the BMW.

The man nodded obediently, scooping the woman into his arms and following Li Yuanjue into the elevator. They ascended to the 38th floor, where Li Yuanjue kept a permanent presidential suite.

Li Yuanjue swiped his keycard and gestured for the man to dump the woman on the bed.

“You can scram now,” he said dismissively.

The young man hesitated. “Young Master Li, I…”

Li Yuanjue smirked. “What? Want to join in? Or are you having second thoughts?”

The man shook his head frantically. “No, no! I wouldn’t dare! It’s just… she’s my girlfriend. We’ve been together for two years. I never even touched her. So maybe…”

His unspoken desire was obvious in his eyes.

Li Yuanjue chuckled darkly. “Fine. Wait outside. Once I’m done, you can have your turn.”

Originally, Li Yuanjue had no intention of sharing. But running into Jiang Feng had put him in a foul mood, and he no longer cared.

The man’s face lit up. “Thank you, Young Master Li!”

He exited, closing the door softly behind him. The moment it clicked shut, his expression twisted into something vicious.

“Ji Yan… Two years I chased you. Two years I treated you well, never forced you. And yet, you refused to even sleep with me. If this is how you repay me, don’t blame me for what happens next. Besides, Young Master Li promised me five million afterward. Consider it interest on what I’ve spent on you.”

*****

Inside the suite, Li Yuanjue stood by the bed, drinking in the woman’s figure. Though fully clothed, her toned, sun-kissed skin exuded a wild allure.

“A university teacher, huh? I’ve had all kinds of women, but never a teacher. Don’t worry—tonight, I’ll make sure you enjoy yourself.”

He stripped off his jacket, tossed it aside, and strode into the bathroom.

Soon, the sound of running water filled the room.

*****

Jiang Feng arrived at the hotel but was stopped by security. Paying the taxi fare, he slipped into the parking garage instead. Spotting the Hummer and BMW, he took the elevator, avoiding cameras.

He had stayed here before and knew the layout well. Someone like Li Yuanjue would undoubtedly book the penthouse.

As the elevator ascended, Jiang Feng’s blood ran cold.

That drunken woman… Something about her had felt familiar. If she’d been d*ugged, she was in for a horrific night.

He wasn’t driven by some noble sense of justice. But if Li Yuanjue insisted on provoking him, he’d make sure the man never had the chance to do so again.

*****

On the 38th floor, Jiang Feng moved like a shadow. He scaled the exterior wall, clinging to the pipes like a gecko until he reached the suite’s window.

Peering inside, he saw Ji Yan motionless on the bed.

Li Yuanjue emerged from the bathroom, a towel around his waist, another drying his hair. He poured himself a glass of wine, savoring the sight before him.

“A teacher… and Jiang Feng’s teacher at that.” He smirked. “That waste dared to break my leg. I’ll settle that score sooner or later. I wonder how he’ll react when he finds out I fucked his precious teacher?”

Jiang Feng’s lips curled into a frosty smile. So, Li Yuanjue had targeted Ji Yan because of him.

Even if she meant nothing to Jiang Feng, Li Yuanjue would still hurt her—just to spite him.

That realization extinguished any hesitation.

Li Yuanjue had signed his own death warrant.

“And to think,” Li Yuanjue mused aloud, “your pathetic boyfriend sold you out for a fake promise of five million. Tsk. Expensive, aren’t you?”

So, Ji Yan had been betrayed by her own boyfriend—the same sycophant Jiang Feng had seen earlier.

Disgust coiled in his gut. That man was already dead in his eyes.

Li Yuanjue drained his glass, tossed it aside, and reached for Ji Yan’s buttons—

Then the lights went out.

“Chang Shan! What the hell are you doing?” Li Yuanjue roared.

No answer came. Only a swift chop to the back of his neck.

Li Yuanjue crumpled without a sound.

*****

In the living room, Chang Shan fidgeted on the couch, ears straining for any noise from the bedroom.

When he heard Li Yuanjue shout his name, he bolted up, assuming Ji Yan had woken.

He pushed open the door—

A sharp pain exploded at the base of his skull. His eyes rolled back as he collapsed.

Jiang Feng stepped over him, scanning for cameras. Finding none, he stomped down between Chang Shan’s legs.

If the man could sell out his own girlfriend, he didn’t deserve to remain a man.

Next, Jiang Feng turned to Li Yuanjue.

Crunch. Crunch. Crunch.

Five precise stomps later, Li Yuanjue would never walk—or use his limbs—again.

Scooping up Ji Yan, Jiang Feng leaped out the window and vanished into the night.
